  1. I am looking for resistant bands for circuit training exercise at home, are something similar to these or this particular brand, Xertube Resistance Band with Door Attachment, available here Bangkok and where? I've tried one Tesco Lotus and one Big C and there wasn't this type just the metal spring ones for sit-ups. I've attached a photo.

  2. I have a new colleague of mine that has a 2 year old daughter and she needing a nanny for her two year old starting August 1st from 6am to 4:30pm. Would anyone have some leads on this? It would be at the this woman's apartment in the Bangna area.

    Thanks!

  3. How do you do this: "Have you checked your language and country settings?

    Switch them to English".

Have tried this on my computer and still having trouble so don't know if I am doing it in the correct area.

Well, don't know it works for Vista but here's the answer for XP

Open Control Panel ---->Regional and Language options

    post-327-1239975226_thumb.jpg

Very helpful, thank you BUT now I've run into an error message that is asking for the XP CD (The message says this "Please insert the Compact Disc labeled 'Windows XP Professional CD-ROM' into your CD-ROM drive {E:}") so to be able to change the "Regional and Language Options" but see when we got the computer we had IT CITY download XP on there (hence I think where the problem originated), they have the CD they used to download onto our computer and since we don't have the CD and Thai computer guys put it on that would explain the problem.....so if we got an XP CD (bootleg of course) we could reinstall and put in our language preferences.

Do you all think that would solve the problem?

you mention something which we are not supposed to discuss about in this forum...

The best advise I can give you is take your PC and go to your dealer and have it "fixed" for you.

Oops sorry folks, I didn't mean to do that, thanks for the advice :o

  5. "Bernzomatic" is a brand name. The gas in the cylinder is MAPP and, for soldering copper pipe, I prefer it to regular propane.

Yes exactly, where in Bangkok would I be able to get a MAPP gas tank? Yes it is a cleaner gas as well.

    Cheers!

  6. I realized that I misspelled a word in my title of my post for gas tanks, how do I get this changed and put under the correct heading? The reason I ask is I am looking for MAPP also known as RazorGas and my heading says MAP, you see how the confusion could start.

    Thanks!

  7. so what if I used guages (please peeps get a grip)

Well if you use gauge sizes, nobody in Thailand will know <deleted> you are asking for....as suggested before.... China town....but you had better convert your gauge sizes to metric sizes (do you know how to do the conversion or what the metric system is...???...As a hint....its NOT a conspiracy against the US to prevent US products being sold on the international market... :o

Gosh such hostility and all I was asking about was metal, interesting how ethno-centric the critics are here, btw here's a mirror. Yes I know about the metric element, I was cutting & pasting information in a rush yesterday from a catalog, didn't realize it was unacceptable to post from an American based company/catalog.....once again....I go back to my original question- copper metal not debating politics here or cultures that feel inferior on here all I need is COPPER metal and I need more specifics then "Chinatown," a bit big here in BKK as I'm sure you know.

Must say these responses from you and your "cronies" are quite revealing and quite amusing....dumb a#%es will be as dumb a#%es are......*sigh*. Go spend some "quality" time with your Thai girlfriend, she needs you! *wink*

Anyone out there with viable and reliable ideas about getting copper metal in BKK (specifics would be nice) would be much appreciated.

And I'm sure I will get another idiotic response as well, nature of the beast I guess with some of the guys that come to this country *BIG sigh*.

Well I am sure calling people idiots is going to get you a lot a favourable responses.. :D ...

I can get you plenty of 99% annealed copper, 70/30 brasses, CuNi and many other copper based alloys in all profiles and shapes...how many tons of each to do you want

Sorry but I didn't start the unnecessary responses to my thread :D

NOW thank you for an apt response to my original question!!! I do appreciate this ;-)

These are for jewelry design projects. Let me figure out in metrics *wink* how much I need and I will get back to you, I'm thinking the 99% annealed copper would be best. These jewelry pieces are going to be created by using rivets or "cold connections" via the copper wire, cuff bracelets made out of the copper as well.

    Thanks!

If someone knows and can give me a serious lead on where to get copper metal sheets and wire in Bangkok, so what if I used guages (please peeps get a grip), let me know. Thanks!

    Cheers!

  10. Where can one get MAPP gas as known as bernzomatic gas as well as RazorGas here in Bangkok. I also need a torch head.

I've tried Homeworks and another hardware store and "no have." I've attached two images of what I am talking about. Thanks!

  11. I am wanting to get a hold of four types of copper or brass metal for a jewelry design project. I will attach images as well.

    1) I need Copper Wire, 20 gauge and 18 gauge.

    2) Copper or brass tubes/rods (4 gauge).

    3) 30 gauge soft copper sheet (craft copper, cut with scissors)

    4) 18 gauge copper sheet (or plate it is called someitmes)

I've looked at B2S and have found nothing, I know in the States you could get these items at an craft store especially Hobby Lobby.

If anyone knows where I could get such things in Bangkok that would be great!

  12. I am on long term prescriptions that require here in Bangkok that if I need to get them refilled I have to go to the Doc. such as Sumitijvi or Bumrungrad. I never had to do this in the States, the doc just called the pharmacy and I was able to obtain them.

I was told by my counselor that I could go to a pharmacy in Na Na to get these items without having to pay the doctor fee I always pay just to get them when I go to the hospital. These are meds were given to me due to a diagnosis of depression with panic disorder. I at least got that diagnosis from a doctor here at Sumitijvi.

I am of course a bit nervous about this notion of going to Na Na and getting these items over the counter because many times drugs like these are used for inappropriate purposes and actually my situation is legit.

Where would I go to get anti-anxiety drugs like xanax in Na Na over the counter?

    Thanks!

  13. Curious to know what it would take to start up an exporting company, SMALL scale, exporting Thai silks, Thai fabric in general. I have a degree in textile design thus know LOTS about the fabric side, have used thai-silk exclusively when working on my own fabric designing, and I know of a few places that would love to have these fabrics. My husband and I are throwing around this idea, starting a busines that exports the silk.

Links as well as resources that would help in our research would be great! We are presently living in Bangkok, I am a teacher here.

    Cheers,
