  1. The issue of men being the bread winner still exists and it exists all over the world. IMO, it's an instinctive behavior when men feels obligated to go out and find food, while women bear their children. I say this only as a scientific hypothesis, so please do not read into this as an insult to women.

Even though the evolution of men and women have come a long ways in terms of equal rights, we still have a ways to go. Women are still being paid less, are still considered the bearer of children, and are still passed up for promotions. Maybe if men could give birth out of their behind, things would change. :o

It's the same shet as equal rights to minorities. And when I say minorities, I mean all race. So for example, if you are caucasian living in Thailand, you will still be charged for more on everything compared to your Thai counterparts. Same here in the states. If you are black, you will still experience racism. Not all the times, but it still exists. It sucks, but it's evolutionary. It is evident not only in our own specie, but down to the micro-organisms that lives on our skin. Majority has an edge and always will. Think about it.

In regards to Kai21 post. Being Thai-American I like to shed some light. There were times where I was not able to meet the pocket book of my significant other, and instinctively I felt a little ashamed. It was not a feeling that I think I could control from the start. I just felt like I lost face when really it's nothing major. "Losing face" is a big deal to Thais. I think everyone has said that here in this forum. Even after being in the states for a long time where I think women have made strides in terms of status and equal rights, I still feel obligated to take care of women. Maybe it's innate. Maybe because I'm a nut and my reply is becoming a bowl of "word salad". :D

  2. To cheer up ole Supersurch I'll just ask whether he likes the service he gets fom Bell South

    LOL! :o

It's not too bad. There is some lag time during windy days.

I knew that you could track down the ISP address, but could you pinpoint the location? If you could, I'm moving. :D

It's not that I am a fugitive or something, I just enjoy my anonymity. :D

  3. :D

Can you "Admins" really track me down? If so, shet! Although, I don't think I ever posted anything offensive to be tracked down, but I was reading the post from nevermindthegap and Dr. Patpong tracked his ID. That's rather eerie. I'm not a IT wiz, so I was just wondering how you folks do that. Oh well. If you can find me, I'll buy you lunch or dinner. Which ever you choose. :o

Excuse me for crossing over into your world for a minute. I really enjoy reading your posts, they are usually very informative.

Being the gentleman I am, I would like to wish all you beautiful Ladies a very Merry Christmas!>>>>>>>>> and a happy new year

suck up to the other women

Sucking up to women is not such a bad thing, is it Gentleman?

...And ladies, pardon the interuption on your forum. I consider every women, whether large or small, light or dark, and sophiscated or not as smart to be the most beautiful living thing ever created. Happy holidays and a wonderful New Year. Chok-dee, krup.

  5. I wish supersuck would realise that it is a VERY good chance that he will never meet anyone here in this forum as we are nearly all expats that are with someone

Good lord, how elitist that sounds, but my interpretation could be wrong. For the record: As much as I enjoy posting on this site and reading them, I prefer my anonymity. :o

    Gentleman,

If you associate yourself with "every" male poster, then you belong in that group. Re-read my posts. Never said "every". This is the same secenario with the "Saddam" posts. You have a habit of not processing the information, before you get happy fingers. I never said I am a "Bush" supporter and never said "every" male posters here are bar-hounds. And I won't justify my posts to you, because frankly, I could care less if you exist or not. As far as I know (this means my opinion), you are non-existent. Interpret that however you want, but you are NON-EXISTENT. Think about it.

This site is great for sharing information and every once in awhile debate on a sensitive topic. It seems (this means my opinion) like you have taken another step forward by actually incorporating youself into this forum as if you were actually here physically. Snap out of it, man. This is an internet web site! If you are actually offended by what someone has written in here, then you are every bit what they say. A little jab here or there is fun, but are you actually offended?

Click your heels three times and say "there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home". Gentleman, you're not in Kansas any more.

I will lay down my arms (first for an American, huh?). My jousting with you is over. Thank you and have a happy holidays.

Ok..this is not your solution..also you do not have one..  Interesting..

Then why you support Bush. His solution is to hunt each an every terrorist and clean the world

Re-read my posts. There is nothing in there that states my support for Bush and his polocies. You assumed that I supported him, just because I am proud to be an American and I am passionate about witnessing the loss of innocent American lives.

Tsk, Tsk. You have not given any viable solutions, just a bunch of word salad with a few history here and there. Although, you have done me a favor by validating my point-of-views:

    1)

they give their two cents with such conviction and no validity

You and others have continuously jump to conclusions before absorbing the information, processing it, and then conveying your views.

    2)

I am interested in what you guys have to say, only to the point of sensibility.

My posts were intended to ask Anti-Bush and Anti-American posters on how they think the world problems should be resolved and how the world should react to international trajedies. Rather than giving concrete answers, a lot you have resorted to name-calling, finger-pointing, and American bashing. As a result of that, some Americans have taken offense, and refuted your replies.

This is not about Saddam, Iraq, death of innocent lives, or polotics, but merely a deep-seeded hate for not just Americans or America, but for anything that you do not believe in. How self-centered and unempathetic that is. This is not a debate, it's a play-ground fight. End.

