  1. jailbreak can't unlock an iphone 4 unless it is on the first baseband 01.59.00, if your iphone 4 is on baseband 04.10.01 maximum then a gevey sim is for you.

if your baseband is higher than that, you have to go through an official apple unlock but this doesn't work for stolen phones.

  2. either sync your ipad from icloud or check if itunes has a copy of your ipad in its sunced device(i guess on another computer) , if so use iphone backup explorer and you're good to go smile.png

I never turned on the iPad 2 back-up to iCloud, so there is nothing there. This was a first time sync to a new computer, also those pics were never on this new computer.

unfortuneately i'm afraid there's no hope in such conditions, next time if you want to retrieve the photos and store them on your HDD you can simply drag and drop them when the ipad is connected to the computer.

  3. Yes. I no longer need my Singapore citizenship. I'm more than willing to burn my Singapore passport, Birth certificate and Identity card once everything is done.

don't do this huge mistake, you're lucky enough to come from one of the two develloped countries in south east asia!!!

you can travel wherever you want and can get visa easily, don't throw this away.

if your home country was allowing dual citizen ship, why not, but in your case it looks like a rush/fear decision.

i got a .eu passport and will never trade it for a third world country nationnality.

one thing you might have forgotten is that if you're thai, then you'll be hired on thai wages....

  4. I think the people complaining about these power suply never actually tried them or monitored them and refer to bad experiences from the past, a time when cheap PSU we giving very wrong voltages like 13V on the 12V rail etc, these were damaging the components very fast(mainboard, hardrive etc).

nowadays cheap PSU(i'm using one with big fan in my work tower) are all PFC(active or passive) with high efficiency so the power supply is cool.

anyway the best test is the multimeter test, these PSU usually start on 12V rail at around 11.8V and stabilize around 12.20V, don't forget electronic can handle +-5% voltage, i just ran a test, on the desktop 12.15V, when the machine is on max load(cpu etc) the voltage goes to 12.09V.

so as you can see it's perfoming very well and is very stable(machine is OC @ 10%).

  5. Call centers in thailand are really performing well(unlike local offices) all of them have english speakers and dedicated staff to solve your issues.

i work as an IT and call the different companie's call centers very often and have yet to find something wrong about them

europe has a lot to learn from thai callcenters starting by the waiting time(none most of the time) and the price for the call(2baht per call as opposed to over charged phone numbers per minute in europe).

  6. Could have something to do with FTTH being offered at happy hour price this month. http://www.3bb.co.th...p?lang=&id=2253

optical fiber from 3BB is not available in samui.

Well it's being sold and people are getting it. Swiss fella down the road (200-250m) has had it for around 3 months. I tend to think if someone has it then the chances that it is available is quite high. I also looked into their 'happy hour' 30/3 package around 2 weeks ago because it was only 300 Baht more than the ADSL 13/1 I am on at the moment and was told I could have it. Lamai, IT center is maybe 2km away.

i was yesterday afternoon in their office asking about their optical fiber, answer is it's not available, only TOT and CAT do provide optical fiber at the moment on koh samui.
