  1. Too many people (farang) die in Thailand for supposed suicide.

About time the authorities did something abount serious investigation.

I have been to Thailand 8 times in the last 6 years and can honestly say the police are useless.

No way are all these people suiciding just does not happen anywhere else in the world.

Just Thailand with their corrupt cops for murder and turn a blind eye.

Other parts of asia are also corrupt but not like Thailand

  2. You forgot London City and Luton- If London can support LHR/STN/LCY/LGW/LTN business is business more is better in my opinion

There's also Saaaafend and Biggin Hill which also handles London flights.

No major city in the world can operate on one airport, impossible. The idea of Don Muang should be to house the likes of Air Asia, Nok Air etc. similar to Stansted in London.

    It's not rocket surgery..!!!

    :P

Melbourne Australia operates with one airport internationaly and has no problems. (Tullamarine)

We have Essendon airport for small aircraft and freight aircraft

Avalon also operates some jetstar flights within Australia but not many

  3. Reading some of my young Thai niece's schoolbooks it's no wonder they end up which such a twisted xenophobic view of reality. Taught (indoctrinated) from a very young age how special the Thai people are compared to everyone else. :(

Such a pity that such a beautiful country has such a high % of simpleminded fools populating it.

Have not read the entire thread yet and I am sure others have agreed to your post.

I agree 100% about the simple minded fools and I have been to Thailand 8 times. 6 in the last 3 years.

  4. Do you consider yourself more intelligent than most Thai people ?

I have a degree and postgraduate qualification from very good universities. I'm also off the IQ scale (if you believe in IQ testing).

I consider myself more intelligent than most everyone!

No need to be racist about it thought.

Do you think that you are genetically better equipped for life than Thai people?

To survive in a civilised world, I would again claim supremacy (over everyone).

But when/if the end of the world strikes, I'm pretty sure that most Thais will have a better chance of surviving than most westerners (including me)

If your IQ is so off the scale I would have thought that you would know the word THOUGH does not end with a T.

Are you supreme to everyone else. I doubt it

  5. One thing I notice on this site is the constant whinging from expats living in Thailand about the government & police. You are lucky enough to live in Thailand but instead of being grateful for this opportunity, you bitch & moan. No one is asking you to live there so if you do not like it, return to your home country & then Thai policy will not affect you.

You are a guest in Thailand so quit your complaining. Your opinions on Thai policy have no importance whatsoever & the govt does not need to take your thoughts into consideration as you are not a citizen. I see no difference between whinging expats in thailand and immigrants in australia that whinge & expect australia to change it's ways to suit them.

When you ask to come & live in a country you should accept it the way it is as you asked to live there & it is not your birth right.

Be grateful and if you do not like the way your new country is run, leave. You won't be missed.

    Could not agree more.

Very good comment, Dont't like it piss off

  6. so much for love conquering all

Not long 'til Loy Kratong ...

It would be a long time if you are wanting to get into some girls knickers still if you have never been to Thailand "which it seems you haven't" I guess you could always do the 'chok wow thing' :D:)

    Patience is a virtue,

Possess it if you can ...

    Wanking is a action

Your patience and state of mind seems to prove it as you don't stop doing it!!!!!!

  7. Reminiscent of the seven days of danger back in western new year when all the drunken motorcyclists without party hats got pulled over for free coffees in a roadside tent, but at least it seems that they're doing their best to get the hang of western authoritarianism within the context of Theravada culture...

Your quotes on this thread and every other thread you have commented on make you sound like a very sick person indeed

  8. Yeah and they'd have kept all the homemade Ferrang porn if there was any. Even so Thais getting nabbed with a camera showing ferrang having sex who they can't claim to know is quite incriminating so probably better to delete it. Unless they're really stupid and say "of course we know them, we pinched their camera!"

Not everyone has a mind like yours.

I go to Thailand twice a year with my wife and every second time with my 2 daughters and have never had sex or filmed ourselves doing this ever.

What makes you think these or other people only go to Thailand for sex.

It happens to be a lovely country that people like to visit for their own reasons.

You sound like a dirt bag

  9. Almost everyone has their personal "tragedy" to relate following their visit to Thailand for two weeks - the taxi driver overcharged me by 50 baht, my bar bill was wrong to the tune of 95 baht, a local looked at me threateningly and I was very scared. And then there's the other group who got involved in physical violence, it was 2:0am in a bar me lud and for no reason at all this man started to punch me, or, I'd had a "few" beers and somebody said this and then that happened and before I knew it I was bleeding and crying! The final group is that who have heard things, stuff, from trusted friends, about their experiences - you won't believe what she did or you'll never guess what happened next!

What can be said other than people need to get real about all of this. Thailand is not the UK, Phuket is not the same as Swindon or Leeds, people behave differently, they have different attitudes and motivators and it's, well, different, if folks are not prepared to adapt to that sort of change it's probably best they stay home. I don't know why I never have a problem with the locals, I'm tall but not big and I'm older - locals speak to me and I speak back or ignore them and I've managed to get through my seven years in Thailand without a scratch or a major drama - I suspect it has something to do with attitude but who knows.

I agree with some aspects of your comment.

I have been to Phuket 3 times in 4 years and thailand 4 times in 4 years and will be back with my wife and two daughters in two weeks to Phuket.

Have only had a problem in Patpong Bangkok with tuk tuk driver hasseling my daughters and told him to f_uck off.

Tuk tuk prices in Patong are B_ull S-hit tho and need to be addressed

    DB

your daughter was lucky not to get heard they are not afraid of hitting women or girls although with words like that you must be very proud of her!!!

I am very proud of both my daughters and my wife.

