Masimo is the leading brand of hospital pulse oximeters 1 because Masimo devices provide accurate measurements when other pulse oximeters fail by using revolutionary Signal Extraction Technology® (SET®) .

Masimo is a sophisticated oximeter far more than the average person would need. SET is a new system. As a severe COPD sufferer I have used ChoiceMed oximeters both standard and ones that record and are downloadable to PC. I have been using oximeters for many years and I check them against hospital ones. They are made in China but I have never had a problem.

There is a well known syndrome among many people who have temporarily elevated blood pressure when they go to see a doctor. Happens to me every time, i.e. every month when I go to renew my prescription. Sometimes the nurse will take it a second time after a ten or fifteen minute wait and it's back down to normal, sometimes it doesn't go back down. My doctor, who I have complete faith in, says it's nothing to worry about.

    White Coat Syndrome.

In totally the wrong position for a lift like that. He should have been sideways on then he would have had the legs and counterbalance weights in his favour. Lifting over the rear is asking for trouble and shows inexperience as there is nothing to stop it toppling. Plus I will bet the alarms had been removed/faulty.

Most mobile crane lift charts will show over the rear have the highest capacities. The SLI, safe load indicator, was either being ignored or was not working.

  4. R.I.P. to the men and condolences to their respective families. I have spent many years of my life involved in the inspection of lifting equipment./ slings. With all the available different qualities of wire rope yes there could be such a large difference in the price. The sling should have been supplied with documentation to trace the wire rope back to the origin of the material. Also a set of documents of the proof of the integrity of the manufactured sling. QHSE ??????. They should have the wire rope sent for a destruction test at a certified test facility to confirm the tensile strength of the wire rope. The wire rope is maybe OK as the break seems to be at the termination.

    Just asking:

They know what to expect on Thailand (Pattaya) roads?

They are experienced with driving in such a chaos?

Yes they are aware of our traffic as they have been here many times over the years. They want to do a bit of self drive this time so just confirming my thoughts. Thanks all.
