  1. I have them but I make sure I time my trips to Thailand so I don't have to get them there.
They cost $1050 in Australia if you don't have access to the pcb scheme and $6.30 if you have access
The contents of the injections have to be mixed before having it so I'd be a bit worried having a Thai doing it especially if the instructions were in English.
Apart from that I hate having them I haven't had a decent night's sleep since i started them.

  2. According to local news, Sappasit Rd. between Benjama School and Central will be closed for 8 months starting February 7. They are building a new road and bridge.

The closure of this road will create massive traffic jams around Benjama school, the water department, Tha Waan Hin market, Chonlabrataan-Tha bor Road and the u-turn on the ring road opposite Cockpit tyre shop. I am glad I no longer have children to take to Benjama school.

Been away from Ubon for sometime has this road reopened yet?

  3. Heard that Thai smile are going to keep flying out of swampy for the time being, was said that they were going to be only flying out of don mueng after the end of October anyone else heard this? hope its true.

  4. Has anyone used Westpac on line banking to transfer Australian dollars to the Bangkok bank in the past couple of months? The reason I ask is because the last two times I have done this the transfer has ended up at another bank, Citi bank, then you are charged a transfer fee by Bangkok bank between 700 and 730 baht to get it in to your account.

The first time this happened I was in Thailand and I fronted the bank as to why this was happening and they told me that Westpac had sent it to the wrong bank. When I got back to Oz I also fronted the Westpac bank about this after getting a letter from Bangkok bank saying it was nothing to do with them but everything to do with Westpac, their answer was that they don't have a transfer deal going with Bangkok bank and the money could go to another bank because of this. That was like waving a red flag in front of a bull and I told them that I wanted the 720 baht that I had to pay refunded by them because it clearly stated on the transfer that it was to go into a Bangkok bank account after threating to close my account with them they paid up but then came out saying if I had done the transfer at the bank counter instead of online this would not have happened. what a croc of <deleted>.

Thursday, I transferred Australian dollars to the same account and it looks like its happened again after 48 hours the money has not gone into the account, I will be off to see Westpac first thing on Monday morning. Not Happy.
