  1. I am trying to find out for a friend who is looking at coming to Thailand for an operation about the medical visa and what it can provide, he will need a bit of rehab after the op for about 6 months they said, so is that possible under this visa? Any and all info on this one is appreciated

  2. I just asked a few hospitals for quotes of an ultrasound of the liver after an odd result on a LFT.

Samitivej in Sri racha - 3,800 baht for full abdominal scan plus doctors fees

Phayathai in Sri racha - 2,800 baht for full abdominal scan plus doctors fees

As a comparison, I decided to check with Rajavej which i have seen advertise in the Chiang Mai section, even though it is a long way from Pattaya and I haven't even dared ask the cost at the big hospital here which i won't name.

I got a quick email reply back in under 2 hours, which was very well written and said for a liver scan only an upper abdominal scan is needed and the price is 1,000 baht plus doctors fees, 2,000 baht for a full scan.

The questions are, do i really need a full scan or are the two in Sri Racha just loading the bill and why are prices in Chiang Mai so much cheaper.

  3. ^Park Lane only 33,000 B sqm ,and in the middle of Jomtien ,800 meters from the beach ,and having a huge pool .

How does everything else compare, 200 vs 800 m from the beach, Park Lane has huge? pool and?

  4. No idea but why bother - Food Mart (Jomtien) sells the Sausage King pies which are the biggest and tastiest in Pattaya

Just remember in Thailand there arnt any health and safety checks...I always imagined any of these pies are made by an overweight scouse with straggly hair and picks his nose while baking.........am probably wrong but the thought of buying anything 'home made' in Thailand just makes me wanna puke.stick to the frozen ones, they aint too bad.

Thailand does have health and safety for Food products and for those companies who do have the approval from the FDA it is fairly strict http://www.fda.moph.go.th/eng/index.stm
