  1. I plan to fly on a one-way Airasia ticket from Singapore to Bangkok on a two entry Thai tourist Visa next month.

My question is if Airasia requires a return/onward ticket from Thailand prior to boarding the SIN-BKK flight for tourist visa holders? And if so will they enforce it by not allowing me to fly from Singapore to Bangkok if I dont poesses the onward/return ticket in advance.

I tried calling their Singapore call center number multiple times but each time I was given a different answer by their representative. I also tried calling their Singapore Airport office and got no response.

    I would appreciate some advice.

    Thanks

  2. My thai girlfriend (we are not married) will deliver our baby in Chiangmai this year. I am aware that an Oct 2006 change to the thai immigration rules makes it impossible for me to obtain a long stay visa to support my child.

Question is will I be able to get a multi entry 1 year Non "O" visa from a US based Thai consulate to visit my thai child.

Btw, my name will be registered on the thai birth certificate.

    Would apreciate some advice.

    Thanks

  3. In response to Sam6345;

In September I called 7 of the Honorary Thai Consulates located throughout the US, as I wanted another Non-Immigrant Type O Multi Entry Visa this year. None would give me another one. Every one of the consulates said they would issue me a 60 Day Tourist Visa with Triple Entry so with extensions gotten locally it would have been nearly 9 months of residence here. I went the ED visa route instead as a trip home was the same as a year's thai language schooling.

The consulates in the US to my knowledge are NOT putting stamps in your passport like you hear about from Penang, and other Thai Embassies located in S/E Asian. I would contact them, but as Christmas in the US is a HUGE time off work holiday compared to here, I doubt you'd get an answer from them before the New Year.

Thanks Tod. I will probably take your advice and call the consulates after the new year.

  4. You are only allowed to stay in Thailand 90 days in a six month period using those 30 day stamps. If you had used the extensions they would not have been counted against that total.

You should not have any problem as you seem to meet the conditions of entry and have not used your 90 days (or any it would seem).

    Thanks for your response.

Dont worry about it Sam. You shouldn't have any problems at Maesai, been there loads of times before. Never been asked to show either the 10/20K cash or an onward ticket but it seems you have both anyway.

Enjoy yourself shopping at the markets there, on both sides of the border.

    Thanks Waveydavey

  5. I have been in thailand so far on a 2 entry Tourist Visa obtained from New York which is expiring in Jan. I got my last 60 day Tourist visa entry stamp at Mae Sai. The immigration authorities at Mae Sai also stamped a "WALK" and "TR-60" on the 60 day date stamp.

I have choosen to extend my stay for a month by doing a run at Mae Sai again but this time to get my first 30 day stamp since I have used up my 2 entry Tourist Visa. I prefer to do the visa run instead of getting the 1900 bt one month extention at the immigration office.

I have the necessary cash in bath (20K) and a printed website itenary of my onward travel airline ticket.

I am a bit apprehensive since this is my first 30 day stamp visa run after 2 consequetive Tourist visas. Could there be problems? Would appreciate some advice.

    Thanks
