I just renewed my soon to 10 years old work permit in may 2018 ( back then work permit extension were only 3 month at once) i always do most of the company paperwork by myself by the way , renewal went through without a problem.

When i brought it to the accountant to be photocopied and stored in my file, i was met with strange looks as i was told such an old work permit should have been changed as it's according to them 10 years old, i pointed to the initial date which is may 2008 and said it's not yet 10 years old.

I'm on koh samui, i just went to penang to get another non-B multiple entry and no problem at all either.

Would you by any chance also be on samui or at least in surat thani province?

My question if i was forced to change it next year is what would happen with the salary thing, mine is still 30K allowing me to pay only 500 baht a month personal income tax.

I always though that was for free movement of people. 

It's only for highly qualified professions, doctors, engineers and they'll still have to pass the qualifying tests in the country they wish to work to acquire a local license.

Thanks manarak. How could 3bb fix that SNR? Is it hardware or software related? About the sync speed. Is there something i can do?

there's nothing you can do by yourself, your modem is auto negotiating a lower speed than the specified profile when the value goes down, call 1530, say snr is low, 24h later a technician will show up at your doorstep and will check your line and make sure it's back to normal values, you're probably just 125M from the mini DSLAM in the street.

Apart from, that you wait to you VDSL package, if the upload rate to a domestic server is below 1.8Mb you should call 3bb. I had that issue in the past. They switched/replaced something on a box outside of the condo and then suddenly my upload speed got improved. It's worth a try.

Btw; i stay at VT 2B. Not far from you. So i think, we should get quite similar results.

your line values are quite bad, you should call 1530 and say that SNR is very low and you're disconnected very often.

The sync speed for 18/1.8 package is 20476/2045 not 17433/1916 as you have for now until your next disconnection.

3BB gave everyone a huge upgrade, people who were on 13/1 adsl(no longer available) package are now on 20/2,adsl is now replaced by VDSl 631 baht a month for 20/4, those who were on fiber 30/3 are now on 100/10.

the speed is guanranteed within the country but the contention ratio is hitting us hard because of the upgrade, my guess is they'll monitor the bandwidth needed to match their contention ratio per package and will proceed to the modification very soon.

Usually i used to drop my thax return pnd 91 at the krung thai bank and was given a receipt showing the amount '0'.

are you sure you don't have a machine running an uncontrolled bittorent client?

you can call tot in songkhla and ask them to change the modem to 'bit mode' 074536480 - 074200698 .

don't change the word bit mode to bridge or anything else, when the operator will type bit mode in the interface he/she will transfer your call to a technician who'll do it remotely.

don't forget to ask them what the username and password is

post the values of your line and i'll tell you if the problem is on your side or on their side ;-)

it's only because your line values have dropped, check them out in the modem's page. SNR should be 15 minimum in up and down .

and how long is the permission of stay?
