  1. Ok, so nobody included Ford sales (i've just been at Chonburi branch) know when the truck ordered would be delivered ..

I just wonder how can you place an order without knowing when you would actually get the car,

especially during this flood trouble which can add much more delays on the delivery.

By the way, the double cab 2.2 XLT can be seen at Sriracha Robinson until october 3rd, I'd like to see the wildtrack in real, if anyone know..

  2. It is possible to buy it before the motor show 1-12 december or we will have to wait until it ?

You can book any of the 3 models released so far at any dealer now.

I knew that, sorry if my question wasn't clear..

I mean, is there any chance to buy and own this car before the motorshow ?

By the way, I heard from somewhere that the motorshow will be on 1 - 12 th december, and someone working at chevrolet told me october 25-31 ??

I wonder if it worth to wait the motorshow to place an order on a car ?.. (special promotions, discounted price,..)

  3. Just came back from the Ford dealer in CM(the new one on Mae Jo Rd) and I was able to to see the new 2.2 T6 4dr...VERY IMPRESSIVE !!! ...AND BIG !!! They should have a Grand Opening tomorrow, but the one T6 (and THE ONLY ONE!!) was put on the display today after 5pm(I've guessed it right).

Now,because there is only ONE TO SHOW,there is no test drives. The truck is impressive, specially compering to the "old" one on the same floor. The interior looks great, all black, the seats modern and also black fabric(I don't want leather anymore).More models should arrive on 26th Oct.

    Prices for:

    Open cab 4x2 Hi-rider 2.2 XLT MT 699,000 Baht

    Double Cab 4x2 Hi-rider 2.2 XLT AT 799,000 Baht

    Double Cab 4x2 Hi-rider 2.2 L Wildtrak AT 869,000 Baht

I've put deposit on the 2.2 XLT AT...now,how long to wait ? I don't think the salsman new himself, because he said : "One month" !!...not possible I think,so maybe somebody else will get it right tomorrow...yes,I'm going back there!

On their website, they've changed the second double cab, it's now an open cap at 799 000 baht...

So there is only one 4 doors truck available ?

Sorry it has already discussed, but what the mean differences between XLT and Wild track ?

    thanks

  4. When I see the " How Much For Road Tax On A 2004 4 Door Truck?" usual question got dozen response,

I can't help myself thinking that mine should have deserved some more decent answers..

Well, thanks anyway to Mark, I thought some other Ford lover would have put their 2 cents

  5. Hi folks,

IO' ve seen a lot of review from you on older thread, and it helped me a lot,

    Thanks again.

Now, I'm still hesitating between the Mitsu Triton plus 4 door auto and the Ford ranger Wildtrak 4 doors also auto (both double cab)

The Ford is not the wildtrak expected to come out at the end of the year. but the previous wildtrak I guess.. I must admit I' haven't really understand.

Well, this one is 828,000 baht with a 0% finance, and the Mitsu 809,000 with 2.6%.

First of all, I couldn' t the total weight of the ford, even in the brochure, does anyone know ?

Any advices choosing over these 2 trucks ?

I know the trion comes with the new 2.5 engines 178 HP, maybe it could help, the salewoman also told that a new Triton will be released this month ? Sounds weird, but why not.

Is the ford expensive as the new model should be out by the end of this year ?

    Thnaks for your help,

  6. Hi, After several years working in a company in bkk, My boss offers me an health insurance for my family.

Can the company pay the premium directly to the insurance company ?

I ask this quite weird question 'cause my boss told me he has to give me the amount and then I pay the premium by myself.

Doing that, I will pay tax on it, because it will be took as an income.

Any advise to avoid paying tax on an expat health insurance ?

    Thanks

  10. Could somebody help me out with this matter ?

I took this year (january) an insurance life coupled along with health insurance with AIA,

my question will be on the life one, cause I would expect the health one to be crap.

So, let me know if the life is too :) .

