  1. Hi,

I’m currently on a Non O marriage extension of stay that expires in April 2023. When I applied for this we used my salary income to fulfil the financial requirements.

My current contract ends at the end of this month. My questions is do I need to reapply for a new Non O extension on Oct 1 (with bank deposit of 400000 as financial requirement), or will my current extension be valid until April 2023 even though I would no longer be working as of Oct 1?

    Thanks,

  2. With multiple, repeating Royal pardons he will be out in seven years, if not earlier.

No such thing, prisoners are either pardoned or they're not. One pardon and they're out permanently.

That is not true. When a prisoner gets a pardon it is x amount off the original sentence. The amount of time given as a pardon also depends on how the prisoner has behaved as they are graded by the prison staff. It is more common than not that a prisoner gets multiple pardons before being realized.
  3. Yeah 4 dead and it's a 'third party'. Your police were armed and they shot the protestors. Why can't you admit it? Your 'personal beliefs' mean nothing since you're just as dishonest as the masters you serve.

Why does Thailand attract so many farang conspiracy theorists? Next it will be sightings of Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa having lunch in Thong Lor

Watch the video and make up your own mind then!
    Word of warning! Extremelly graphic!
  4. Your best bet is to contact some hotels directly and ask them. We stayed in a hotel on White Sand beach 2 years ago (can't remember the name) and they initially did not allow dogs but after a phone call they said it was ok. Watch out for the soi dogs on the beach though as they are mega aggressive and will attack your dog without hesitance.

    Tompa,

  5. North Korea much better than Thailand... :cheesy:

Sorry folks, the entries for the 2011 Most Outrageous Post award are closed now, we have a winner already.

You're just a victim of mass-media brain-washing. Go educate yourself, kiddo. Or better go there and see yourself.

N.K. has it's own nuclear program. Thailand hasnt.

N.K. has free education (and it is much BETTER than in TH), including universities. Thailand is out of any compares.

N.K. has free medical service for all. In Thailand, your wallet will be sucked first.

N.K. has its own space program and a few satellites+ballistic missiles. Thailand has zero.

In NK, you'll be guaranteed for a job. A minimum payable job - but there are NO jobless ppl there. Think of it.

In NK, there is no world economical crisis. At all.

NK has it's own automobile production (designed, built and being exported to China). Read again: China imports NK's cars, while it is well known as a main EXPORTER of everything. The answer is simple: NK's cars are better and cheaper than CH's ones.

NK is the only country where you not paying taxes. Any. It is tax-free country.

And the main thing: NK is not licking anyone's ass (in terms of countries).

I may compare thousands of points...should I continue? Yes, they are having hard times now after their Big Brother (USSR) is down 20 years ago, and there is no support. They MUST live at their own - and they DO live, and IMPROVING the things. Can you imagine Thailand live 20 years without any abroad support, and improve anything? Noway. Can you imagine USA living 20 years behind the concrete wall (no any import of anything), and improve something there? Noway.

Im really proud of those ppl. Really. Go there and see. They are very friendly, EDUCATED (all!), and the main dream is not having a new iPhone - but to see both Koreas united again (!).

PS: aahh, I forgot: Thailand has hubs, NK has not...

Amazing how brainwashed some people can get! If you love North Korea so much why don't you move there, I'm sure they would be more than happy to welcome you to one of their camps!

  6. If passed by Parliament into law, it will give the national police chief the power to censor, close down and threaten the constitutional rights of any newspaper with impunity.

To those not following the plot closely, the current police chief is Thaksin's brother in law. How convenient.

Apparently, you are not following the plot closely, since Mr. Thaksin is divorced. As such, the "police chief" is not his brother in law.

It is uncommon for divorced people to remain "close" to their ex inlaws. Based upon the expert opinion of TVFers, it seems to be the norm to put as much distance as possible between the ex inlaws and the divorced spouse.

In respect to the issue at hand, the Nation with its small following has appointed itself as the official opposition to the democratically elected government of Thailand. Perhaps the Nation is worried that its rabid vociferous opinions that denigrate and insult the government are coming back to bite it on its posterior? If the Nation spent as much time on constructive criticism and unbiased reporting as it does on stirring up animosities, and spewing hatred, it might not be in panic mode?

Yes, you are really red to the core, and ONLY YOU and your fellow reds believe that Thaksin divorced his wife for any other reason than to escape massive tax evasion penalties, and other stuffs. ONLY YOU and your fellow reds believe that the ex brother in law has been appointed for other reasons that he is the ex brother in law.

Your never ending red sh*t propaganda is really tiring, and serves no purpose.

By the way, I hope that you will react strongly to the fact that some trucks full of food donated by Thai people are marked on the side with a banner saying that this is a gift from Thaksin.... Or will you give us the same explanation that another of your heroes, namely Natthawut ???

    Well said :jap:

  7. The majority of small shops like this are not registered businesses so don't pay tax and would not care one bit in following the new 300b rule.

Some noodle shops I go into have 4-5 girls working. 1-2 girls could do the job but still they have 4-5 girls. Mostly friends or relatives from some faraway village. The proprietor, who may or may not be related to them "takes care" of these girls so they don't come to harm. They sleep in the back or upstairs somewhere.

No one works very hard and no one's paid very much, and the proprietors aren't making much either. While i'm all for raising the minimum wage to 300 baht (or even 400), what do you think will be the consequences for these little noodle shops I'm talking about?
