What would they do here in Thailand without the availability of photocopiers. As an ex Military Administrator it pains me to see all the needless copying of passports, yellow books etc. Each person has a file, whether physical or computer based, and it should reflect that a passport is still valid until Year 20xx, once the master copy is in place, no further need for 90 day reports or annual extensions to be accompanied by copies which simply repeat already available information. Why does my bank need a copy of my passport, my signature on the copy, when all I need is a statement of account? Plus 200 baht!!
saves the office money on paper... blank sides of these pages are usually used at immigration offices for printing, copying etc.. my current 90 day slip has the details of some previous visitor on the reverse... tm47 appears to have a page of someone's accounts as well...

Thanks for the comments- has anyone actually done a ranong run recently, themselves?
-
I have a member of staff who has been working for another company and doing 90 day reports. Her current visa is due to expire but the paperwork for the new non-B visa run is not yet ready. She has only ever made one 'out and in' border run previously.
Has anyone made the run to Ranong recently for an 'out and in' visa exempt and were there any problems?
(I don't need advice about transferring work permits from one company to another- just the above question).
Thanks in advance

I'm not one to rag on thai English language news for bad grammar, but w-t-f does a moped have to do with anything in this story?

... it is utterly shameful to destroy art of any form, especially older pieces. Very sad to see.
it was an antique cannon- not a piece of art..
WIKI: "Art is a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities; this article focuses primarily on the visual arts, which includes the creation of images or objects in fields including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other visual media. Architecture is often included as one of the visual arts....."
it was a big old gun.. not a piece of art.. something designed to kill people.. yes-it may have had 'aesthetic design value' and/or 'historical significance' but NO-it was not art.. it was a big old gun!!

So the Red-Shirt leaders are still not upset, about the attempts by PTP to give a full-amnesty, to people who they claim ordered the murders of their comrades-in-arms three years ago ?
What very short memories, and conveniently forgetful ones too, these delightful people appear to have.
Why do the Red-masses still trust & follow them ?
maybe they just don't trust the other lot to do any better- after all they are attempting to overthrow the duly elected government with no plan of action for what will follow..

i was forced by my employer to open a KTB account about a year ago. i registered for an online account but it seems that every time i change the password from the basic one issued by the bank (which I am told by them i have to change) the new password will work one time and after that i have to go and register again. has anyone else had similar problems.
the branch staff (phuket, central shopping mall) have told me a variety of reasons: i can't log on on an i-phone (not true, you just watched me do it!), i am using the wrong password (how would they know?), i have the wrong type of online account (so why did you give me the wrong type of account and why doesn't the replacement one work either?) very frustrating but so is having to pay these incompetents to transfer my money to my existing SCB or Kbank accounts.
anybody know what the problem is??

I know of rather severe cases of teachers hitting their students.
Fear is ruling.
Are these isolated cases?
no!!

Don't you people get it?
The blurry shaky imaging wants to give you the impression it is all filmed by amateurs.
Give you the impression it is all reall life footage.
By watching this film you are all being prepared on watching similair footage on MS news as already is being done.
Shaky so called real footage will be the news of tommorow.
You are tricked into believing it because of the poor camera positions.
It must be real amateur becuase profs would hold the camera focused and still, please wake up you are being programmed!
When do you people ever wake up?
you mean it wasn't real??
