  1. I have a multiple entry ED visa, I entered in Thailand on Sep 3 and extended in Immigration on November 28, therefore I get an additional 90 days period (expires on March 1st).

Am I still allowed to go out of Thailand to get another 90 days? If yes, what about the adress notification, do I still have to notify my adress or not (for this one I have to report on Feb 26...), and if yes, can I report at the immigration office where I will cross the border?

My understanding is I can go out to get 90 days and if I go out before or on 26, I dont need to notify again my adress since I left the country and did not stay more than 90 days... Can somebody clarify? Thanks!

  2. What is MAO software Joakb?

I'll give Pantip a look-in when I'm next in Bkk.

Sorry MAO is French acronym :-) I meant you can find at Pantip all the softwares you are using + many more + DVD's full of sound banks, any style. Just ask the seller about Cubase or whatever, he will give you the music software catalogue in which you will find what you are looking for... any DVD should cost around 150-200 bahts (well this is what I paid :-)

  3. Any Board Members into Music Production? I am exploring the possibility of buying additional sounds to compliment my existing Sequencing software (Ableton, Fruity Loops, and Cubase).

On a recent trip to N America I bought a Line 6 TonePort KB 37, which allows me to record audio (Vocals, Guitar, Base, -with GearBox software an amazing array of guitar and Bass types, Amps and cabinets are selectable) direct onto my laptop HD via Ableton sequencer software, with virtually zero latency, in addition to input of MIDI FM or Sampled virtual instruments, drum kits etc. using the attached piano keyboard.

But, I need to increase the number of VST plug-ins with perhaps a DVD based set of Sound Samples like VI.ONE, and/or add a decent software Synth such as Ableton Operator, Omnisphere (ouch – expensive).

So, if anyone has experience they are willing to share.. this is the thread! I am not a professional, nor am I a Techie but I enjoy making music.- most Genre. I am just starting out with this new interest and so don't have much experience.

    All members' input appreciated.

    Cheers Rick

You can buy sound banks at Pantip plaza, they have plenty of MAO softwares...

  4. Just moved to Bangkok, I would like to find opponent, any level. I am 30 years old Belgian (speak French, English, een beetje het Nederland), I play just for fun, not that bad, not that good either :-)

I live near On Nut BTS station but I am flexible about location and time. Drop me a message if your are interested.

  5. I am about to request an ED visa valid for a year, my understanding was the visa has to be utilized latest 3 months following issuance date and I would be able to stay one year as of entry date, but my consulate told me it is visa issuance date that is taken into account?? Since the officer I talked to was not aware of what is an ED visa, I am doubting, I would appreciate if somebody could clarify!

  6. I plan to go to Thailand next summer for a year, in order to explore the country and get some insight on how it feels to live there... probbaly do also some sightseeing in the surrounding countries as well. First months I will take intensive Thai language courses (that I am already learning).

I'd like to know what's the best option in my situation:

    - Request an ED visa in Belgium or in Thailand?

    - Apply for a multiple entry visa in Belgium (but having contacted the Thai embassy, it seems they only grant this visa to people working, since they request the paperwork that would be required for getting a work permit??).

I am really not sure what to do, would appreciate to get some help, thanks in advance!
