They were shot in retaliation for the 10 Palestinians killed a few days back. That's what happens when one nation illegally occupies another's land, collectively punishes them for any attempt to free themselves from the occupiers, and gives them no hope for freedom.

Lock up millions of people for decades, and the result is entirely forseeable.

Give a people no hope and they have nothing to lose. The PA has withdrawn all co operation with the occupying government, so expect more such.

One could expect the Israelis to know what Hosea 8:7 says  “For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.”. They have sown the wind, and the whirlwind is coming.

Bomber Harris used that quote as well, and look how that worked out!

I should be careful what you wish for.

Point being: I dont see much savings in switching for me. I find the Gillette product lasts a very long time. And it has been years since I tried the disposable bic razors, but when I did they were horrible! Maybe their technology has changed...

Agree with you on the disposable bics. Horrible things.

But the bic easy clic cartridge type as shown above, are much much better.

At the McDonalds at The Avenue in Pattaya the menu has much higher prices. The ice cream cone is 20 B instead of 10 B (200%) and the regular hamburger is 50% more more than usual, just 2 examples.

But is same for Hindus or Catholics or.....

Yes went up overnight about eight months ago.

I go to Central now for my weekly two hamburgers. 29 bt each and maybe an ice cream if I'm feeling flush.

    Living the dream.........

  4. Asked the question for a friend last week at a well known visa shop in Pattaya.

Their advice was after arriving in Thailand on a 30 day, extend at Jomtien for another 30, then up to four back to back single entries from Laos. Which will give you 4x(60+30). Total 420days.

Real pain going to Laos, but apart from an ED visa not sure you have too many options if under 50.

Cost of trip to Laos: 6900 bt inc.

  5. Fill a couple of small containers with water and position around the place. Spray a couple of squirts of oil in a can. Wd40 in UK or USA, can't remember what is called here but it comes in an orange can.

If the Female doesn't get caught in the oil when she is laying her eggs, the larvae will suffocate as they try to breath.

Very satisfying to watch the bastards struggle.

  6. I applied for my appointment yesterday and received a confirmation email one minute later and my appointment for next Tuesday the 25th today.

As I am renewing my passport I contacted the helpline in the UK and asked if I needed a counter signatory. They said no as long as my appearance had not changed radically.

Has anyone submitted an application recently without a counter signatory that can confirm this?

    Many Thanks.

If you are an adult, have not grown/lost a beard/moustache or changed hairstyle, started wearing glasses, etc then you won't need a counter signatory.

Did mine in May, no counter signatory, no problem - many others have reported the same over the last six months.

Many thanks. I actually called twice and spoke to two dirrerent people to confirm.

But hey this is Thailand, who knows!!

  8. Only a braindead idiot get's the cold-weather breeds like St Bernards (yes one idiot farang in KT bought one these, poor thing was almost always a lethargic mess), husky's without massive considerations beforehand.

Unfortunately Siberian Huskies are becoming fashionable with both Thais and farangs. I have never understood wy people in Thailand would want a large hairy dog - I have even seen St Bernards in Chatuchak. IMO whippets are the most suitable breed for this climate - but then I'm prejudiced.

Same here,. I love dogs, and if I was in a position to own one my choice would be a Soi dog puppy. Strong, natural immunity to a lot of infections and loyal.

Huskys are beautiful animals, but as another poster has said are high maintenance.

What gets my goat is people with Pugs. They struggle to breath, and just don't seem happy in this climate.

    PS. Whippets rock.

  9. Had a friend in the UK go for Herballife in a big way a few years ago. He went for it in a big way for 18 months, stickers on his car, sales talks in the US, (at his expense), stopping people in the street if they were overweight etc. We used to have a book running on when someone would punch him LOL.

He used to buy huge amounts of the stuff to get Max discount and then not be able to shift it. He had a garage filled with the "product"

Didnt make a penny and was very cagey about what it had cost him. I helped him load the crap into a skip when he finally saw the light.
