  1. I'm 78 years old and I left Thailand last Sept 2020 to care for my brother in the UK. I'm on a one-year extension to stay based on a retirement visa which expires on June  6th. What insurance do I need to return to Thailand? Does it have to be a Thai Insurance company or can I return on a 90-day travel insurance UK based?
Anyone on here been dealing with the Thai Embassy in London?
Thanks in advance for any helpful reply's

  2. I am posting this for a friend

Can anyone advise me on a problem i have with an extension for a tourist visa please.

My friend came to Thailand with a 60 day tourist visa.Within a week he had a stroke and
was taken to Bangkok Pattaya hospital, where he was in a coma for most of the visa time.
The hospital although receiving no money (because no insurance), gave me a form stating
he was unable to breathe unassisted or walk, a visa extension was required, for which the immigration
office gave 30 days.I had to pay 1900 baht and he has now been moved to a care home in Prachin
Buri. The care home has asked me to look after his passport as they are afraid they'll lose it. My friend
has no money to speak of and i believe the hospital is paying the care home. His visa is due for renewal
again, so what will be the procedeure now and will 1900 baht have to be paid every time.I have just been
up to see him and there is very little improvement and so he'll not be going anywhere for the foreseeable
future,Maybe never in the condition he is now
    Thank you
  3. am suspicious of these web sites . I will track one down and let you know.

    As I would be!

I checked one site and started to downoad it briefly without getting a "pop up", so I assumed it was free as claimed and clicked off as my connection is slow (mobile!), so my apologes if I misled you. I think the ability or willingness of agents to help varies, so it may be worth trying more than one dealer/area, depending on where you are. When I asked for an English User Manual for a Toyota Yaris from the Pattaya dealer it took a couple of months, while the dealer in Rayong got one for our Prerunner within a couple of days.

Hi John just to let you know I have tracked down a hand book for the pcx in English on a cd—so if anyone wants a copy ,get in touch with me and i will forward one .

    Cheers

  4. Have you tried Googling honda pcx 125i handbook english?

The first few sites all offer free downloads.

Hi John Thank,s for your reply --Yes i have Googled honda pcx 125i handbook english and like you say free download ,but when you go to the sites they want your credit card ., so they are not free --I do not mind paying for a hand book , but am suspicious of these web sites . I will track one down and let you know.

    Cheers

  7. First stock fridge with beer and Regency. Next, haul out the "Liquidator" from the previous 3 years, clean, check firing mechanism. Then, clean and check Glock 9 replica that fires sun tan lotion at 10 squirts a second. Next, drink shots of Regency, put on my " foam-dome"hat with 2 cold cans. Jump on back of motorbike and, with girlfriend driving, fire indiscriminately at people down the beach. Stop at beach bar to replenish foam dome, squirt proprietor, pee in the "Liquidator", jump back on bike and repeat process to the other end of the beach.Stop at home to replenish ammo, gulp Regency, hose down girlfriend, 2 cans in the dome, fire up Honda and terrorize beach again. Heaven, thy name is Songkran.

Sounds good i think i will do the same :o

  8. An expat friend is looking to order a new Toyota VIGO on his next visit, presumably the 4 door twin cab version (diesel) for cash.

I wont have the opportunity to visit a Toyota agent for a few days so can anyone tell me if there is a waiting list?

    thanks

No there is no waititng list , just take your money with you and you can usually pick it up next day.

have just brought new one myself. he will need past port visa details copys and a certificate of address where he is living in thailand.he can get one of these from thai immigration or from his embassy.