But is violence the answer to what happened in Sept 11?

No, I don't believe in violence. But, I don't believe in inviting Bin Laden or Hussein for a cup of hot chocalate and analyzing the video of innocent Americans burning to death either. I'm not an expert in terrorism or polotics. It's very interesting, though, and I enjoy reading other's point of views. But I get a little impatient with some of the posters here when they give their two cents with such conviction and no validity. I respect their passion, but when they start spitting on America and Americans then I lose that respect for them.

No one country is perfect. I never claimed that US is perfect. It is a great country, but that's because I am American. If I was living in England, I would be proud of that country. If I lived in Iraq, I would be proud of that nation as well. Again, I don't have solutions. That's why I'm here, not in the White House, or the English Parlaiment, or the Afghan Jirga.

I am interested in what you guys have to say, only to the point of sensibility.

  8. Iraq wasnt threatening you country at all, Geoges dad, George was still angry re the hit put out on him in his term - it was probably barbara weilding the wand anyway. I think Iraqis were supressed/killed and should be helped, but not for the reasons the USA went in - that was definately Oil - actually the biggest oil reserves in the world, over 500 years worth (figures from my mate, who is a mud engineer for halliburton!)

Wow! You know the Bush Family? How is Jeb doing?

I believe you now since your buddy is a mud engineer for halliburton. You are so convincing. How were you ever able to have all these tie-ins with publicized Americans. Hey, maybe you are also in with Alan Greenspan. Ask him if I should invest in bonds or high-tech stocks? Better yet, ask Emiril Legasse if I should add (3) tablespoons of salt in his famous gumbo or I should add only (2)? Let me know if Britney Spears still has the hots for Justin Timberlake, O.K.?

  9. Simple..just stop creating them..You hit me..I hit you..you kill me..my brother will kill you..you kill my family..another family in my hometwon will kill you..you kill my town..my country will kill you..

    Never ending..

That's not a solution. What's my solution? I don't have one that's why I don't spew political B.S. I am asking those who thinks they know, but they don't and continue to have diarrhea mouth. But that's the beauty of "free speech", I guess.

  10. To all the Anti-Bush & Anti-American polocies people:

I respect your opinion in regards to peace and not creating violence within the world. I too, feel that sacrificing young men and women's lives for something I'm not quite sure of myself is pointless. But first, before I opined someone else's view on making the world better, I not only give my reasons for my opposition, but also add a solution of my own. So...

You are free to express your point of views with or without validity since freedom of speech is something we all cherish. But I would like to ask those who continues to blast Bush, Americans, and their polocies, "What is your solution to this ever growing problem called...terrorism?" And how should have the American government respond after witnessing their citizens, normal, every day life people jumping off the World Trade Center to morbidly escape their burning office? And finally, what intelligent information do you have in regards to Iraq and the Americans' suspicion on the country's possesion of WMD and the suspicion on Iraq's relationship with terrorist that would lead you to think that none of that exists? Please elaborate.

    Thank you,

    SS

  11. I Think you miss spelt your name, it should of been Supersuck not Supersurch

    Gent,

Not sure if you are trying to insult me or not, because I'm unable to comprehend your post. Maybe you could elaborate for me a little bit on what you meant to say. In any case, if you are flaming my messages, I say carry on my friend! It's such an attractive quality and you'll be sure to get a date. :o

    Thank you,

  12. Hi ladies and gents! Back from my self-suspension. Thank you.

Since we are sharing heartbreak stories, here's mine:

I dated a girl in my sophomore year in college, who (IMO) was one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Both personally and physically striking. Her looks were similar to, I would say, Julia Roberts. With the long, curly, reddish-brown hair, tiny pointy nose, and hazel doe-like eyes. (I think that's the correct spelling for "small deer"). Any way, along with her beautiful face she caught many looks from other gents with her hour-glass body. She didn't have the Victoria Secret type body or anything, but who does, right? B) Every time she smiled I felt like fire-works went off. Every time she laughed, time stopped and people would try to listen in on what she was laughing about. Day or night, make-up or no make-up, or even when she was a little hung-over she had the smell of roses and the beauty of an orchid . She also had the uncanny ability to smooth my heart and mold it in every shape or form she desired. She was becoming my every dream...

but ended in a nightmare. :D She was fishing for a guppy at the time. And I was elected for the position. Or rather I took the bait. You see, she came off a heartbreak of her own and she needed a tempory fix on life. Did I know that she had broken up with her long-time boyfriend? Unfortunately, I did. But I took a chance and served my heart to her on a silver platter. After she marinated it with all her affection, herbs, and spices, she cooked it and chopped it up into little pieces and fed it to the pirrahnas. Needless to say, she went back to her boyfriend after our semester before the summer break. I knew something was up when I went to visit her in her home town and she was not anything like Julia Roberts, more like Robert Downey Jr. suffering from cocaine withdraw.

