  1. I had to prove my address today at the Pathumthani Immigration office. First time in 17 years. They accepted Thai DL.

My comment the same as OP. Used a form from Immigration to get the DL.

My 90 day report had a stamp on it, in Thai, saying "don't forget to renew your visa"! But a full 90 days given.

  2. I make an old fashioned Bread stuffing.

For your size turkey....guessing as I do NOT use a fixed recipe.

Two loaves of white bread lightly toasted and cut into about 1 inch squares.

A large stalk of celery finely chopped.

    A large onion finely chopped.

A couple of tablespoons full of Sage.

I make a stock using the turkey neck, wing tips and pope's nose with celery, onion and sage. I moisten the stuffing with this until it will form a solid ball. Any stock left over goes into the gravy pan. I stuff my turkey tightly, immediately before sticking it in the oven. 350F until the Butterball sensor pops or until the legs move freely. I do not cover the breast as I like the crisp skin and do not mind the white meat being a bit dry. I do not use the giblets in my stuffing. They are saved for snacking later.

Oh yeah, I stuff the neck skin as well as the cavity. Pull the skin to cover the stuffing and keep it in place with toothpicks. I like stuffing! LOL

  3. We have grown tomatoes successfully in the Wang Muang area of Saraburi after many years of failure here in Samkhok. Decent soil and cool nights seem to be the secret. We started the seeds in plastic bags with dirt that my wife bought at a local garden shop. The seedlings were planted in the native soil, mixed with chopped coconut husks in mid October. The plants are doing well right now and have started setting fruit. This is the method that we have used for the past few years.; It has been quite successful. Largest BeefSteak that we harvested was 600gm. See pic of it comes through. Skins a bit tough but flavor and texture were very good.

  4. If you have a typical house it will have a floor drain in the bathroom also. That will have to be plugged.

I think that putting masking tape behind your silicone will be ounter productive. The water will seep in behind it. Worry about cleaning the silicone off the wall after the water recedes. I very securely taped over the electrical outlets in our house last year. After the water was out of the house and when I pulled the tape off water poured out of the outlets. I also tripped all of the lower level circuit breakers. We never did lose power.

Two feet of water in our house last year.

  5. I had an EVE that I really liked. It got flooded in 2011.

I bought a gas Siemens after the flood. I am not very happy with it. The stove top burner adjustment is not even. Not much between full on and low.

The oven is hotter in the back than the front and it takes a long time to heat up.

It serves it's purpose but given the choice I would look elsewhere.

Sorry, I am not in CM so no help there.

  6. We had tried, here in the Somkhok area of Pathumthani for more than 10 years. Vatious soils, fertilizesr, seeds, etc. No luck at all. Three years running, on land in the Wang Muang area, we had very good tomatoes. And a great supply. Native soil, cow manure and straw around the base of the staked plants. Watered at the base at least once a week if not enough rain. 1" per week in early morning or late evening.

Seedlings in the ground in late September or early October. I hope to get a decent crop this year. We pick only vine ripe and give away what we cannot use. I think the picture is from 2009 or 2010. The tomato weighed 600 grams and was excellent eating.

2011 the flood ate my seedlings and 2012 a medical problem kept me from taking proper care. Still got suitable, eating tomatoes last year but nothing to brag about..

I have had problems with some imported seeds. The variety has not made any difference. Beefsteak, BetterBoy, etc. Normally large slicing tomatoes are my choice. Problems.... Not germinating. Not setting fruit. Stunted plants. I attribute it to possible strong Xray of the seeds when they are enroute. No matter in a ladies purse or a guys pockets. Same problems with pepper seeds. Best luck has been with seeds mailed in.
