1. The guy looks like he is Maori/part Maori. (the indigineous people of New Zealand). They are thick people. Maoris would tattoo their bodies and faces...even the women. They are thick-bodied people. It is ignorant to say he is using steriods. For a Maori, that is a noraml body size. If he is using steroids...he is using counterfeit/bogus or cut steroids because he is small for a steroid user...especially with his bone structure! Look at how thick and wide his face and nose is. I have a friend who is a Maori/Anglo Caucasian mix bodybuilder and mountain biker. He is a super nice guy and is very thick like this guy. I have many Anglo Caucasian and Mestizo friends who have never used anabolic steroids or HGH and are far more muscular than this guy. I used to be a natural bodybuilder and some people would accuse me of using steroids. You get what you work for. I put in the gym time, good diet, plenty of sleep, visualization and I got good results. I used to squat 520 lbs freeweight (non-machine) for 3 strict reps...as much as some of the power lifters did...I am a medium-sized guy. So, dont assume people are roiders just because they are bigger than the average guy. Also, I did it for heath and fitness not vanity like some are accusing this guy of. Also for the poster who mentioned martial arts (ninja...) as being bad, etc...you know nothing about fighting arts and are just jealous. I have trained many fighting styles for half my life. I am a mellow, nice guy and hardly anyone knows that I am a good fighter at many styles. So, do not prejudge something until you have tried it yourself.

Why use a knife? Maybe the other guy had a bunch of friends with him. Maybe the guy was drunk. Maybe he has mental probelms. He seems to be vain based on his Facebook page photos with all the Thai women he is 'hanging' with, etc.. If one uses a knife on someone in non-self defense, one should do the jail time! jap.gif

  2. Personally I think that NGO's and Christian missionaries want to be rescued by sex workers. Look around and wherever you see the soft sector boys one women they lead a comfortable life off the back of sex workers. They eat in fancy restaurants they drive good cars and live in big houses were the work is done by rescued "girls". For those who are not convinced, there is a great documentary out there called children of a white god or simply have a look at the list of fake orphanages and rescue centers at: http://www.akha.org/...ons/index.html. Be careful though, the rescue Mafia is quite powerful, they protect hundreds of millions of dollars on income in donations and cheap labor.

There are numerous rescue centers in which they lock up minors without the knowledges of the courts or their parents, all in the name of the greater good.

Correction >> The documentary is entitled 'Prisoners Of A White God'.

    http://en.wikipedia...._of_a_White_God

I agree with you concerning the subject. I highly recommend that all who read this look at the wiki link and watch the movie! Many of the missionary groups, anti-traffiking groups, etc. in SE Asia are predators themselves. It is an easy way to earn money and live in a beautiful tropical country on the financial donations from donors who don't have a clue concerning the real facts 'on the ground' in the given location.

Almost all the woman I have met who are prostitutes in Thailand are happy, funny, enjoy life, earn a very good income, and all are in the profession by their own choosing, etc.. Anti-traffiking group employees, etc. have to exaggerate, lie, etc. in order to create 'a problem' so that people will donate to their charity, org., etc., and thus, they can have an easy job and pull in a good income from the donations. With that being said, I do support those who do legit work by trying to stop the real Human traffiking.

PS...'Prisoners Of A White God' can be viewed on YouTube.

  3. or maybe Thai women like sex more!

...with 60 year old drunk smelly ill behaving tourists?

    You are joking, right?!

I don't know what area(s) you hang out at but I see many many falangs (Anglo Caucasians) and other foreigners who are in the 20 and 30 and 40 year old range. Every time I am in the Pattaya, Phuket, and BKK party areas ('red light areas') I see many many young guys from many countries, of many races, etc.. It looks like a Spring Break party or Mardi Gras party in the USA... with many 20-40 y.o. guys partying with the bar ladies. Maybe you hang out at a bar(s)where there are a lot of older, smelly, and badly behaving guys. Maybe you should change your location. jap.gif

  4. When I first came to Thailand, I dated a girl - as you do. We had lots of weird conversations that didn't make any sense. I would go along with them and nod and smile. I remember she said that in Bkk there were too many trees. I was thinking to myself "there are not enough trees". Anywho, I said "what's wrong with too many trees?' to which she replied "they use up too much oxygen, and they steal our air". I was confused. I just smiled, nodded and said "God dam_n them trees"

I'm no expert on mother nature, but I was always taught to respect it. I was always taught that mother nature is bigger than me. I should recycle, not waste, etc. I may be a completely insignificant bug in mother nature's plans, but everyone can make a small difference (good or bad).

We're all guests on this planet called Earth. If mother nature decides it, we can be forced to leave.