I went into a coma-like state after that. The only difference from the real coma was that I was coherent. I walked around like a zombie, searching for my soul only to find other soul-less people to hang out with. I did some things that I still today am ashamed off. Drugs, drugs, and more drugs. After getting high for some time I started to seek vengenance by treating woman like they were there to be used. No violence, just took their souls. But I started to realize that every heart I broke it became tougher for me to find love and tougher for me to forgive myself for the way I treated people who were only looking for love themselves. It's such a vicious cycle. Get hurt, then hurt others.

Nine years later, I still think about those days. But with a little more maturity and experience I come to my senses that the world is just not fair sometimes. Not all people are good, but there are more good than bad.

My heart was packed away for some time, but not too long I took it out, dust if off and peeled the bandage off the wound. I thought about being more protective of it, because what had happened was pretty painful. Then I thought, what's the point? What would be the point of living if I always had reservations on loving someone? I can't think of any. B)

    All jimini-christmas, what a sappy story! :o

  13. Bob,

Being late on your payments will not affect your credit unless you are past (30) days. Then your rating starts to decrease as the late payments progress to (60) days and then (90) days. Once it hits (90) days you'll be getting calls and mailings from the collectors.

Since the debts are personal unsecured lines, your business (equipment, receivables, cash, etc.) should not be affected. But, you may have a harder time borrowing money in the states, both professionally and personally. Hard to grow a business when you can't borrow cash. :o

Unfortunately, I don't have a formula on how many points your credit score will decrease from each late payment, but as they surpass each thirty-day mark it gets even worse.

My solution: Do you still have a house in the states or any other type of property? If so, cash-out refinance on it and consolidate those C.C. Quickly do it before those payments become even more deliquent. Borrowing money against property now-a-days has become very easy in the US. Even with bad credit. Although, you may have to pay a price for it if you have adverse credit. :D

  14. Do you still have ownership of the property? Is your name on the deed or title? How the heck can they just sell the house without your permission? That sucks, man! :o

I don't have a solution, since I am pretty naive about property ownership in Thailand, but I do sympathize. Get yourself a Thai lawyer or something.

  15. Pom con Thai, kup! Pood Thai mai geng, pood unggit dee gua, nah.

100% Thai in blood, good ol' US of A at heart. I'm in the same boat as you, my friend. My asian-college buddies used to call me a banana. B)

In regards to being treated like a foreigner, I'll tell you a story:

Two years ago, my girlfriend (Caucasian) and I went to Thailand for vacation. We went to Pattaya for a few days getting away from the Krung-Thep rut. I knew that she would be charged more for everything since she is white, so on a few occasians we tried to be savy about it. One time, I asked her to sit on the curb while I hail down a song-tel. No cabs in Pattaya, just song-tels. One stopped and I asked the driver how much it would be to go back to our hotel. He said (140) baht. (140) baht is merely, what, then (2001) around $3.00 which is inexpensive considering the cab rides in Chicago (I was from there at the time). But I wanted to dispute the fee, so I asked the driver why it was so expensive for a five minute ride, he looked at me and said "Kon Kow". I said "A lai wah?" B) So he pointed to my girl-friend waiting on the curb. Then the driver also said to me "Koon kon kow mirn-gun", because I spoke like a "farang". :o

It was rather hilarious, because he was so observant that I just had to pay the marked-up rate. I told my gf what had happened in the back of the song-tel and she laughed about it too. After that, I always called her "Kon Kow".

I also tried to sneak her in a zoo once. Bought two "Thai" tickets, and thought that if we were to rush in with a big crowd the attendants wouldn't notice. Well, they noticed and made a big fuss about it. "Farang mai dai, farang mai dai!" pointing to her ticket. This time she was not pleased about this situation since she was put on display like that. We had to go back and purchased two "Farang" tickets. They made me pay for a "farang" ticket since I tried to cheat them. I was merely having a little fun. O.K. and save a few baht too. :D

  16. moscow,

I would have to say that most Thai guys are genuine and are true to the words they express B) . What do you have to lose? Just your soul, right?? Ahhh, that precious inner self that we all treasure so very much. So much so we protect it by arming ourselves with inhibitions, doubt, sketicism, etc. Is love really worth it to dangle our very innocence over a pool of soul-eating sharks?

YES! I say, go for it. Put your guards down and let your soul dance, let it fluidly move with the sound of love, let it experience the sweetness of its' berries, and the sourness of its' limes. Let it grasp when it is frighten and let it jump for joy during the times of elation. Let it taste the bitterness of its' pain, and the sorrow of its' cries. Let it die and reborn again. Let it heal to not only what it once was, but even stronger and lovelier than what you would expect it to be! Let it learn to live, then experience it as it is living.

All, criminelly! Pardon for the word salad, ladies. I will suspend myself for four days now. :o

Katord kup. Pom ba, kup. :D

    Thank you,

    SS

  17. pantarei,

I was merely taking a parting shot at skywise. The stats were to draw a another reply from that particular poster. I realize there is no correlation between penis size and AIDS. Just trying to add fuel to the fire.

Don't be offended. If you are, so be it. I have to warn you that I'm just a figure of your imagination. :o