Well, I struggle to understand the terms (in english) of this insurance, as I did it last year in a hurry, without really caring.

Here are the document, what would happen if, for instance, I decide to stop paying the premium, let's say, at the 9th year, and want my money back (at least a part of it) ?

    Any help much appreciated

PS, sorry for my poor english

  11. Yes, thanks a lot mates,

and yes, i m gonna work for an english program, as They dont really have the curriculum, I dont really know how to start.

Actually, i was looking for some easy tutorials with sample to follow, as the students have to make some project in each related software.

making a webiste using dreamweaver, ok, but how to teach it step by step avoiding chaos ?

    any advice would be welcome,

    sancho

  12. Hi folks,

I ve just got a teaching position at a gouvernment school (mattayom), as a computer teacher.

I ll teach microsoft office, making a simple website, and some basic stuffs.

Actually, I used to teach english, got a degree and TEFL, but I ve never taught computer before.

The head of the english department really wanted to hire me, but I ve been honest with her regarding my computer skills.

I guess I can handle a computer class, but since they have no curriculum (only in thai, and it s pretty poor) or courses syllabus, I m a bit confused...

Does anybody teach computer here ? do you have any advice where I can find some ressource, worksheet, lessons plan ?

    Thanks in advance,

  13. Sorry for putting the link on, but how can I ask advise in something without content ?

well, you re probably right JWT,

going through an interview being honest where is that degree from, should be the best way...

thanks all for your answers anyway, I was expecting it wouldn't be the greatest discovery of the year, though !

A total, complete waste of money. Better to flush the money down the toilet; less effort. Just a little push of the handle. Buying one of these requires filling out forms and sending money with a credit card. Too much effort. Toilet is better option.

On a more serious note; there are quite a few affordable universities here to get degrees from, or an online distance degree.

The universities here may not have the prestige of western degrees, but the degrees offered here are enough to get your @ss

covered for working here legally or transfer to a master's program in the west.

Could you please go further about this affordable universities ? I ve checked out the thread about "continuing study",

and was afraid of the 400K tuition fees of ABAC, and others Sasin, which , let's face it, are just piece of shit...

    thanks again !!

  14. hi folks,

Just wanna know if anybody has ever got a degree on the basis of life experience ?

I have checked this website, and it seems to be worth it as we can get a degree in any fields with quite low price and no class attendance, Having said that, I wonder if these degrees are recognized and accepted worldwide, though...

[No links or spamming, please - IJWT]

  15. As I said in another topic, i have been hired by a gouvernment school ifor about one year now in the south area, without any experience, and being a non native speaker , they might think as I 'm white and from Europe, I must speak english... Well, they gave me a chance to get experienced though, and I may have to thank them, since they pay me 30000 , give a 5000 baht more to my agent in bangkok, arranged all the administration stuff visas and WP (althought they didn't pay for that) and I only teach 15 periods / week. Even I know i could hardly hope for a "better" teaching job, as I remain a non native speaker...

  16. thanks for your quick answer peace,

yes, i have got some spanish blood from my father and my spanish is better than my english but quite useless in here...

Well, I intend to take tefl courses with TITC which offers several destinations over the world, and i chose Philippines (Cebu island), where I ve never been. It will be also the opportinity to travel abroad .

The course cost 1590$ including acommodation, does it sound like an average price ?

Are these courses very intensive, or i ll get some free time to take a look around ?

thanks again mates for your advices :o

  17. hi,

I m french currently teaching english in south area for about one year now. i really enjoy it, and I m planning to take a 4 weeks tefl courses, that i would attend in march or april.

I really want to improve my teaching skills, and learn news things from others, although i don t know what to expect from these courses.

Is tefl useful for non native speakers ? i mean, as a non native speaker, i know that i ll never get a job in a <good> school, well paid, .... but Can the tefl help me ?

thanks for any advice, and opinion that anyone can give me,

    regards,

    flo
