  1. They were selling Phantom motorbikes in Carrefour in Pattaya recently. They were actually in stock at a shop around the corner that had about 15 new ones on display. I bought a Tornado but wish I'd bought the Phantom instead. Will exchange in the next couple of weeks in the same shop.

  2. Stories always get a bit exaggerated- the guy wasn't chief of police but was a high ranking policeman. There is one abosolute F4ckwit drinks in that bar who has come close to a hiding or two and after 3 or 4 beers is the know all of Thailand. The bloke is an absolute spanner, first time I saw his annoying customers with his stories he came near to a slap of a couple of lads who were originally minding their own business. His stories put Jackanory to shame. I think most know who he is- even a couple of lads in Surin have heard stories about him he is such a bell-end.

As for the baseball bat thing- to be honest I had a bar in a busy part of Bangkok for a while and is a necessity trust me although we never ever used it thankfully. I know many a bar owner who has but can't comment on the above as have no idea. Always two sides to stories.

  3. 'As I have said so many times before, there are so many Falangs that think opening a bar is so easy. But, when they come to count their takings for the first week, if they have not made 100,000 baht then they get disgruntled. After the first month, if they are not millionairs by then they start getting slacker and slacker, handing over most of the Farang duties to the Thai members of staff, and that is where the spiral downward really begins.'

Can't really speak for others but as an ex bar owner I hardly got a night's sleep in 3 years which is why I eventually sold up to have a break but came away very happy as a result and way up in pocket. The place has been run into the ground since by a Yank who would rather be drinking elsewhere so see your point. Isn't easy and you have to put up with some individuals you wouldn't normally give the time of day to. The Farang- know alls about Thailand who when it comes down to it know sod all- one in particular in Burairam I would have basically told to go somewhere else if my shout as they end up losing you customers and for some reason believe you want to actually listen to their garbage. . .

  4. Worst possible result for Hull- Phil Brown has to get something at his old club now.

Whichever of Toon or Hull that wins a game now stays up.

Boro may get 4-6 points, its possble and for Us and Hull to lose both games, anything is possible ... role on Saturday.

I think you have to be realistic and look at the fact that Boro winning two games on the bounce is very highly unlikely. Goal difference may well yet prove vital and will keep Newcatle up now I reckon. IF Hull get a result at Bolton then Sundeland must be looking nervously over their shoulders now. Think toon will be ok although Fulham in excellent for but the better GD as good as a point

  5. Jebus boys- shocker on the horses last night but a decent winner at Leopardstown kind of saved the day.

Had Chelsea 3-1 at Arsenal 18-1..................ticker or what?

Anyway today is a doozie. Neither team can score...............local derby has 1-1 all over it!!!!!!!!!

Possibly the hardest game to bet on this year. Toon have won 6 games all season- even the Baggies have won more at home alone ( No film jokes :-) )

Have to go with Boro not losing on Paddy Power but a fascinating game and the local thing makes it interesring all round.

My bet................................1-1 . If I was to pick a winner- boro but feel free to take the pi55 after- from those who didn't dare predict :-)

  6. No idea who Brian is.........can you get anything right?

  8. 'I'm looking forward to seeing him in Gullivers Soi 5 when Liverpool are in BKK cos i'm intrigued to see how his body Language will be then & see if he fancies asking me if i " have a life '

Ooh you're so hard you keyboard warrior. I already know the answer so why bother asking? You're a muppet end of and would have no problem telling you :) Seems everyone on here does as well reading by the lack of respect you have on so MANY posts :D

What's designer gear for you- a fake Armani turban :-)

Give it up while your behind old man. You really are making a bigger chump out of yourself with every post :D:D:D:D:D:D:P

Strange that you and your 'friend' appear at the same time - seems I was right. Whatever rocks your boat. Don't think Gullivers your scene- come out of the closet eh :-)

  9. Absolutely S, Barmby got into them holes at the Brit a couple of seasons ago eventually resulting in his equaliser- Pulis got that spot on.

We were so in control it was a cruise at times. Liam had his best game in a long time but the standard of the opposition helped- Etherington got so much space it was frightening.

Just noticed despite our awful away form we have only picked up 1 point less than City away. 10 out of our 42 points looks a little bit healthier.

11th place to aim for now- am pretty sure the last time we came as high as 11th was under Alan Durban about 81 or 82. We started off with a 5-1 defeat at Norwich then 5-0 at Forest but picked up well mainly due to a young striker called Lee Chapman. Would be nice to equal that plus a mate from Bangkok owes me 500 UK if we come 14th or higher :-)

Have both Liam and Fuller in my fantasy team so a good return, Gerrard also :-)

I think that was the most humble I've seen Phil Brown. From talking of Europe than saying relegation was not an issue to last night on BBC, saying that they desperately need to win at Bolton. I bet Boro and Newcastle are rubbing their hands although credit to West Brom for having a go but with Liverpool next week I think it's too late. I do gfancy Boro tomorrow although their lack of goals might let them down.

  10. I criticised Liam for his dive v West Ham last week but Di Michele put it to shame. Absoltely ridiculous effort to con the ref :)

Taken him a long time but Lawrence looks back to his best.

