It’a great to get the word out because no matter what the details are you’ll need to file a return, and not filing is going to inevitably become a problem.
What would be nice is clarity on the details. If you search for articles you’ll find some saying that it’s only income under certain buckets that qualifies, specifically income from employment, from business, and from property. Other articles say it’s all forms of income, even those from a pension.
Given this is for 2024 income, it would be good for people who need to pay to know now so they can save a bit of money every month rather than be hit with a nasty bill suddenly next year.

I’ve drafted an apology for them to use:
”I’m sorry I said that you paid 300m Baht. I might have gotten that number wrong, I don’t know, maybe you can let me know. Or maybe nothing was paid and the charges just sort of dropped on their own? Yeah I guess any of us could run over policemen in our Ferraris while high and blame it on our bodyguards and refuse to take alcohol or drug tests and the charges would be dropped too. I mean no big deal right? Happens every day. So yeah I’m sorry for saying that 300m baht was paid, something else probably happened that was not 300m baht in payments. Yeah. Super sorry.”

Someone was told to submit a 500 word article but only had 50 words of content. 😆

Show us the CCTV. I’m sure the language was colorful!

Anyone who was paying close attention to the case isn’t so sure of that. There was the Met police investigation, the changing timelines of the defense, that the man’s phone was found at the Burmese residence (despite them saying they left before the couple would have walked past), the defense declined to retest DNA after it was possible, the testimony of the third Burmese, the running away and changing appearance before anyone accused them, and so on.
Reason people didn’t hear about this stuff is that the Samui Times was on a crusade to free these two despite what the facts said. And international media assumed ST was a local news source instead of a blog being run from overseas.
The court verdict and more importantly statements by the father who attended the trials explain everything.

Have to say that's what the video points towards.
But this won't end well for them, neither will it help the image of foreigners here.
What video, do you have a link to share with us? The one the screenshots are from only shows the guy on top of the cop wrestling him down.

Interesting to see the flurry of news about this guy lately. The funny thing is nothing that he has done is necessarily unusual for someone in his position.
Looks like it’s a power struggle and someone is muscling their way in.

This is the same crew that was harassing people in Japan. Taunting someone in the train saying Hiroshima Nagasaki we will do it again. And going up to girls asking where they can find prostitution and calling them racial slurs. Charming stuff like that.
Good to see they might finally face some real consequences.

Not that I advise wearing skimpy lingerie in trips to Soi Cowboy - but what did he expect, given the location?
Not only that, in the video they told him to stop but as soon as the manager left they started again. And they were live-streaming it. When the manager came back they were laughing it off and swearing.
Was only then that the hotel GM came in with cops.
The whole thing could have been avoided if they had stopped. Or acted humble in front of management. Or even at the station an apology and wai would have fixed it. But instead one of their idiot crew pretended to be a lawyer to try and see them.
In Thailand you can get away with a lot of stuff. This is example of what happens when you do completely the opposite.

This guy is insufferable. And it’s obviously a rip-off of Mr. Beast.
But if he paid for them then who cares. No different than Thai bigwigs paying for police escorts on the highway.

The $10k story is so she can ask to borrow like $1k and promise to pay back at a very high interest rate.
Sounds like the local Thais bought her story. Hopefully they didn’t advance her any money.
Reminds me of a certain large-legged person who received lots of donations and ended up partying it away on Patpong with no shame whatsoever.

Sucker punch and run. What a brave lad!
Now instead of 10,000 Baht or whatever the tuktuk driver wanted he’ll be lucky if it’s only 10x that amount.

This isn’t America. If you take a swing at the DJ you can expect to get stomped. He is lucky he isn’t in jail himself for starting a fight.

Some people seem to think that getting a vaccine means you can never catch or carry the virus.
It’s like using seatbelts in a car crash. Helps a lot but isn’t an invincibility pill.
