  1. Hi all,

Does anyone know if the small shopping complex is still there, it's on on nut road. It's British themed with union jacks everywhere and I think it has a London bus outside.

I'm would like to know what it is called and what it sells.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Hi , We are coming to Phuket next April for one Week. Can anyone reconmmend a nice hoilday villa which we can rent, It has to have at least 4 bedrooms, a pool and preferably near a beach ?

    Many thanks,

    Marsu.

  3. waste of money mate the sea fishing is crap here... unless you want to catch tiny tuna!

Shame to see that you have had a bad experience, right boat right crew and there are many varieties of Sea Fish to be caught.

Most of the budget day out boats only troll for small tuna its a tourist thing (and most tourists are happy with that). If you want proper fishing go with one of the specialised charters depending on your budget.I catch Dorado,Wahoo,Cobia,Rainbow runner,Sailfish and Blue & Black Marlin,Barracuda, Tuna of course. I am lucky enough to have my own boat and friends with proper Sea Fishing Charters not bucket and spade brigade tuna trolls.

Rawai also has a fishing club the only IGFA sponsor club in Asia. Tight Lines next time out.

Thanks for the advise, I was hoping to get some good game fishing and not do the tourist trail for stickel backs (small spicky fish in uk). So where do I find the specialised charters that are willing to take myself and a friend to the good fishing grounds ? All I seam to get when I google is the offer of free snorkelling at some Island, which would be nice If thats what I wanted.

    Thanks again.

  4. Hi

Coming to Phuket in August and was wondering if there was any deep sea fishing trips that supply the tackle and the boats are in good condition.

    Thanks, Mark.

  5. Hi All

On the 4th of April I wil be driving from Chiang Rai to Bangkok via Chiang Mai, Kampaeng Phet and Nakon Sawan (Not all in one day). Can anyone advice me on any major road works and road conditions in these areas. Maybe any alternative route than Highway 1.

    Thanks Mark

  6. Im looking to hire a car for two week and drive from Chiang Rai to Bangkok. I have been on most of the web sites looking for the best price and Budget seamed to be the best deal with a quote of £468 for the size of car we require, Then I was on the Thai visa web site and noticed that they offer car rental, so i gave it a go. The booking company is called Fast car rentail, I could not belive that they could book the same car through Budget for only £359. Now been a Yorkshire man the alarm bells started to ring, Is this true, Has anyone had any dealing with this company, They do not have a direct telephone number to talk to a rep but you can leave a message and they will get back to you ! It just seams to good to be true, and you know the saying if it's to good to be true it usually is.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

  7. Hi all,

This is not a ad but i have to tell you if you want fantastic Thai food in CM you must visit this small place I found, The restaurant is called Kao Kab Kang and its on Changklan Road near the Empress Hotel. The food is just beautiful and as I say the restaurant is only small (maybe holds 30 people) but it is very clean, The second best thing is the prices, There were Four of us and we had loads of food and drink and the bill came to just short of 2000 Baht.

    Hope you try it out.
