  2. Note to the OP:

    1. Do you have at least one bachelor's degree from an accredited university?

    2. Will you be better dressed than your avatar?

    no and no...

comeone guy's.. diden't ask for remarks of my education or the looks of my avatar.

i'm not planning on teaching in a university..

lessons in english on a easy level of education.. is an easy thing to do, i can print of the lesson plan online.. or ask some friends to copy their lesson plans..

so the student's will not have my wrong grammar or spelling mistakes.. they will get resenable lesson's.

and i know working without a workpermit is illegal.. but comeone.

    who are you kidding....

you all got ton's offs friends that do the same thing here or in their home country... you give them the same remarks.

  3. Moved to Teaching in Thailand Forum, where even teachers have to show some respect.

Who are you and why did you remove my response... I spoke the thuth and who deservers to retire here at 28 years of 28 yrs. of age and retire here at same age and at the same time collect a pay cheque and do nothing... like most of people in the same position!!!!!!!!!!

burkie if you had any helpfull info, you can always send it in a private message to my inbox...

  4. hi guy's..

i'm 28 living in thai for 2 years now..

i never worked here before, i get some money from over sea's.. that keeps me alive here :)

i just moved to bkk 3 months ago and i wanted to give teaching english a shot :D ( yes again a english teacher here haha)

i can't apply for a work permit here, because of some stuff i have going on in my home country... nothing illegal just not relevand for the site :D

if there is any information here available for this farang... like where to apply for the job.. should i go to the schools on my own, or are there agency's available to help me further..

    thnx guy's for any help

  5. want some nightlife.. but no pattaya anymore

and i like my peace but not quiet like rayong..

will have a look around thnx guy's

If you think Rayong is quiet... At least in Rayong you can get in your car or on your motorbike and 45 minutes later have some nightlife available.

I can only speak for Udon. Udon is a married/couples/family type of city, IMO. Oh, there is somewhat of a bar/nightlife scene here, but it is a sad, sad scene. And, I really don't think a 28 y.o. will find much in common with the majority of the ex-pats here.

But, don't take my word for it, come on up and check it out for yourself.

Perhaps, Vientiane, Laos might better suit you. As long as you are going to be up here...you might as well go across the border and check the city out.

It may be none of my business. But, I'm old and don't give a crap. How does a 28 year old manage to live in Thailand for an extended amount of time without working?

got into a motorbike accident a few years back, insurence pay every month.. it's not much but enough to live here

  6. hi guy's

i'm 28 and living in rayong and pattaya for about a year now.. and i'm planning to stay a while in the isaan region now.

i not yet been to the region and was wondering where i would feel at home best.

pattaya is becoming alittle to busy for me and rayong alittle to quiet.

    any info would be appreciated..

    thanks guy's

  7. Hello,

I want to move to Thailand and spend an extended period of time there (several months, years, ... not entirely sure yet).

Is it realistic to think this is possible when I am entering on a tourist visa?

I am sure I am not the only person in my position and I have been trying to piece the information together from different topics on this and other sites, but I have to admit I am still not entirely clear on what is possible, and what is not.

I am Belgian, 35 years old, have girlfriend in Thailand, not thinking about marriage yet, probably not in the first year. I will more than likely be living in Surin for the first few months.

Can I come to Thailand on a tourist visa, valid two months, and go on one of the 'visa runs' I see advertised everywhere? How long can I do this?

    Thank you.

    Arnaud.

    hello A.J.

yes you can... i'm belgium to 27 years and been doing it to.

not yet have allot of experions.. just here for 7 months and counting but it go's.

iff you go for a tourist visa in belgium, go to the consulate in antwerpen... i been there before and got a double entry visa ( good for 6 months in total)

hope it go's good for you... i know it go's good for me :o

    cheers mate

    best a luck

  8. hi all,

was talking to a real estate agent today who insured me.

that iff i put up a company with 51% thai shareholders,

i could buy land on company name and let my thai shareholders sign a legal document that states they have no say in my land or anything.

so what he was saying meant, i put up a company with 51% thai shareholders let them sign the legal papers.

and my company owns the land under my controle (my control only).

    is this possible or true?

and i know you heard it already tomany times, but here it comes again.

is investing in land in thailand to grow rubbertrees or anything a good and safe investment?

    p.s.

i'm not married here or anything if that should matter.