So why did you not tell her that she was incorrect and that trees 'breath in' carbon dioxide that is breathed out by Humans and then the trees transpire oxygen which is then breathed in by Humans? Trees produce oxygen. :jap:

  5. Thais are the worst for personal hygiene I've known anywhere in the world. I think Mr. Cochrane might be referring to the fact that people here take showers reguarly. However, washing hands after going to the toilet or washing hands before preparing food is hardly done. Thais also don't clean surfaces properly before preparing food and use the same knife to cut a raw piece of meat then a cooked piece causing cross contamination. Vegetables are also never usually washed on street stalls and hardly cooked long enough to kill all bacteria especially raw ones served with some noodles or roast pork. Countless times I've found earth on lettuce or tomatoes. Really, Thais know nothing about hygiene and nor do they seem to understand the concept of it but rather take offence when you point it out to them.

Obviously, you have not spent much time in very many countries. The Philippines, Mexico, all of Central America excluding Costa Rica, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Burma, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, and much of China are worse when it come to personal hygiene. All of Africa is worse. I could go on.

I wish the Thai people the best outcome during this flooding situation. Flooding like this will probably be a common occurrence in the near future due to global climatic changes.

  6. If the money is used to combat 'real' sex trafficking, that is great. Keep in mind that Human trafficking includes people who willingly travel illegally to another country for non-sex work. Technically, if a Thai picks up a Cambodian citizen hitch hiker who is in Thailand illegally and gives the Cambodian a ride to another city, etc., the Thai citizen instantly becomes a Human traffficker. People trafficked in the sex trade in Thailand are usually found in the more remote areas of the country and their clients are usually Thais. Those of you who are stating that there are many prostitutes held against their will, etc. in Pattaya, Bangkok, etc. are greatly misinformed and incorrect. I even know of free-lancers who are college students who come to 'the tourist areas' in BKK, Pattaya, etc. to earn extra money on the weekend. They come from as far as Lop Buri, etc.. Their parents do not know what they are doing. Two expats I know who teach English at university also know of such behavior. One can learn much from the people, including sex workers by be-friending them... and not having sex with them. I have seen many women in bars and on the street in tourist areas turn down guys who want to take them. Almost all the women have a choice to be there and who they want to go with or not go with.
BTW, there are two NGO's that state that there are ~300,000 under-aged trafficked prostitutes annually in the USA (the majority are US citizens). Occasionally, I read of prostitute rings in large US cities like LA that are raided and where there are dozens of women kept as sex slaves. All I read about involve women from Latin America being kept as sex slaves by other Latin Americans. Whether you want to believe the figure of 300,000 or not is up to you. All the people who are in the US illegally are technically 'victims' of Human trafficking. That means there are probably 20 million + people in the US who were trafficked. The US government and most NGO's do not refer to the people who are in the US illegally working (non-sex workers) as being trafficked but the US government and most NGO's include non-sex workers in the figures when they are referring to other countries. This makes the figures 'referring to sex-workers' look larger in non-US countries. This is pure hypocrisy.
Anyway, I am against all forms of forced labor, slavery etc. There needs to be worldwide standardization and a well defined definition by all countries when referring to 'Human trafficking' figures. And do not believe the all the media and all NGOs. Many disseminate inaccurate information, half truths, hype, inflated figures based on a mathmatical model or formula which is not suited to the purpose and does accurately reflect true numbers, etc. for selling and fundraising.

  7. Headquartered in Singapore, ONE Fighting Championship™ is Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization. ONE Fighting Championship hosts the most prestigious mixed martial arts event in Asia and is the only Asian MMA organization with a pan-Asian media broadcast.

Is it bigger than DREAM FC, which regularly packed 30,000 people into Saitama Super Arena, prior to the quake? Is it bigger than DEEP? Shooto Pro? Pancrase? Art of War MMA out of China?

Does it have international tournaments? Does it send its champions to fight in the UFC and Strikeforce?

    I didn't think so...

You forgot Pride Fighting Championship which sometimes packed 60,000 people into a stadium per event in Japan...amoung many other events around the world. Oh...how I miss Pride and Pancrase! Pride FC was much better than UFC is now.

  8. the flipping of one's gender seems to be epidemic in Thailand unlike any other country I have ever heard of.

It is the same in the Philippines (PI). There are LBs everywhere in PI! There are many in Indonesia also. I assume there are fewer LBs in the other neighboring countries (Cambodia, Vietnam, China, etc.) because descrimination against them is rife and can even lead to the beatings and murder of LBs. There are many 'closet' LBs in the other more descriminating countries who are afraid to come out.

  9. "Time for a good ole' fashion hangin' boys..." said the sheriff as he tilted his hat back, wiping his face in the hot Nevada desert sun. Perched on their horses next to the only tree for miles, the posse, looking at the accused on his horse with his hands tied behind his back, were all thinking the same thing...We need to get rid of this scum once and for all.

