Doxizosin is the local made drug and works very well for me, I was proscribed 4mg by the doctor but now only use 2mg. Cost for a sheet of 10 pills is 7baht, you can buy a box which is around 130 baht (cannot remember the exact price. Tamsulosin is imported and is a lot more expensive and not easy to get outside larger citys.

That’s very useful information….another poster said they use Doxizosin as well…..

    130 baht for a box of 30..

Compared with the generic Tamsuloscin (UROFLOW)……which cost me about 700 baht …

    Thanks for the help.

I just checked with Khun Jum at Peera Pharmacy and she carries Dutasteride (Avodart) and Tamsulosin (Harnal OCS).

Duodart is certainly available here. I live in Pattaya and it was out of stock for a few months last year. Fascino normally stocks it and I was using Bangkok Drugstore ,on line, when it was not available here. Many of the Pharmacies on Rama IV at its junction with Suriwongse also stock it. Prices range from 1400 to 1800-much cheaper than the hos[ital price.

    Hope that helps.

    That’s great …I appreciate it…

    Any idea of general price…?

3m filtrete go up to 270cm in length (Lazada). These are the ones I use and have done for years.  No idea which is best but the prices can double this time of year.

Thanks…yes 300 baht now or so…. But I can’t make out the actual length of the roll by looking at the Lazada ad….

onr time they sent me just 4 individual precut squares instead of a roll…..cheating….

  4. Hello all,

Wonder if anyone with personal experience in this can tell me what they did …. or give advice.

I have a lifetime Thai partner who’s a good bit younger than me.

    I’m in the early 70’s.

They work but the money is not going to be anywhere near enough for their old age or retirement.

I don’t want particularly to just give cash.

    I’m thinking of a long term …safe….investment .

Something that I might be able to add to over the remaining years and something they can access in 20 or so years…?

    Any thoughts ?

To the OP.  It’s is to my understanding from what a doctor told me once.  The flu vaccines are created for the regions they are administered in.
I suggest you contact the provider that administered your vaccine to be sure if it covers the specific region you are inquiring about. This way you can be sure you are adequately protected.

    Thanks  for that….

On the basis that cremations seem to be organised by the family of the deceased it's probably going to be very difficult to find a funeral service that perform such duties.

Consider finding a trusted friend who will help, and give them authority to carry out your wishes. You may need a lawyer to make it legal.

There are some Christian churches that have cemeteries. If that is an option for you.

    Thank you for your help….

As Silkair folded during covid, I flew SCOOT from Singapore to C Mai return during August for dental treatment (cheaper). I wanted to check my return flight & went to CM airport assuming there would be an office there for SCOOT/Singapore Airlines - there is NOT ! After checking on the net, I found that the only way to contact them was to call their office in Singapore, which I did. Very disappointed with Singapore Airlines - how can you fly direct into a country but not have an office/presence there ? Their Business Class service from Brisbane was horrible too. At 100k baht, I expect more than 2 lousy half-glasses of warm beer in 7 hours in J Class. At least I could buy beer on the SCOOT flight - $9 SGD a small can and it was cold. I assume all airlines are being cheapskates now after covid, even in Bus Class.

Thanks t for this insight into the Sing Air business class………I was considering it…

AFAIK Singapore Airlines don't fly directly into CNX so they are unlikely to have an office. Thai USED to have an office in the Old Town but that is long closed down - go to the airport

THAI has a large office at the airport, ground floor between domestic and international counters. SIN I don't know, but many international airlines have small offices in the corridor leading to security/immigration on the 2nd floor - with limited hours.

Thank you….do you know if you can buy an International ticket at the airport office….?   I’ve been having trouble with using Visa online.