  9. You have not mentioned what kind of visa you have or plan to return with so we have no basis to answer you. As long as your visa is valid for entry into Thailand when you plan to use it there is no problem. Just make sure the visa you plan to use will still be valid.

it's a tourist visa with 2 entry's that needs to be used before 11/09/2008.

i'm now in thailand on the first entry and i need to do the border run before 11/09/2008.

iff i go to cambodia on 10/09/2008 and stay there for a week, can i then still use my second entry OR should i go cambodia a week before 11/09/2008 and come back to thailand on the 10/09/2008 in order to use my second entry?

thnx again i hope this clears it up.

  10. hi guy's,

i need to do a border run in about 2 months.

i'm planning to do that in cambodia, but here is the question.

i want to take a small vacation there and visit some tempels, can i take a airplane to cambodia from bkk and clear the border run in the airport of cambodia?

or do i need to go to the border of cambodia?

    many thanks

    grtz dennis

  11. just look at my double entry tourist visa.

that i uptained in belgium consulate.

    it's issued on: 11/06/2008.

    must be utilized before: 11/09/2008.

but i came into thailand on 16/06/2008.

so that mean i have to do my visa run before 11/09/2008 instead of 14/09/2008.

thank you eek and lopuri3 to get my attention up, because this is my first double entry and i made the stupid mistake on counting my 90 days after i came into the country instead of opening my eyes and reading the visa they issued me.

    krop khun krap

  12. hi guy's,

i'm looking for a school to learn "parachute jumping".

i live in rayong, so if you guy's know a school here in rayong or pattaya that would be fantastic.

alsowe if there are experts here i would like to get an idee of prices here in thailand for a parachute.

i know i have to jump first before i'm bying a "chute" but asking can't harm and some extra information on the matter will not kill me.

    thank you.

    dennis

  13. Dennis, what is the validity period of your double-entry tourist visa? I ask because according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs it can be either 90 days or 180 days. Apparently, Vientiane routinely gives a validity of only 90 days but other consulates may give 180 days. Perhaps it also depends on what period the applicant needs based on his travel itinerary.

    Maestro

mm this is new to me.

for what do i need to look on my visa then?

because i'm not sure i'm understanding what you are saying.

can you give me some more information for what i should look for, i don't want to get in troubles.

    thnx

    dennis

  14. hey guy's,

i'm just back from belgium, and i got a double entry tourist visa from thai consulate in belgium ( antwerpen ).

i know it's not vientanne or penang but maybe there are some readers here from belgium or people who take holyday's there.

they not asked me questions why i need 2 entry's, just had to pay 60 euro's and 2 photo's 2 days later i could get my passport back with a double tourist visa in it.

  15. don't think you need a visa because your out off thailand every other month.

just come in on your 30 days stamps,... your allowed 3 in a 6 month period, so that sute you fine.

waith with buying anything untill your married and do it then with your wife ( land on her name everything else on your name), once your married and you want a visa it's all much easyer to get it to because you make enough money to suport your wife and get marriage extencens on your O visa

and don't forget... have a hel_l off a good time here, like i think all off us.

  16. you have 60 days on your sigle entry visa and you can extend that with 30 days at an immigration office in thailand.

iff you got a visa you don't need a ticket out off the country.

iff you only want to stay 6 months you can do 3 border runs after your visa expire, but you can only do 3 in one year and i think you need a ticket out off the country when you do the border runs without a visa.

or you can go to laos to get a new tourist visa they are very easy to get there at the moment, but you can try an other country to.

iff i was you, i would get a new visa in laos. more easy and only have to go out off the country one time and it's a very nice place there to.

  17. Why hasn't any agent advertised services for trips to Vientiane for 2x Tourist VISA ?

I've read some of the threads where some of you guys were able to travel alone to Vientiane and get the papers sorted out. It's great, but I don't think I've the confidence to travel alone since it's going to be my first trip.

I'd love to know if there is any agent doing it, just like the way it's being done for Ban Laem border run, where everything is being taken care of. Jack Golf has indicated in its website that it no longer offers Vientiane. It's strange that such a popular route and important trip of VISA runners there is no single advertisement.

i had to do my first visa run in june normaly, but i have to fly back home to belgium soon so i will get my new visa there.

i wanted to use jack golf to for my first trip, and i just look at the site and there still doing it i think.

    here is the link.
