  1. Hi,

am sure we're all looking for the most perfect maid in the world..... I've tried to spread the word among my friends but then i received various weird phone calls. Is an agency really the last resource to be able to get the best on the market?

If anyone can help with little hints it would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Francesca

  2. Ciao Annetta e Andiamo,

thank you for the great suggestions. I would also add to the italian restaurants BACCO on Sukhumvit 53. Food is just great!!!! Bit pricey but the quality of the food is just the one you find in Italy.

    Ciao

    Francesca

    Hi Frasia,

I have to tell that Andiamo suggested you all the best places about italian food in Bangkok (I am Italian too....) as I have been myself many times both at Zanotti and Limoncello. But I would add GIUSTO, listed in the top 10 restaurants in Bangkok, again Italian food. It's on Sukumvit but now I cannot find the business card, should be soi 9 or 11, food is great, a cosy atmosphere in a very nice setting! As for Zanotti you have to reserve well in advance on Fridays and Saturdays.

    Enjoy your evening!

    Annetta :o

    Enjoy! :D

  3. Hi Frasia,

I had not heard of the hairdresser you mentioned. However, check out this thread which was started a while back. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30245

From this I 'discovered" Schwing at Langsuan which I find great. Have a read through & hope you find someone you like! :o

    Ciao andiamo,

thank you again for another helpful hint! I'll try next week. I have another question for you, if you don't mind. For some reasons (i usually don't look for italian people when am abroad) i have a very nice little group of italian girlfriends. We only see each others at bday parties or with the kids around therefore almost all the conversations we try to have are usually interrupted. I suggest we would go out for a dinner together and they all liked the idea. Allright now, there are an infinity of places in bkk and this is my question for you. Have you ever organized a lady evening out? Where would you go for nice foods not too noisy, not too crammed but relaxed and easy? Hope i don't bother you too much with all this questions.,......

    Ciao

    Francesca

  4. Pansy's, 20/24 Ruam Rudi Village, Soi Ruam Rudee are great (Lancome facials). I've been going there for years. It's very small and quiet but that's how I like it. Haven't got the number with me but you can find them on Google. It's 2 buildings down from the back of All Seasons Place so I love to go in there and treat myself to some window shopping afterwards.

Thank you so much for your help.

  5. Can anyone suggest a good place for a facial? I don't really like the oil massage facial but i refer to the one where they use steam and then remove your black heads and apply a nice mask etc. Don't really like improviser but am more confortable with expert.

    Thanks a lot!

  6. I was wondering if in Bkk one can go to an open market to buy shoes. Am talking about either second hand good quality shoes or just good quality maybe out of fashion good quality shoes. I've been to Central and Siam and Emporium but i cannot find the right shoes. Either too high healed or to cutey.... Being italian makes matters more difficult i guess. Your help is very much appreciated.

  7. Have you ever heard or have you ever been to Abstract Creations of Johnny Limi in Thonglo Soi 7? They are advertised on the Bangkok guide and also they have quite a big sign outside the shop saying that Johnny has 15 years of experience. He has mainly worked in Canada and his haircuts can change your life.

SO I booked myself in but the shop looked very empty. Just one lady at the chair. Also the appointment book was quite empty and a friend told me that the shop is always empty.

I went, as my first experience in Bkk, to Jazzing Hair Design (Sukhumvit 31) and my highligth has alredy disappeared and my hair is not nice at all.

Someone is suggesting Panipa in Ekkamai, but at this point am a bit confused . Can anyone of you advise. Just a good haircut!

    Thank you so much!