Incredible double save by Kiely to look out for if you catch their highlights.

I remember the doom and gloom when we were in Pattaya first game wondering where our points would come from- what a fantastic effort we've put in this season since. Can't help but be proud when you see some of these overpaid individuals waiting to jump ship if their team go down. Despite Newcastle's fortunate point and the draw v Pompey (fair result) , we've seen off all the teams around us in recent weeks.

  11. More comfortable than the scoreline suggested and a nervous ending but was in little doubt we'd win after about half an hour. Great strike from Liam- came close v Fulham with similar. Be nice to finish with a home win next week in the last game at the Brit this season.

    Great stuff.

  12. We'll let's hope that the mighty Stoke can do something useful and beat Hull tonight.

Although as we appear to be the team that you dislike the most, you'll probably be happy to lie down and let Hull win. :)

I think when you see idiots like the guy above spouting rubbish then it's no wonder Newcastle aren't so popular. In the bottom 3 for a reason-don't hate them at all but all this Shearer Messiah nonsense is getting old hat.

Don't think we'll lose at Hull but can't see Newcastle beating Boro.

It doesn't matter if you get bigger crowds, who started what trouble at where etc. Sadly some fools can't see that.

  13. Let's be honest, they wouldn't be where they are under Big Sam. They basically hounded him out believing they were too good for mid table and now Sam having the last laugh I'm sure pulling out results at Blackburn.

Throwing money at big names doesn't guarantee anything. I'm not sure what Newcastle fan's expect. They haven't won a single trophy in my lifetime yet they expect so much!!! I really don't get it. With a huge wage bill, a job very few will relish and games against Swansea/ Perterboro etc they're hardly going to be in the best of shape should they go down. ............................'<deleted> off to the Hull board '...................ok. You <deleted> off to the CCC

    Must hurt

'You were probably a bit better then us but also extremely lucky at St James Pk, whilst Newcastle had all the play and many chances they should have taken v Pompey ....... but carry on with your delusion about getting out of jail.'

What a load of utter <deleted> but expect it from a deluded Newcastle fan.

  14. For sure J. What made the 1-1 at the Brit so frustrating is that they were by far the worst team to come to the Brit this season. Is plain to see that tactically Shearer hasn't got a clue and it's Dowie on the touchline pulling the strings, badly may I say.

The guy above sums them up- in trying to defend them this season he does what?? talk about their fantastic gates 15 years ago. Totally irrelevant now .

  15. I think Shearer deserves the Messiah tag and has worked a miracle- he's managed to make a poor side even worse, I didn't know it was possible.

Stoke and Pompey completely out-played them and let's be honest Newcastle got out of jail in both games.

All this, we'll win at Stoke and win our 3 home games that has been posted by dis-illusioned Geordies on websites since Shearer took over sums a good deal of their fans up. They're not this massive club that wins trophies, they're a desperately poor side in serious relegation trouble. Boro must really fancy their chances on Monday. They have better players and look like they may yet make a fist of things.

If Hull beat Stoke today I think it's pretty much curtains for the bottom 3 anyway although West Brom are doing a good job of catching Newcastle and may well yet.

The league table doesn't lie- If you win 1 game in 18 or whatever it is you can blame managers, owners everything but the fact remains- they're just not very good.

Shearer's 'management' style seem to be shouting at the ref to book opposition players and little else. Of the bottom 4 I hope Boro stay up- at least Southgate has dignity unlike the rest.

Take all your big club delusions of grandeur with you and shut the door as you leave the Prem please.

  16. I would say the 22 bar as well- Ray McLaughlin runs it- opposite the New Cowboy Bar on 22 just past the Queens Park Hotel. Good crowd in there. 022619911-call them if you want to double check.

Don't worry re being a Gers fan- very friendly atmosphere for the old firm games and a good mix.

There is a Celtic pub for those in Pattaya- Off Soi Bukhao. Is it Metro the area is known as?

  17. To be fair Kimusu, Real Madrid didn't sell out here- far from it. Were plenty of tickets available the day of the game and this was in the days of the Galacticos.

Tickets were expensive as far as locals were concerned which didn't help- Liverpool a very popular pull here but should get tickets no problem.

Good luck. Will more than likely go myself. Atmosphere at the Madrid game was excellent.

  18. Will fill you in on the shirt situation when I see you J. Should have some 1863 kits ready next week and will fetch a few down if they arrive- if not will be later in the month.

Where you planning on watching the Arse game? With every game kicking off at the same time might not be so easy

    Yep Villa was quality :)

  19. 'i'm far too smart for that, especially '

Now that is funny :) Funny you prattle in re having people 'sussed'. 'Interesting to see MS getting wound up,,' Enough said :-)

Anyway folks the fool obsessed with Stoke aside,- what about the new away kit?? At least we're getting rid of the horrible yellow. This is very smart, not crazy about the collar but this is quality

  20. Still here :) ??

'i've sussed you out already ' Really??? A bit like how you claimed I was waiting weeks before replying to you????

'Sometimes you just come out with so much tosh it's un-be-fekkin-leivable :D '

Seems you were sussed out long ago and have similar respect from others.

As for your 'points' I'll be honest I haven't even bothered reading them if you must know.
