I always give my wife a letter allowing her to travel to Thailand with our son. They both have Thai and UK passports. I include a copy of my passport with my letter.
-
I should also mention, that when visiting many countries, a passport must be valid for between 3-6 months prior to traveling. So, in reality, his passports have been renewed well before the 5 years is up. ?

The kid travels a lot with the family and his 5-year passports fill up BEFORE they expire and need replacing.
For the same reasons I have had maybe 18 UK 10-year passports and I am nowhere near 180 years old!
NanLaew, correct, he has filled up his passports with immigration stamps.
Back to the passport issue.
We have been told that we can get a Thai Birth certificate at the outreach in Birmingham today, then they will give him a new passport as well.
Good news, as we will only have to make one trip to Birmingham, much easier than a trip to London with an overnight stay, to be at the embassy at 9 am!
Still not sure how we were given his previous passports without a Thai berth certificate.
Thanks everyone. ????

If he does not have a Thai birth certificate issued by the embassy in London he will not be able to get a Thai passport.
Birth registration info is here. http://www.thaiembassy.org/london/en/services/82037-Birth-&-Death-Registration.html#1
Thanks unonjoe
the strange thing is, that our son has never had a Thai Birth certificate, only a British one!
He has had two Thai passports, both issued in the UK. One from the Thai Embassy in London and one at an outreach day in Poole UK a couple of years ago.
He has traveled extensively with us, hence the need for his Third Thai passport (he is also on his third UK Passport) but for the life of me, I can’t remember the Thai Embassy ever asking for a Thai birth certificate?

No photos are needed. They will do the photo digitally.

Thanks for the replies guys.
The link to the Embassy site indeed shows the required documents, however, our son doesn’t have a Thai ID Card, no Thai birth Certificate and he is not registered on any Thai house registration.
Only my wife has Thai ID.
He does have dual citizenship (British/Thai as does my wife) with British Birth certificate and normally resides in the UK, with frequent long stays in Thailand.
Will the fact he doesn’t have Thai ID or Thai Birth Certificate and is not on any Thai house registration affect his Passport renewal application!
Spoke to the Thai embassy again this morning, but didn’t get a straight answer, so don’t want to do a round trip of 8 hours for nothing.
Forgot to mention, he is 7 years old.

The Thai embassy are holding an outreach passport renewel in the Birmingham temple this weekend 8th & 9th
As usual, no information on their main London Embassy!
looked online and they say we need Thai house registration and Thai ID card to renew our sons passport, neither of which we needed when we got him his passport in Poole, Dorset, UK a few years ago.
Anyone any idea just what we need to take with us?
We have talked to the London Embassy and have had 3 different answers!
last time in Poole, the Thai Ambassador and his assistant did the passport and photos for us, but as we know, Thai rules change from day to day.

You son can enter the country using his expired Thai passport. No need for them to use their UK passports.
For your wife to apply for the passport you need to do give her parental consent notarized by the embassy in London or one of the consulates. Consent form is here in Thai. http://www.consular.go.th/main/contents/files/services-20120630-195748-510034.pdf
I assume your son has a Thai birth certificate since he has a Thai passport. That will be needed to apply for the passport and copy of his house book registry.
Requirements for the passport application in Thai is here (includes a list of passport offices). http://www.consular.go.th/main/contents/images/text_editor/files/Manual PP/15-12-60-under20-edit.pdf
Thanks Ubonjoe. I’ll look into it.
Not sure if he has Thai birth certificate, as we got his second (the expired one) Thai passport here in UK. He was born in UK.
May be easier for us all to take a trip to London and get it there at the Embassy. ?

My Thai wife and son both have dual passports BritishThai.
They are going to Thailand next month and traveling on their British passports as our sons Thai passport is out of date.
Is it possible for my wife to get a new passport for our son in Thailand?
im not going this time so she will have to do it on her own.
Ive already given her a letter to let immigration know that I’m happy for him to travel to Thailand with his mother.
She is taking his British Birth Certificate on which I’m named as his father.
What else does she she need to take.
Any advice welcomed. ?

Question for you, who would they come after for the repayment of the overpayment money?
I expect the executors of his will would be liable if they had not informed the relevant authorities of his death.
Any overpayment that was put into the deceased bank account would have to be returned.
If his wife profits from the overpayments, then she would be required to repay the money.
Wether the UK Department for Work and Pensions chase her in Thailand, is another matter.
Similar happened to me in UK when my father died. The DWP were all over me within days for the overpayments to be returned.

They take them down the opposite way they put them up.

Any Thai wife worth her salt, would ensure her husband knew
which brush was to be used inside, by shoving the correct one
up his ar@e. He would then be able to choose the correct one, even in the dark, simply by the feel of the handle.

Well, that drop kick stop was legal. The rider didn't have a helmet on.

Why would it, when they mostly take 100% now!

Fill your car with fuel and drive until the fuel runs out. Add 100 miles to the distance you have just traveled and build your house there.

They're buying into a fantasy.
Sometimes a bit of phone sex.
cant they just say to them I will give you hand to hand (cash) and no other way and keep insisting on that, besides Thailand has affordable P4P services then why even bother , I m starting this topic because I have a dude who got scammed 5K from some Thai lady online ??
Tell him to take a number and join the 5K queue. It stretches around Thailand.
So do the 10k,20k,30k---5million Baht rip off queues.

Got 10 year UK visas for In laws last month, no problems at all. They had 2 previous 6 month visas in previous years and this application went as smooth as they did.
I did all the forms in UK then sent them to Thailand for them to take to interview. I also booked interview appointments and paid the visa fees, which they paid back to the wife

There are plenty of Ph neutral soaps on the market that should help in avoiding the skin problem.
How you use them are a different matter. Some are in soap bar form, others in liquid form.