The tuk tuk driver tried to take a small amount of money from eldest daughter twice and then grabbed hold of my youngest daughter while my wife and I where not paying attention with our backs to them tryig to work out where a particular market stall was that we had seen and wanted to return to.

Only for my wife grabbing my arm I was flying at him to punch his lights out but realised he had backed up to about twelve of his fellows tuk tuk mates and decided not a good idea with 13 and 9 year old girls to do this as they where screaming no dad don't get hurt.

Two Huge American guy's asked me if they could fix him up and I said no not worth the hassle and got out of there straight away.

  11. I don't condone all the military campaigns the US has fought and won, but the nonsense above begs clarification. For starters, the US has won every war it's engaged in, except the Vietnam war. The current wars aren't resolved yet, so the jury is still out on them.

There have been several historical conflicts where the US, though assisted to some degree by other countries, took on the lion's share of responsibilities and by doing so, suffered the major portion of deaths and injuries.

The Pacific theater in WWII comes to mind. On-the-field supporters were relatively few in number and were either defeated at the outset (the British) or stayed close to their homeland (the Aussies).

As for other notable wars won by Uncle Sam with little or no outside assistance, there were the two times within a 35 year span that the British were forced to retreat from North America's eastern sea board with their tails between their legs.

With all due respect the Australians have fought alongside the Americans and in every war ampitheatre across the world.

We fought in France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Iran, Irak, and Afghanistan. Is that close to home. No, I bet you are american and talking up your country with typical Amercican bull <deleted>. When our special forces give up on Americas wars that Americans create people like you and the wars your country create will be screaming for help from countries like Australia. America the land of big mouth and bull <deleted> politics.

  12. making life easier for foreigners here and not thinking we are all dam stupid, it is us that keep this country afloat and provide the services that they need aon a professinal level, teaches to teach their kids better english so they can get a better education and provide more for their family...

getting rid of the rediculous 150 baht fee that gets added onto any atm transaction on top of ur own banks fee and the currency conversion fees.....

Stupid is as stupid does. (or posts, in this case) :)

Indeed where would Thailand be without people like you to teach them proper English... :D:D:D

Get a grip! And whether you're a tourist or an expat, there's certainly nothing forcing you to stay in Thailand.

Sure the country has serious issues. If things get worse I may well decide to pack up and leave. But what country doesn't have problems these days???

If you can't appreciate the positives you are always welcome to leave. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. :D

Yep, BigBike, It makes you wonder why they left their native countries to begin with, and speaking as an ex pat I don't think there is much about Thailand that bothers me. I certainly don't expect Thailand to change their culture, politics and business to suit my tastes. Live with it or leave....

Now as far as tourist go? I avoid them like them plague, and if Thais want to figure out a way to attract a larger number of drunken Brit, Aussie, German, and American sex tourists in sleeveless tee shirts, and rip them off. Well, more power to the Thais!

Does it matter what people wear as in singlets ( your words sleeveless tshirts) why rip people off.

Less people will recommend the country to visit and refer people to other countries. I went to Malaysia 2 weeks ago and is half the price of Thailand for most things except food. But food is still good value in comparison to Australia particullarly seafood.

You might be expat but think about tourist dollar and it going elsewhere to other countries. It might cost you in the end when we don't come. Expats like you I would avoid like the plague also just like you would mr the tourist. ( Idiot)

  13. Not sure why this panicking about less tourists. When I arrived over a week ago, the airport was heaving with arrivals and even longer than usual queues at immigration (partly because of the heat camera screening they were doing). When my gf tried to book a hotel for some friends who arrived last week she found out all was fully booked. Can't really be all that bad apparently.

If they want to see what a collapsed tourism industry looks like they should visit Zimbabwe.

Heat screening machines causing delay. What a load of bull_shit. Was thru Phuket airport twice last week and no delay as you walk straight thru them. In fact no delay anywhere by comparison to return to Australia. As for hotels they are almost almost empty, The streets also quiet even Bangla compared to 2 years ago. Prices are 1/2 as much again from 2007. The Thais will never learn

  14. The majority of the people on the Earth do not even know where the country of Thailand is! :o I am from the USA and I can tell you that the majority of the population in the USA cannot even locate Thailand on a map.

and the majority of those could not even locate the United States on a map of the world unless they were asked to point out Estados Unidos.

I just hope all you red shirt polarized scum of ThaiVisa are really happy at what your boys and your bum chum Thakisn have achieved today.

Now it's even yellow versus red, you've both f**ked up paradise, you've both shat in your own nest, you're both a set of brain dead morons. Don't believe me? Go look in the mirror. Darwinian deselection in process, fortunately you don't have the wherewithall to reproduce.

Here here. Both are f_ckwits both yellow and red. How to spoil a great holiday spot and great country with their bul-lshit. Government needs to get off their a-rse and do somthing about this

  15. My condolences to all. But for all their drunkenness, none of this would've happened.

Its believed they had been drinking.........according to reports. Drinking what? We KNOW they were drunk do we??

True but COME ON! How many fights have you seen in the streets of Thailand where someone is under the influence and how many sober? Were they at temple? And when reports say "drinking", in this context it is understood to mean alcohol(including the cop), not lemonade. My speculations are based on the general consensus of available information being reported and human nature. I don't know the facts but I guarantee you that if alcohol wasn't involved, there would be no story to report. Anyone agree/disagree?

Stuff alcohol someone has been killed by an idiot that should not be a cop or carry a gun.

I drink alcohol and have not got angry enough to do anything like this cop so don't judge people by having a drink.

    This copper is sick.

I have been to Thailand three times and am going again in March 2008. You can have a good time without this shit.
