Thanks for all the input we finally called out the engineer who replaced one of the boxes not sure what he did but it's working again what I can gather is it was a faulty box.

Got a problem I've got a True Hd box and two free to air digital boxes which have True free tv on them (not True boxes though). Their all going out to a single feed via three what I suspect are boosters( single side band modulators) don't know that much about this sort of thing. Trouble is when I connect the second free to air box the other free to air box looses signal.

Anyone got any suggestions before I call in a tv guy thanks.

Thanks for all the good advice with it I think we've discovered the problem. We have satelite, internet and telephone cables running throught the same conduit that runs around the lift doorway and they've also placed the booster box for the satelite right next to the lift entrance.

Reckon on using an extra cable to by pass all the conduit and run it straight from outside direct to a reciever and see if it rectifies the problem before ripping all the nicely fitted out.

I have a small hotel with a big problem everytime the lift works we get sparklies across every TV screen, ask the TV guy and he says it's a lift problem ask the lift guy he says it's a TV problem.

Can anyone give me any idea about how to go about ridding us of these irritating little .........tykes.

Go to Mor Chit or Ekamai bus stations cost around 110 baht, you arrive at Pattaya bus station take a pick up style baht bus into Pattaya ring the bell when you want to get off and give the guy 20 baht (may be more now) as said above lots of cheap guesthouses to stay for around 400-500 baht per night.

Somebody been writing this article from afar, I tried the express train out yesterday and it was suprisingly stress free. Can't see where the trains are looking old and out of date and if you've got baggage why not use the lift instead of heaving them up the stairs and as for not connected to ANY airport I know people call Suvarnabhumi a lot of things but it IS an airport and the station is connected directly inside the building.

It's not fully functional yet as said the baggage check ins not open and it all looks a bit empty and half completed but theres signs up for shops and cafes so I imagine these are yet to come, the fare is only 100 baht same day return at the moment or 15 baht single on the city line so lets just wait till it's completed and the fares are increased to 150 single.

Personally if theres two of you travelling I'd prefer a taxi door to door for a little extra, don't think the wife would be too happy changing transports with bags in tow but if your coming into town peak time it's just as easy to take the train as a taxi, be in the centre in 15 minutes and take your taxi from there.

What like that similar scam, sorry scheme, where people could be compensated for having to stay longer at hotels in BKK when the airport was overrun by bandits. Oh brother.

Where was the scam? as soon as your flight date came around they put you up free of charge in a four or five star hotel and gave you a 1,000 baht voucher per day for food at the hotels restaurant.
