  1. The best one I know and use is in the forecourt parade of shops in the PTT gas station on the ring road near Ohm Cycles, Chewang. can't remember the name but the phone number is: 077961852. good quality T shirts and printing. Hope this helps.

  2. Agreed that Ohm Cycles is the place to rent. He has Harleys, super fast bikes and trail bikes.. Check out his Ducati's. Don't listen to advice from old men on Clicks who are talking out of their catalytic converters... Go for it and have a great time. :)

hi is the predadores a fairly new club from the red and gold nation ?how many members have ye got down there ..???

Hi barrybike. Yes. Predadores MC is a Bandido Support Club, here on Samui. Some members split from The Samui Pirates MC. We have 5 fully patched members, 2 prospects and a hangaround. Gotta have a Harley to join... Oh and a bad attitude!!!! :D:D:D only joking!!!! SYLB BFFB

  3. I have been to Patong and I know that on any given night, there's more than 80 Katoeys (transvestites, cross dressers, etc) in Patong. Forget the estimate that was quoted in the Thai media.

Patong has many Katoeys and they are typically aggressive and prone to illegal activities such as theft, etc. This is a problem that the Thais should have cleaned up 20-years ago. Patong is virtually a war zone and the the victims are any foreigner that enters. There are so many scams in Patong(including the Katoeys) that I cannot begin to ennumerate. If you're a foreigner, just stay away!

1- only a small minority of ladyboys are criminal

2- I've yet to come across a criminal ladyboy

3- Patong ladyboys are not typically agressive, what have you been smoking? In fact, they are much friendlier than most shop attendants in my home town.

4- 'so many scams' LOL, it has been said before, but people should use their brain!

It's so easy to pick on, make fun of a minority. Typical stereotyping. Some of you people should be ashamed.

This is how a certain "minority" in Germany must have felt in the early 1930s.

  4. Hi. Our 5 month old baby is in need of an operation. We have sought advice from a few hospitals here in Phuket and were told it is a relatively small procedure. The last place we went was Bangkok hospital, where the very impressive surgeon explained in detail how it could easily get complicated. He suggested we go to Surat Thani, where they have pediatric university hospital. This is a government hospital, and I can't seem to find any information on it. Can anyone tell me anything about it, or if they have any experience with it

Hi, there are 2 hospitals in Surat Thani, the first is the government hospital and the second is a private one called the Thaksin Hospital (no relation to a former pm).

I would think he is referring to the Thaksin hospital I was there only last week, it has an excellent reputation and is well known for its pediatric care. My family have used there services and so have friends of mine and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Your baby will be in good hands and the costs are very reasonable.

I can recommend the Thaksin Hospital. They have many specialists and do not charge a fortune

  5. Given the very good turnout at the big bike event on Koh Phangan, it seems there is more interest in that sort of thing then I ever imagined. (what do I know, I live with a fisherman, all I know is fish :D )

So, spread the word biker people on the islands, the ThaiVisa biker charity event should be another great event for you biker people to meet up! Another excuse to ride. :)

  6. Wonder if this chap has anything to do with the event????????????????????? :)

absolutely nothing, i just think its helpful for people to know what going on on the island. if i was involved in planning in the event i would have said that in the first place.

here's some pics from last night, it was a great evening

the red bike on the 3rd picture is mine BTW

Great photos. Thanks. Nice bike BTW. I hope this is going to be a regular annual event.

  7. i've heard that there is some kind of big bike meeting planned for October 18 at that place in Baan Tai that has the sign that looks like a Harley logo, i think its called 'The Beach' but not sure about that. anyhow, its in the middle of Baan Tai, near the pier.

perhaps if someone has more info about the actual event plans they can post.

    steve

Wonder if this chap has anything to do with the event????????????????????? :)

  8. I've seen the place, the owner is a biker type, and Ive heard he hopes to bring people over on the car ferry but thats as much as I've heard too.

Let me check with my Samui Chapter - might know..

Samui is bad enough to get to, but KPN????????????????????????

Its astonishing people have even made it to the island all these years. The hassle of having to take a boat to get anywhere! How primitive :)

Ever tried riding a Harley on and off the ferry when there's even a small swell? Probably not. Believe me, it's not much fun.... :D:D
