  1. I have had a will in place for many yrs now.  the question is about taxes and whatever monies the various govt agencies are going to take.

for example: just transferring condo to gf name land office tax will probably be some where around 5%. ( condo9-10MB) If it goes through probate or court (whatever it is callled here) does that tax still come into efffect?

    or on the other hand

does she have to pay court X% and then again to land office same 5%. meaning paying twice?

somebody here have to know someone who has died and left condo car etc to gf/wife?????????????

    thanks

  2. hi all,

Is is better to transfer these things before passing, or is it better to wait for the will to take place. Court probate etc. what ever is in place in this country.

Just worried if there is big tax break one way or another. Yes i am farong and all in thailand goes to the thai gf.

    thanks

Looked into this for the wife. Super sight in Pattaya is basically cataract/lens replacement surgery. In the end went with Rutnin Eye Hospital in Bangkok who recommended Lasik. Initially she had some haloing and dry eyes but this is reducing. Just had her 3 month post op checkup and everything looks good and she is very pleased with the results (no more glasses required).

    what was the cost?

  4. the avenue has lots of discounts, they just arent posted in english. But if you ask i am sure that they will tell you. for example they used to give a discount for 12call. maybe still do not sure. another one was half off (for everyone in the group) with movie ticket stub

  5. I gave my thai gf 100k 5 yrs ago to complete a deal for 5 rai of rice farm in non hon, village 15 min outside of chumpai in khon khen.  this was a 200k deal for the 5 rai. I was just paying the last half as they were getting a little pressure to finalize. I could afford to lose the money if it went south, but on the upper hand i told her that the land had to be transfered to her name.  It took a little time, 6 months or so, but finally got a shinot in her name. how do i know it is her name, you might ask, as most of us dont read thai??  well she has used this to get visas for most of the world. as well as having money in the bank 100k.  no job no income other than me and no sponsers in any countries, only asking for tourist visas.  canada 2.5 yrs first attempt, usa 2 yrs first attempt. 3 shengzen visas for the amount of time requested. england 30 days, we only were staying for 4 days, australia, new zealand. could keep going but you get the idea.

oh sorry forgot, she did say that the land deal was a family to family special deal. wheather or not that means anything.

    just my 2 cents

dont know if any of this helps but just relating experiences

  6. if the SEALS had that much trouble getting past the narrow opening to the final push to pattaya beach and the 400+m to actually get to them, i doubt that they will be able to get any significant pump to that area.  therefor maybe a quick scuba lesson and a line tying them to a SEAL.

the gf says a doc has already been sent in.  he/she is also part of the SEALS. If they got this far I am pretty hopeful that they can finish the deal.

GREAT on the rescuers and the boys and their coach

    You need to more specific.

There is nothing wrong with domestic ones per se. Some of them are Haas or Haas like and some of them are the watery low fat non-Haas like ones.

It's a mainstream POV which I share that the watery low fat ones (non-Haas like) are significantly inferior in flavor (thus they are pretty much always CHEAPER).

I haven't seen any domestic cados of either kind for sale for months now but I don't shop at Makro.
