Yes, for Premier status, a minimun balance of 3M baht is required (there are no monthly service charges). Your foreign currency accounts contribute to the Premier minimum balance. (Perhaps there are lower minumums that have a S/C)

also, if you get a minimum 5mil baht condo mortgage that gets you Premier status (thats how I first got it) or if you hold 3mil baht of mutual funds/fixed deposits etc. that also contributes to the minimum balance...

the only calls I recieved subsequently were from HSBC sales folks trying to sell me Mutual Funds.

I am actually thinking of buying mutual funds from Aberdeen, UOB or ING from my HSBC Premier relationship manager (just for convenience)....

just wondering.....do they mark-up the prices to me (or do the mutual funds just pay them a commission as a sales agent/broker)....

Trajan regarding your question :the funds company do pay Hsbc comission as a broker -i know this cause i have recently just purchased a few .hope it helps mate

I only up to now really only saw it once :

Black guy was staying in the same hotel as me and a Katoey who was waiting for someone in the bar started having a go against him for being black whilst the guy was simply just having a drink -there was NO reason whatsoever for the Katoey to quick of as the guy was just minding his own business i can assure you of this i just think that the katoey was really high as a kite .

The Katoey weighted about 60 kilos max and this guy about a good 120 -one go and it would have punched the Katoey flat out but he just decided to make a move into his room after listenining for 10 min of abuse .

Ill go along with Pumpuiman on this one -from an income perspective it just doesnt seems like its a good idea -1-2 movies a day times license.management,staff,copyrights,land space bla bla bla and what not i dont think its worth it even though it its an interesting idea all in all
