The Irish visit is an easy one ferry to Belfast them just drive down to Dublin or whatever my Mrs and me often go to Dublin for a week we once flew over and at imagration the guy was very nice said we should have applied for a visa first them just took her picture and stamped a visa in her passport for 1 week very nice and helpful southern Ireland immigration

Quality visitors do not overstay any ware for 5 years and as for the insignificant 20000 baht fines should be raised to 1000000 baht that might be a deterrent to the reprobate over stayers and keep the small trivial fines 20000 for not wearing seatbelts or not wearing a certified crash helmet while riding a motorbike.

A drug user with a driving licence used for carrying members of the public as for being a thief he should have his car impounded and crushed or sold at auction and money given to disabled people caused by road accidents and taking drugs while driving his licence revoked for an indefinite period but then again this is Thailand so its ok no one cares not even the Junta generals who are trying to make the roads safer in Thailand [ joke ] back to work next day at usual job no problem new meter and new stash of krathom leaves in the glove box and a double shift in half the time with his whigh speed meter.

There are no drawbacks living in Thailand its our choice if any of the drawbacks affected us we would move else ware to live the only bad point I think for me living in Thailand is the language as my Thai is not very good even after 16 years.

I got my multi entry O visa a few months ago found it a bit of a skutter this time application is in London only, and payment cash or Postal Orders.

I have been living off and on in Thailand now for 16 years and a few of my local friends drinking buddies who have been here for many years have left Thailand permanently mainly because ether could not make a decent living in general office jobs or teaching work, I also have about 6 business friends who I meet up with for lunch occasionally when everyone is in town most of them have lived and owned factories in Thailand but most have now moved their factories and business operations to China so most of them have also moved to live in China nearer their businesses, and one has taken his business from Thailand base to a Singapore base now, so I wold feel in my circle of friends more are leaving for sure.

And sorry forgot the word democracy and freedom for the citizens of Thailand oh no thats not an important issue its how much more money the military can get for necessary and urgent requirements such as old redundant Chinese aircraft carriers and submarines, more generals and higher pensions for retired military personnel. So this is how the Junta soldier boys act when it is not a crackdown, imagine how bad they would be with a mandate to crackdown issued by themselves, and this is the shower who are running Thailand now no wonder USA and Europe wants nothing to do with them especially as they appear to be above the law of the country, and can change the law to suit themselves.

Time for Thailand’s Junta soldier government to step into the 21^st century and get their air and fishing regulations up to international standards and to world quality or they will be left behind as usual always the donkeys arse never the leader at the head trot on Thailand.
