Two shots of AZ. Why is this not on the list?

86 and been here since retirement, 23 years ago. The immigration requrements bother me more each year - particularly the 90 day reportinb. I calculate in the 23 years I have submitted 90 such reports with never a change of address. Isn't it about time this was taken into account?

Either of those options ( a mia noi or a new wife) can be hazardous to your health.

I have an appointment for my 2nd jab in a few weeks. I got a paper from the hospital when I had my 1st jab, and the appointment is also shown in the Mor Phrom app. The 2nd jab was scheduled for 12 weeks after the 1st one and they seem to stick to that.
I got my first AZ on July 1 and had an appointment for September 20, but a couple of weeks ago I got an SMS from Phuket Win saying the date had been changed to September 5! We will see what happens next Sundaay

The ones who want a serious relationship are not interested in "butterflies". You sound like the worst kind of sexual predator. If you wanted a steady girl they are not difficult to find, but that seems to be the last thing you want.

Exactly. I got my 1st July 31; 2nd scheduled for Oct 22. Lots can happen between then and now.
I got my first on July 1 and second was to be given on September 20. Then I received an SMS from Phuket Win to say date changed to September 5 - just 9 days away. We'll see what happens then

Thanks Joe I read through that:
The sticking point for me is 'evidence of address' : The list says:
Please provide one of the following: • visa or resident permit (or colour photocopy) • tax record eg a letter from a tax authority • educational record eg school report • employment record eg official letter from your employer • letter sent to you from a central, regional or local government department • medical/health card • voter’s card • immigration documents.
I'm on the so called 'wife visa'. I don't have any of the above documents. Any idea what I can do?
(I notice it says 'visa or resident permit'- the only official proof of that are the stamps in my passport.)
The sticking point is you or your wife should have competed a TM 30 and you would then have a proof of address in your passport. Do it now.

I am unable to travel to Bangkok to renew my passport. Are there any alternatives?

My son (Thai) registered me on the Phuket government website, I got an appointment thismorning so qam off to see the process in action. Apparently, if you can produce all the right documants Thais and farang are equal.

As long as Bangkok is the only location offering vaccination all the expats living elsewhere will feel discriminated against - and will be correct.

This continues to be the sign up website for foreigners over 60 - but as you note it has not had any vaccine available (not open for reservations) for several weeks - just a notice to keep trying - with luck you may hit it at the right time and get registered before the year 2525 (Gregorian calendar).
All the sites available for vaccinations (whether they have vaccine is another matter) are in Bangkok, so not a lot of use to the rest of us.

I have not found any website actively accepting registration. The only reference I found was a notice in Bangkok Phuket hospital saying "Not accepting registrations" which is not much help. I would love to get my name on a register If I could see somewhere to do it
'I am 86, so it will be a tossup whether the virus or the vaccine gets me first

Hi Bill,
Have you registered your wife with your pension company and obtained a certificate from them [letter format] stating she is entitled?
I did this a few years ago while sorting out my affairs and am quite comfortable with it. I have made sure my family in England have a copy and will help my wife when the need arises. The certificate of 'dependent adult entitlement' can make things much easier.
I have prepared an 'Emergency Pack' for use at my demise and would share the contents with you if you pm me.
I would be grateful for the informaion, as I am in a similar situation.

I prefer bottles, but the disparity in weight means I can't carry many bottles, so modt of the time it's cans

Panic? Me?
Not in the least, I've had my first Az jab on Saturday, but even before that I wasn't overly worried.
I don't do crowds so the busy places are off limits even in normal times, pubs and restaurants shut, working from home mostly, venture out to makro every couple of weeks (Madam goes to one of the food delivery trucks most days). My chances of catching the bug are minimal.
How and where did you get your jab? Certainly no appointments available in Phuket, neither government nor private.

Canada recommends mRNA after AZ or J&J jabs.
Sinovac reportedly has fewer side effects than most - it is a traditional vaccine, not mRNA or anything of that sort. If it were available I would go for it but as a farang - who knows when.
