I am considering buying a new mobile but I'm not sure which pne I should choose.
I am leaning towards Samsung but I just haven't heard of many first hand experiences with the two models listed below.
Nokia E63
Samsung i637 Jack
Samsung Pro B7320
I would have listed E71 as well but I already know how people feel about this phone. I know E72 is coming but I do not want to pay 16K.
Thanks.

I recently purchased a Nokia phone (E71) which has both languages on it but the English does not show with the back light. I have been able to order a English only keypad through Nokia.
I would prefer not to change the keypad. I imagine it is expensive to do this as well.
Does anybody know the approximate location of the shop I am referring to?

Hi,
I have heard a lot about a certain shop carrying mobile phones with English keypads (not Thai) in MBK on the 4th floor. However, after looking for it, I still cannot find this shop.
Does anyone have any idea where the shop is located? And how is their general assortment of phones with English keypad?
Thanks

BKK is pretty grey and dull. No, really.
As well, many expats here are of a different breed than in other Asian cities/countries where I have been expatriated. But I guess they are a byproduct of girls & booze.

Huh, they sell Apple in Carrefour? I have to admit that I haven't been there for some while (as my better half does the shopping), but is this in the Carrefour store, or is there a small Apple store in the building?
Thanks!
At that price, surely it must be display models?

The gourmet supermarket in Emporium have a good selection of good quality (already prepared) food.
They also have ingredients like you mentioned. For Bagels go to Au Bon Pain - they have many branches, in Emporium as well.

try looking in the marketplace section of pantip.com
and checking at Siam Discovery is not a bad idea either.
I love my imac!
Thanks. Any way to change the website to English language?

Does anybody know where to get the best deal on a Apple IMAC in BKK?
Saw a while back that one of the authorized shops in Emporium had THB 5-6K discount. Sadly, they no longer have this.
Anyone with a good source?
Thanks.

If you are ever in contact with "decent" Thais, then you would think differently.
Yeah, I suppose you are right and know it all. It's not like I am Thai, was born in Bangkok (Bangkok Christian Hospital in Silom), still hold dual Thai/US citizenship (meaning I can, and do own land), worked in Bangkok, am in Thailand at my house right now, and can count 18 relatives within a 40 km radius of my house. Maybe one day--one day--I could be in contact with a 'decent' Thai. I would be ever so grateful if you could impart your wisdom so that I could perhaps aspire to your level of familiarity with Thai culture.
That's even worse... been living in a mental asylum all these years?
By the way, amusing that you dodged the first part of my post.
Anyways, nice stats dude.

Such things as sex, alcohol, Thais are definately more relaxed than in the West.
Yeah, if you are 9-5 in PATPONG... Above is just not true.
Yeah, whatever.
In California if you are convicted of drunk drive (BAC lever >0.08) you will face a minimum $2500 fine, your license will be suspended, and you will do a mandatory 48 hours in jail on a first offense. In Thailand, if you are caught driving drunk, you will probably slip the policeman (or policewoman) several hundred baht and they will probably let you drive off (or ride off in the case of a motorcycle) on the vehicle they caught you on. Which country is more lenient on alcohol?
In the City of Los Angeles, several years ago, there was an ordinance that if a person was convicted of soliciting a prostitute in their car, the car was seized and sold by the city. In the county of San Bernardino there was a recent crackdown on prostitution where men caught picking up a prostitute had their pictures published in the newspaper. In Thailand areas such as Patpong, Soi Cowboy, and the whole of Pattaya, no one really cares. Which country has a more relaxed attitude on sex?
Now you're just rambling, are those seriously your arguments? I think you should've mentioned if this was not in regards to the "general public" but police corruption. If you are ever in contact with "decent" Thais, then you would think differently.

Saw the launch in Emporium last weekend.
Anybody heard anything about it or have any experiences with it?
Seems cheap at 12.900 a pop with Windows Mobile. I fiddled around with the sales persons Sense 80 and it seems pretty good.

Can't wait to hear Thai youth around BKK throwing around phrases like "Y'all catz iz wack na, nahmsayin'" and "We gonna kick it at Siam Square jahhh, for shizzle".
Good luck, gangsta.
My bet is that you will be broke before the 10th every month on 30K. Too many temptations...

I have to say that Pool 13 is the best place I've seen to date.
Pool 13 is good been there recently.
Ok, then we agree, Super Hans

New Wave, Factory, BULLY'S, Gulliver's, Morning Night? You've got to be kidding me.
Ball In Hand takes it. Sports Academy (Which is open again on top of Bush Garden) is not bad as well.
Where's Bush Garden?
This thread was about Pool bars. NOT pool-halls.
Bush Garden is also above Thermae.....?
You don't go to pool bars for good games of pool. Go to BIH for good games of pool and to pool bars for everything else and games of shit pool with your lady friend of the night. Problem solved.

Since girlx mentioned ladies night there's also Coyote on Soi Convent - Wednesdays and Saturdays. Not sure if the one on Sukhumvit does the same.
The one on Sukhumvit has ladies' night every Thursday as far as I can recall. They have free-flow Margarita for the chicks with no dicks...
Supposedly a lot of funky dudes & groovy chicks come there on ladies' night. Well whatever, a lot of expats show up there any night of the week anyways I guess.
