Just a quick one for you wilco.
Do you think it’s smart to let your credit card go out of your eyesight in Thailand?
Yes or No.
Please tell as I’m a bit naïve.
-
I don’t know, its to big to get on the scales.
but im sure yours will fit.
-
?Shouldn't this be in the Joke RoomWas wandering when you would turn up
-
most farang here deserve all they get either for what they do or who they have chosen,.
No they don't
-
I never give my credit card to anyone in Thiland.
ATM,s only.
Never had a card copied or money gone missing in ten years.
so i must be real stupid. yes.
what a stupid post you made.
-
I have always ordered them through Door-to-Door, another first class service

Not cheap.

I think many of us fall in lust in Thailand.
Love may or may not come along latter.
Have a nice day

All getting a bit off topic.
but agreed guys.

Is religion normal behavior ?

After years of riding motor bikes 50cc to 750cc in the Uk.
I won’t ride them in Thailand,
due to the very basic fact that Thai drivers are incompetent and dam right dangerous.
I use a car and they can bounce of it all day long.
Its not the size of the bike it’s the size of the brain that’s not used
Have a nice day.

Japanese women certainly don't find us inferior!
-
I'd have thought most of them were too old to race. They seem to spend most of their time propping up the local bar not getting fit to race
-
take your credit card!
Never in Thailand, Thank you.

I certainly don't know anything about the koran but I am curious if Mohammad told them they had to broadcast their praying over loud speakers and make sure everyone within four square kilometers could hear it. It must have been a VERY advanced society to have had amplified sound systems that long ago.
Doesn't have to be a sound system - but we have one busybody in our office who comes around knocking on every door, whether the guys inside be muslim, Hindu, Christion or whatever - five minutes before every prayer time (three fall during working hours in the winter) just to tell us it's prayer time.
In the permanent Aramco offices - fully wired - the prayer call comes over every computer, whether you want it or not. I now have no sound system on my computer, nor any other in my office.
I have had many years to get used to it, but believe me - it is getting more obtrusive every year. It is no good closing your eyes and ears, there is far more strength and purpose coming out of the Middle East than before. These people know that they are meant to dominate the world, and are about to take their place above all others.
Then they will need to prepare for a big disappointment

Hey Billaaa777, Thought some time back you liked the place as you were trying to sell some units there. Property developers you guys are so fickle.
True or not?
Have a nice day.
Wow, what a memory you have, that was over a year ago, you must have my name written on your wall.
I buy where I can make money, great buildings, good buildings, average buildings and dumps. I picked up two units next to the pool for 880, which was about 320 below market value at the time. When I was there measuring for renovations some guy walked in and offered to buy them, I was so glad I did not have to go there every day for two months to renovate them. I sold them in 17 days at a little below what I perceived as market value at the time.
There has been quite a bit of renovation in the building over the past few years which has helped the building. They recently painted the outside of the building. I think the pool area has great potential, sitting in the middle of the building with all the balconies looking down on it. The pool area is just dirty though, nothing some bleach and pressure washer could not fix quickly. In fact if they pressured washed the outside area of the entire complex it would help a lot.
But, the hallways are still terrible and need to be re-tiled and painted, which is expensive and the building does not have the funds to do it. It is a dump; sorry if you live there, maybe it will get better in the future. If I lived there I would buy a pressure cleaner and donate to the building and teach the maintenance department how to use it, to be honest with you.
So you told the new owner this before he bought it from you?
and yes i do keep your name on the wall with a few other not so true people.
Have a nice day.

Don’t go there, view this from a distance.
If it explodes at ground level who knows what will happen.
Thailand is not known for it's safety standards.
view it from your favorite bar.
Have a nice night.

Majestic is a dump as is Sombat. I am not aware of Panya Resort.

what do the Thais really think of us ?
ATM's
Check out ATM on the internet (uk sites)
-
If we break the Thais down into low, middle and high class, and the Farangs into rich, normal and "farang kee nok" class, and from all these different angles/permuntations, what do the Thais really think of us ?
Or if that is too complex, what do they think of us ? What are the stereotypes and whats behind the smiles ?
The well educated ones are very jealous of what we have.
Money. They just can’t stand it, it eats them up.
If some old, fat, bald, ugly Farang has a load of cash,
it does them in. they think you don’t deserve it, even if you have worked twice
As hard and twice as long as they ever will.
Take the money issue out of the equation and the Thais are lovely people

Well after all, his reaction might have been human after a bad day and a couple of drinks too much...but....it can not be tolerated at all.
Take it easy. Religion is Religion and it is a very personal right to believe in anything you like. For myself, certainly I would not like stay close to a mosque, but even at home, Sunday morning's church bells drove me crazy from time to time...
That is what I really like about Buddhism....there is no preference of religion, you are free to believe in whatever you want, but you should tolerate another's religions.
Its a shame people cant keep it Personal, be a lot less war and aggro around the world.
The guy should not have gone about it like that. but he dose have a point.
Noise pollution in a residential area is not funny.
You lot have turned this into a religious thing, it's not its a Noise pollution issue.
Dont think you lot would all have the same view if it was next to you.