That's the way, bring as much of America with you when you move to Thailand or is it Cambodia.

I hear a bitter tone...I hate drug dealers bud...Will be living in Cambodia and starting a boat building bizz...Traveling to Thailand alot also...

You must hate all the alcohol companies, tobacco companies, and prescription drug companies also , if you truely hate all drug dealers. I feel sorry for my Cambodian friends. People with low intellect give US citizens a 'bad name' in LOS, Cambodia, etc. . Pradel Serey/Kun Khmer/Bokator/ Lethwei/ Muay Chaiya for life...Bud.

  10. Thailand is the largest economy in the region, that is not fighting corruption, on any significant level. Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, and China are serious enough about this problem, to be trying, and jailing important men, who violate their societies, by whoring themselves out to the highest bidder.

    Your statements are very incorrect!

You have much to learn, much to learn.

  11. I wonder what the reception of some tourists will be to the offer of ciccumcision for the males? As an NGO, perhaps this chap is getting a discount from the NGO group providing the service in his area? I don't see some of the Europeans getting too excited over that prospect. whistling.gif Mind you the Australian professor that's running his clinical trial has been snipping at a furious pace, so maybe he can sneak the boys in.

Will men be allowed the option of a temporary marriage with a couple new girls for the sake of compliance with the rules pertaining to sex outside of marriage? And of the women, do they get a burqa and a discount coupon at the shack that rips out the clitoris and labia? I don't think they will have an easy time observing halal where they are going. It's pork for breakfast, lunch and dinner. bah.gif

I want to be an Aztec for a month.

What Australian professor are you refering to and where is this trial? The Aussie circumfetishist Brian Morris?

  12. Next, can we see some oversight by FDA for MSG and items using MSG? Though it's only toxic for a small % of the population, it's toxic nevertheless.

MSG is a "natural" product made from seaweed so calling it "toxic" is a bit extreme. Some people may be allergic to it but that doesn't make it "toxic."

MSG sellers argue that MSG is exactly like the glutamate in the human body, therefore it must always be "good". It is not so simple. There are contaminants in processed MSG.

An anology that can be used is that there are right-handed amino acids and left handed ones. They are like mirror images of each other. Processed MSG contains not only the kind of amino acids the body is used to handling, but mirror image ones too. This may cause problems because it is like putting the wrong glove on your hand. It's not quite the same. We don't exactly know what problems this may cause. On the other hand (so to speak) the fact that glutamate the body is used to handling is also in MSG may present a problem because an excess of naturally occurring glutamate is well known by neuroscientists to be a problem in many disease states. Natural glutamate can cause problems we already know about.

I agree. I see you know some chemisty. Yes...chemical chirality (right and left-handed / 'mirror images'). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chirality_(chemistry)

I believe the Thalidomide disaster / birth defects were due to the molecules having the opposite chirality than they should have and this is what caused the terrible birth defects.

MSG is made using a process that changes the molecular structure of the base ingredients. I would never knowingly eat it. Sad that the food can not even be trusted in Thailand but I already knew that. I do not eat junk food but am concerned about the synthetic chemicals used in agricuture, etc.. I just watched a scarry Al Jazeera report on the chemical compounds used in shrimp farming in Thailand, etc.. Many of the farmers are not trained in chemical, antibiotic, etc. application rates and apply far too much of the chemicals...thinking 'more is better'. The US has refused many shipments of shrimp from Thailand due to contamination levels beyond those allowed.

  13. Can we expect a crackdown on Thais having Nazi images tattooed...?

    Yes, nice one.

I have thought about this for many years.

Many people find Nazi style regalia and tattoos as offensive and even intimidating in some cases, however much they try to claim that it`s all done in naivety and innocence.

Funny, isn't it, how these sorts of matters become offensive when the boots on the other foot. Or should I say; when the Jackboots on the other foot.

I think all tattoos are disgusting anyway. I mean, just look at those brazen hussies pictured below. Would any of you stoop so low as to spend a night with one of them?

Concerning swastika tattoos. Some foreigners do not know that the swastika has been a symbol of 'good luck', etc. throughout Asia for thousands of years. The Nazi party adopted the symbol because of the misbelief it was an Aryan 'only' (from Iran to India) symbol and it would bring the Nazi party good luck and power. It is not the fault of Asians if the Nazi party stole their symbol and used it. If foreigners are ignorant of the history of the swastika in Asia, that is their problem and not the given Asian's problem. If foreigners don't like it...tough luck ...they can leave and go back home. Thais or Asians should not have to change their culture in order to not offend a farang! And I am aware of the more Nazi-style swastikas and colors seen in Asia. But still, if someone doesn't like the tattoos, etc...then they should leave.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

  14. So the tour guide had the gun in order to 'defend tourists'! Is that normal practice for tour guides I wonder? As for the deceased being yakuza, I'd love to know how that conclusion was arrived at, perhaps he wrote it on his arrival/departure card under occupation. :whistling:

Go back and read the article...and also look at the yakuza tattoos on the dead man's body. Only Yakuza have tats like that. Yakuza.

