Right, I agree this Ben Reymenants character has already been discredited.

Were they able to replenish the air tanks? Sounds like they depleted quite a few of those resources yesterday.

Hoping that two made it to chamber 3. Would like to get some confirmation.

5 minutes ago, Spock said:How many of the divers are American? I have only really heard a lot about the Australian and English divers. Trust Trump to try and take the credit.
Apparently some, but who is keeping score?

Story broke my internet but it seems to have recovered, best news seems to be originating on TV, being used as a source by many.

St Louis has hired a replacement director for Keith Welsh. Supposed to start in June.
As far as we can tell it was another budget hire; out of what we understand was a fairly qualified applicant pool.

Guess what, the rector of Webster University Thailand was finally put on extended sabbatical, i.e. administrative leave.
The home office replaced him with a caretaker in early June 2016.
The school had been under scathing attacks for years and the home management finally took action in an attempt to minimize the damage.

The problem with Stamford is it does not have much international standing. They have done well since being taken over by Laureate in terms of enrollment.
However the international credibility just isn't there. Stamford has no International accreditation that I am aware of.
I saw on the website they recently joined the lowest of the programmatic business accreditor IACBE, but only as a member. They are not accredited.
They could be though, the IACBE process is not rigorous and schools generally do not fail. Its more a matter of spending the money. Like a degree mill.
Problem is cross town rival Webster, has been accredited by the more respected ACBSP since 2008. ACBSP is focused on teaching excellence and demonstrating that learning outcomes are being met.
There is another accreditor AACSB, it is the one that Sasin has and it requires the highest percentages of PhD's and research output.
So what's up with that? Stamford decides to go for international standing and picks the lowest tier?
Give your students a credential that will travel!

The manager of International recruitment-Dutch national did not get along so well with a US veteran of Iraq, Said the American spoke funny, mocked his military service. Stamford accepts the GI Bill, but he former service member claimed in the FB post that the university i.e. the Dutchman screwed him out funds. Maybe it is the scam where the funds go to the school first rather than the student. Its hard to what is what but the American genuinely appeared to believe that he had been cheated.

Using an existing company, I've purchased both land from the Thai Housing Bank and repo'ed land (rice farm) from the bank where the owner had died in prison and defaulted. Generally you will submit a bid and a security deposit. The bid I submitted on the repo was less than the asking price but the dealer did give a suggested amount on what he thought would be accepted. The land bank was a full price offer but it was a goodly deal also. My money was paid in several stages as they asked. They sent a rep to the land office on the day it was transferred. The repo buyout took about three months to complete the outright purchase from the housing/land bank about 1 month. I managed to pull this off without the use of of lawyer but later used a lawyer on my company restructure.

I had an existing company owning land, house etc and made my children (1/2 Thai) shareholders afterwards I was permitted to do this under a reorganization.

So I guess this guy is claiming to have bought a couple of 7.5 m baht condos off of P' Noi.

Thailand is such a big hassle now, I always had a Visa when I live there but there other places are as good or better and you won't have such a hard time on the visa. I'm thinking of pulling some investments out of Thailand and going for Vietnam.

I think visitors might get bored after a bit but there is plenty to do and alot of people like to live there. It has high property values and in my opinion infrastructure is lagging for the growth that has taken place. Its a pain sometimes to get downtown on the busy weekends during the daytime and early evening with the road congestion, a motorbike does make it easier, it can really get gridlocked with cars and trucks. But seriously, the other forum (local) does cover HH better.

Hello,
does anyone know what kind of qualifications one might need to lecture (as opposed to getting hired as some kind of tenure-track professor) at a Thai university? Feel free to tell me I'm dreaming but does anyone ever get hired to lecture on a Bachelor's degree?
Sure a BA or a BS will do it for a promising candidate. You will always be a position of weakness though in my opinion even if you prove your value.

I can't imagine that the Thais would be granting academic standing to any farangs too quickly. I could see this dangled as a carrot maybe that's about it.

For me its baht 100 K month minimum. I lived in Thailand b4 but not BKK. I left to make decent money elsewhere in Asia. I would like to go back though for more than a visit at some point
