The embassy tells me a copy of the decree absolute is fine but the website says original, or court certified, documents are required!
Unfortunately the UK county court doesn't accept payment by bank transfer and they send the document by post so could be a lengthy process.
Will maybe try it with a copy and post what happens.

Thanks for the replies.
I have an option to get married but my question is,
I am legally divorced but don't have my decree absolute, can i get my ex-wife to email me a copy of it or does it have to be an 'original' document from the British court?
Thanks

Sorry if i've missed the answer to my query.
At the moment i'm on a retirement visa.
Thai Girlfriend and i have a 12 year old together.
Can i change my 'non O' retirement to a parent/guardian visa?
If so can i do this without leaving the country?

Been told they are offering 2 deals on 20+ year old trees for a max. 10 rai(with papers);
1. One off 100,000 baht payment if you are to replant a crop.
2. 4 years @ 40,000(160,000) if you were to replant fruit trees.
This is Kalasin province, not sure if nationwide.

Yes thanks though the local authorities seem to be dragging their heels with the applications.

Due to various reasons my FiL, who lives near the border of Udon and Kalasin(Wang Sam Mo,) has decided to remove his 50 rai of 20+ year old trees. Does anyone know a company that buys(cuts and removes) them?
He's been asking around at the local market when selling but only had one company take a look.
Thanks

This was no big brawl, i was about 50m away from the fracas watching a few street fireworks and didn't even see it.
There's no glass on the road that's glitter from aerosols that many had, lots of spray string too.
People may not know but there was actually a well known undercover policeman in the video who didn't see a need to get involved, maybe tha'ts no surprise.
Dickheads fighting yes but no major incident.

We started tapping 25 Mar 15. Here we are 16 days later and we're told our cups are only half-full, and we plan to sell in approx a week's time. Prices are said to be around the 24 baht/kg range.
I'm overseas at the moment and won't be back until end of the month. We also have new tappers, naturally I'm a bit nervous managing the operation while so far away. Anybody else opened yet?
Cheers,
J
We opened for the first time last October but starting again after Songkran, 24 baht sounds ok!
Trees are in Udon.

Hi all,
i have a rubber farm near Wang Sam Mo, Udon, i will be up there the weekend of the 20th, if you decide on this date i would like to come along to the meeting for a few beers, a chat and to put faces to some of the names i have read from over the years.
Cheers

Having lived here 5 years i foolishly forgot what ex-pats were like as i shared my information on this forum. 25 of you downloaded my spreadsheet without reply, needless to say i will not share any more info, which is a pity for you as most of you seem to not have a clue.
Being a parasite is not a virtue.

Charliedundee, Where did you get your spreadsheet from? I live in Kalasin in Kuchinarai are you anywhere near me? Issangeorge
I made it myself. I live in Hua Hin but i am coming to Kalasin in a couple of weeks to check land out if thats any help

Hi all,
as i am about to aquire land in Karasin to farm rubber i was interested in all your comments.
Most of my research so far in farming has been financial so as to ascertain which, if any, farms would be profitable and i agree with Issangeorge's figures, in fact i have one friend who yields 4 kg per rai a day for 135 days a year and last week another friend sold rubber sold at 85 baht/kg which gives nearly 4000 baht a month per rai, also there is "exploiting" the tree which although reduces the life expectancy of the tree by about 5 years produces a third more rubber, then there is the relatively new strain of tree 'Rimm 251' which has reportedly been harvesting for the last 5 years an astonishing 140 % more than the existing 'Rimm 600' that 90 % of Thailand use at the moment.
I'm sure you can tell i am sold on rubber as it appears to be a very lucrative business but i would be interested in any negatives.
I am now looking into soil types etc. and would be interested if anyone has any good easy to understand( i am no farmer) links to this type of info ?
Cheers
