Im gone, not just to do with bars closing although it is the cherry on the cake, my reason is that basicly we're not wanted, im tired of their backwards ideas, the racism i face everyday, and to be honest its not that good anyway, compared to kl hk singapore, and tapai it fails miserbly, for many reasons one of which is the night life, plus we're always being told be polite to the thais their our hosts, its their country and your a guest, and i whole hartedly agree with that, but i also feel if you are a host, treat your guests with some respect, and manners, ive had to many thais, talk to me like shit, muttering thai under their breath which they think i dont understand, calling me cheap i've put more money into thailand in the last 5 years, then most will earn in a lifetime, even with that stupid falang sending the monthly 20,000 b,

Well i think many thais wnat us here, probably all the thais that live of tourists in fact, and why is it that in england when you watch television the thai govermant are spending buckets of money advertising thailand as a holiday destitnation asking us to come here, thailand was built on the tourist dollar i would be thrilled to see the results of a two year abseance of all tourist not just farangs but asians and arabs as well, not a single tourist dollar for two years the country would be broke we would be begged to come back and as for visa we'd get permanant stay on arrival, just take time to think about how far that money spent in a bar or disco goes, if samui didnt have people partying and drinking all those years ago their wouldnt be an airport there wouldnt be people working at the airport people would'nt of been paid to build it and so on and so on

Ok maerim, i'm a liar, the whole story was made up, the police arn't cracking down on drink driving, he didnt stay in jail two days, he did'nt give a urine test in the police station, which by the way was'nt also tested for drugs, he didnt get fined or deported, he is'nt in england trying his hard'st to find a way to get off the ban and return,

And if it takes someone like me to make you look good, boy you got some problems,

maerim, you plonker, the reason he sat in jail for two days is because he was nabbed on a friday night and the court in patts is'nt open on weekends so he had to wait till monday, which plonker is two days, same thing as those on overstay worst time to get nabbed is a friday everyone knows that, well if not ya better

Theres a clamp down on drink driving at the mo and sadly an old boy who lives in my soi has got the brunt of it,

As he has done for the last 6 years, me old mucker finisehed off the last of his 4 changs got on his bike and started his drive home, on thrid road in pattaya he found himself in a traffic jam, as the traffic moved he was beckond by a police man to pull into a coned section, whats this he thinks got me helmet on, the police ask "do you have lisence" he did and he showed it to them, "are you drink today?" err never been asked this one before, yes he replies 2 beers, he then has to join a line to blow into the breathalizer and is 2 times over the limit, he then spends the next 2 days in jail goes to court is fined and then transfered to bkk, deported and as a bonus got a nice red stamp saying dont come back,

seems a bit extreme, but the thais always seem to rush in and be harsh with thease "crack downs",

it realy looks like things are changing, they now have breathalizers, whats gonna happen when they start using speed guns to arrest you for driving to fast??

nookie, give up and get outta the situation, i've been shunned for saying this before but its us vs them, its all a game and it seems you may be on the down side of this one, pack up and start again, dont look back in anger and remember what dont kill ya only makes you stronger!!!