  15. So men like to wet their dicks? Is this news, a story 100,000 years old. Perhaps if some of these overweight grump wives lost a few kilos, put on some make up and smiled occasionally, they would not be cheated on? Give me a break, is this the biggest problem Thailand has? No.

They should not wear the 'gawd awful' make up! Most Thais have a nice darker complection and no make up is needed. I dislike it when Thai women wear make up. It is nasty sh8t.

  16. I knew that the Thai politicians are stupid but that they are so stupid I never imagined........

I always imagined they were this stupid. Their ignorance and stupidity is on display every day in this backward country. First, to all the Thia numb nuts in Parliament, if you are really concerned about the retirement amount, just raise it for men who marry Thai nationals you idiots! It's a pitence to us anyway! The fact is, it just bugs the heck out of you that your women prefer farang of any age over your little shrink-wrapped package! You want to remain free to treat your women like crap and have them do all the work you are all to lazy or stupid (likely both) to do so you have time to play with little boys and ladyboys in your local brothels, drink your days away and gamble away what little baht you do have from whatever scam you were running . As far as the little fatherless bastards that might be created by an old farang who keels over before it's grown, I suspect the geezer will have provided for the wife and child much better than any Thai man is capable of doing. Also here is a heads up for you brain dead little MP droids, just because you all believe 400,000 or 800,000 is alot of money, to most farang of retirement age it is absolutely nothing, and I seriously doubt any farang ever married a Thai girl of any age with this thought in mind. So I guess it will still be perfectly ok for these impotent little lilliputions to cheat on their wives with these young girls or marry them themselves and abuse them. Thailand is a country on the decline in a big way and this will be another huge step towards its demise. Other than your women, you have little else to offer us and you will learn this lesson the hard way.

best frothing rant of the thread...

I believe AZBill is angry that he has had the most sensitive and pleasure-producing portion ('shrink wrap' as he calls it) of his wang amputated. Maybe he is jealous of the ~85% of men on Earth who have whole wangs. April fool and everday fool... some people are.

  17. If you haven't been to Cambodia yet.

Have you all seen the movie called "Same Same but Different" made by a German guy. ?

The movie reflects many aspects of their lifestyles.

You will get the idea of how they live, behave and think in Phompehn.

One will not ever know much about Cambodia and its people unless one has lived there for a long period and has traveled and stayed in many different areas of the country. There are some groups in the northeast who still live in small traditional villages in the forest who still hunt with spears... like some of the Native Americans in the Amazon rainforest. There is great variation in all aspects of Cambodian society throughout the country. One can read about and study Cambodia via media for years and watch all the movies one can, but until one has traveled widely and stayed there for long periods, one will have 'no clue' about the whole of the country and its people. OK...maybe a very small clue...much less than 1% of understanding ot Cambodia and its society. Many of the movies, of the style you mention, are biased and one-sided and have a very narrow point of view...much like many of the movies, 'homemade-style movies, and documentaries of Thailand. Unless you have lived in Cambodia for a long time, you will have "no clue'. Also, the majority of the negative stories shown on TV and put out by NGO's are drastically over-hyped and sensationalized in order to attract viewers (TV news) and money (NGOs).

  18. Is it April the 1st?

This is ageist, sexist and absurd. Any Cambodian lass would be very lucky indeed to be with any foreigner who earns over $2,550 per month (they did say month?). What is the average ANNUAL wage for a Cambodian male?? Not too far off the monthly salary insisted upon by these stupid authorities.

Has anyone there actually worked out that maybe, just maybe, most of these poor defenceless women are happy to be with a foreigner and do so willingly and of their own free will. Unless these is coercion then this is nonsense.

By the way I am near 60 so... according to the log heads in Cambodia... way, way over the hill for these babes. But then, they would be lucky to have me. Ah yes...maybe we are better off.

In Siem Reap, which is suppossed to have over two million tourist visitors per year, I was told by one of my Cambodian friends that police officers and teachers were earning about US $30.00 per month (US $360. per year). I heard that the pay was higher in the capital (PP). I heard it was US $30.00-45.00 per month for police officers and teachers. The pay has probably not increased lately. Tourism has drastically decreased over the past two years, and thus, there is much less money in the local economies there. Most Cambodian citizens earn less than US$1.00 per day.
