  1. Yes, I think wind energy is a good thing. But may be not so much for Thailand as this part of the globe does not generate too much wind.

What we think is wind is in fact thermic which blows twice a day. Morning from see to land and evening reverse.

Everyone experiences the "no or low wind nights". This is because the sun does not heat the surface of the earth in the night.

This "wind" is not compareable with wind of areas which are geographically on the half way between aequator and northpole like England e.g. The driving force there is the coriolisforce due to the geographical different position compared to countries along the aequator.

I believe the power number mentioned is more related to the wind turbine maximal power rather than the real power available in this area.

Nevertheless I think even a bit green energy is better than nothing, right?

Thailand is very sure good for bioenergy as it is rich on organic matter.

  2. Exactly the same thing happened to me in our new house, when they installed the water heater and an additional air-conditioning unit (both on the same circuit).

Got the sparkies in and when they pronounced it fixed. I said "Okay, go ahead then, have a shower." Which was greeted with smiles and laughter, then they realised I was serious....

They did a few more checks and its been fine ever since!

  3. Don,t know if the above works. Why?

I collected a lot of coordinates of places I wanted to find again in Thailand with my hand held GPS. Long before the newly GPS System started in Thailand like it did in other countries.

In the end I found out that the coordinates I found did not match with the ones in google. So I did not find my house, land, lovely beach etc. again. In fact they appeared miles away. Some of them even in the sea.

Please check yourself if the same happen to your data?

The GPS providers also clearly state that they will change the coordinates in case of emergencies like war and other things.

But may be these equipments work beter today or they have an automatic updating to avoid the above?

  4. Difficult to say but you could have anything from a over night mosquito spray in your room to bad air from the aircon or an allergie from a food additive. Depends on what kind of chilli you eat etc.

I would go to the doctor to make sure it's not too serious. Did you have anything like fever, running nose or red eyes (Allergie?) etc?

  5. Actually there is a adidas shop in the central world which makes adidas running shoes of any size.

The pair costs around 6500 Baht.

The service is really good and they measure your feets in downpressure and size.

A computer sents the data to a manufacturer in China and in four weeks time you get your handmade runners.

As you already got yours it's just for the next time!!
