Hi, I am trying to cover some drill holes etc and have found the Arylic filler I can buy here very poor, it sags and takes an age to dry properly for drilling or painting,
I would love some good old Polfilla but cant source anything similar.
I would appreciate any advice you chaps can give me.
Steve.

Sounds like you use Kanchanaburi Immigration, because this is an accurate description of how they treat people.
I moved from Kanchanaburi for that reason. Trying to extend my marriage visa there was a nightmare. 2 years ago I was accused by the female IO if presenting forged British Embassy documents! This was in front of a packed office of fellow ex Pats. I just walked.

When you select the reason for the transfer, be sure to select "funds for long term stay in Thailand"
I have been selecting the General Living Expenses option. It still comes through as a Foreign transfer. Should I select the Long Term stay option Instead? Thanks.

We promise no double-pricing at tourist attractions, as long as you have your Thai drivers licence, yellow house book for your property, and form TM69 (notification of an alien entitled to generous discounts from the beneficent Thai government) properly certified by your local Immigration office.
Plus 300 baht each.

When the land-borders are open again without any draconian entry/re-entry measures to deal with, a border run just before 18 November will provide you once again with a 90-day permission to stay. Problem solved.
Possibly wishful thinking, not firm advice.

Bullcrap. 90% of the Farmers in my village have had nothing. However returnees from Pattaya, Phuket etc have been given the 5,000 baht per monthe for 3 months. Figure that out.

Yeah, think I'll make the trip into my local Immigration office next week and see if they can shed some light on the announcement.
I agree, the article makes no mention about what happens to Non O visas after the amnesty ends it would be sensible to allow us to extend another 90 days without crossing the borders, which is impossible right now. I would happily pay extra for that.

Your visas expiration date means nothing when you are already in the country. It is only the last day you can use it to enter the country and get a 90 day entry.
Your permit to stay in the country that ended in April is the only thing that matters now.
If the amnesty is not extended you can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife on or before the 31st.
But What if I went to the immigration in April and was offered/sold a 60 day extension without being informed that I could have only one?

I already did a 60 day extension before the amnesty .
Exactly. I have a non O multi Marriage valid to the 15th of October. Yet I cannot service that visa and get my last 90 days as I cannot cross a border. Immigration says wait and see. They haven't got a clue.
The Visa agents must think its Christmas! Or perhaps that the idea.

Maybe look into setting up a Transferwise borderless bank account. This can be done, even if resident in Thailand and not UK. I opened such an account a couple of years back using my Thai address (UK passport).
This would then give you a UK bank sort code / account number. You can then request your UK pension provider to transfer your pension into this account. Then you would be able to easily arrange transfers direct into your Bangkok Bank account in Thailand.
This link might help.
https://transferwise.com/gb/multi-currency-account/#/get-paid
Thanks for that, However this is the Transfer company I use I wasnt sure if I was allowed to mention the companies name on here. and my pension provider will only deal with Western Union,

Hi, am not sure this is the correct forum to use for advice, But here goes. I am retired living in Surin and receiving a Police pension whch has been paid into my Nationwide Building Society account. The bank stopped their customers from using International ATMs several years ago, so I began using a well known transfer company, which has been great. My bank in their wisdom have changed their internet log in details meaning that I can no longer gain access to, or transfer my monthly pension. A dire situation indeed especially at this time of crisis. My pension provider says that I can have my money paid into the Bangkok bank by Western Union, with no fee from my pension company but a 1% fee at the bank.
So I would like to know if anyone has any experience of doing something similar and could offer some advice. i realise it could be pricey but the options are limited to say the least.
I will be very grateful for any help
many Thanks
Steve Grace

I disagree with "their own ignorance" they are not very well informed nor have they ever been, but the end result will be the same.
I have the dubious honour of having a clear view of my villages Mom and Pop shop from my living room window. The virus has changed nothing. Just like every other day it is brim full at 7am with the local drunks, farm workers etc, all sharing cigarettes and bottles of Thai whisky. Using only 1 shot glass. After 2 hours of yelling spitting and the occasional vomit they are totally pisssed drunk and wander off. All this while mothers and numerous children fight their way into the shop to buy food etc.
What could possibly go wrong? (oh yes most of the village bar girs are back too).

I think the majority of people that will need the extension are here as tourists.
Not many people are on a non immigrant visa entry.
My American friend and I are both on Non Imm multi entry O visas from Laos. we went to Chong Chom
border crossing to try to do our 90 day in and out. The border was effectively closed. We then attended Kap Choeng Immigration office with Marriage docs passport and all copies and the office was being run outdoors with seating for the applicants. Much better than their stuffy office. Anyhow we were given a 60 day extension and no hassle, Nobody could say what will happen in 60 days but at least we got some breathing space.
We did learn that Surin Immigration office is moving closer to Surin in 2 months time into a newly built government office, which is currently being used to quarantine returnees from South Korea.

I was concerned about the border being closed and not being able to do my 90 day out/in next month so contacted Siam Legal who told me i can get a 60 day extension from my local Imm office if needed .
A friend and I, both on non O 12 month multi entry visas based on marriage are due to cross into Cambodia at Cong Chom on the 31st of March. we were informed that my friend a US citizen may not be allowed to enter Cambodia while I a UK citizen may not be able to re-enter Thailand. We called Kap Chong Immigration and were told we cound extend for 60 days at their office we, are unsure about what will happen after that extension. I hope we speak to the same IO too.

Makro in Surin is still jam packed with Cambodians swarming accross the border, So are the Hospitals Dentists clinics, Big C and Lotus. But only foreigners spread the virus.
Bank statement - marriage visa extension
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Surin Immigration wanted a year statement from my bank dated the day of the application. BKK band said It would take 7 days as they had to order in from Bangkok, With that and the fact that Kap Choeng is 95 kilometres from my address I went to an agent. I have since learned that those naughty IO,s in Surin are offering retirement visas for 20,000 baht.
