  1. Please excuse the thread hijack, but this seems the best place to post this question - can someone please recommend the best place to watch the GP in Bangkok (Sukhumvit area) this evening, preferably some where they will have comentary? I was thinking about The Sportsman or Bully's but maybe someone knows somewhere better?

    Thanks,

    Dis.

  2. The title and description say it all!

I'm going to be driving from Pattaya to Buriram this weekend and just wondered if anyone had any experience/advice on the quickest/most convienent route to get there?

I was thinking of either taking the motorways via Nakhon Ratchasima (Roads 7,9,1,2 etc... ) or taking the cross country route (Roads 36, 311, 304, 24 etc...) Via Nangrong.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Dis.

  4. Hi just wondering if someone can help, does anyone know if Paddys Irish Bar in Buriram is open these days and if so what are the opening hours? I've read a few other older threads about the place but nothing has been posted recently (that I can find!) would love to pop in for a Guinness some time.

    Cheers Dis.

  5. Hi I'm just wandering if anyone knows of a company here in Pattaya that does a particularly high standard of printing work - I'm looking to get some business cards and leaflets printed up, ....the guys I used last time promised the world but I ended up with Liechtenstein...

  6. 17.00 Flannigans Jomtien

    18.30 Shenanigans

    20.00 Butchers Arms Soi Buakhow

    21.30 queen Vic Soi 6

Howard is absolutly correct - there is also a pull out in the most recent Pattaya Trader giving all the details, he is also visiting Bangkok and Koh Samui while here is here in Thailand.

  7. Thumchok

It was my first visit to them - and maybe I was just lucky! but i was considering using them as my regular garage, but if you've had a bad experience I'd like to hear more about it (if you've got time to post!) as this may influence my choice of garage later on. I don't wont anyone messing up my baby! cheers.

  8. Normally you only read about customer dissatisfaction on TV, and I’m here very happily trying to break the trend! I have just had my bike tuned, serviced and a few nicks and scratches blended out by Siam Racing Motorcycles in Pattaya. Riding home I had the largest stupidest grin spread all over my face, my bike has never sounded/ridden so good! I even just rode around for few hours last night just for the sheer pleasure of it, which I haven’t done for ages. The staff were helpful and in my humble opinion seemed to know exactly what they were doing. Fixing the bike took a few days longer than expected – but it was over Xmas period, and the fact that it was serviced so well the extra time didn’t really bother me too much. When it came to paying the bill I sat down with the owner and he took me through step by step what they’d done to the bike and how much it cost etc. All round a most satisfying experience! Hope this info is of some use to other bikers in the Pattaya area (or anyone who is passing through!)

If you want contact details they have a website www.siammotorcycles.com

    Happy biking! :o

  9. Hi does anyone know of a company in the Pattaya/Bangkok area that can produce really high quality light boxes (about 40cm by 30cm) for both internal and external advertising? All as I have seen so far are the ones with the black metal edging – while these look OK outside (much nicer when they are chromed!) they are not really suitable for inside businesses – restaurants and pubs etc. I would really like to get some made that are made from etched acrylic moulds for the internal ones but I haven’t found a company who can do this yet – any suggestions?

    Thanks.

PS Mods I have posted a copy of this in the business section too – if that’s OK?

  11. Does anyone know of a good cleaning company in the Pattaya area? It's not cleaning in the regular maid service type I'm after but more of a commercial level cleaning service.

For example before you move into a new property or office etc. that hasn't been cleaned properly in a long long time!

    Any help/advice would be great.

  12. Sounds good.

Out of intereset, I've always wondered what the 'plus plus' means on a set menu or buffet, can you shed any light please?

Tax and service charge isn't it? :o

As Jing says correct ++ means tax 7% and (normaly) service 10%. But if you see just one + that usualy means tax is included in the price and they'll add 10% for service, but I've only ever come across this single + in BKK resteraunts not yet here in PYX.
