Getting the vaccine does not mean that you cannot get, carry or spread COVID-19!!!  Even if the vaccine is effective for an individual, it does not stop that individual from carrying and spreading COVID-19.

Sorry trials still on going so nobody knows one way or the other .So  why do people keep saying you can still spred   it .Nobody  was a clue so stop spreding nonsense

Regardless whether TAT will or won’t allow isn’t even CONSIDERING the possibility somewhat dangerous? we already know that certain vaccines only have fifty something percent effectiveness. Potentially then fifty percent vaccinated people are still carriers?

    stranger danger. !

How do you get 5o% last time I looked 3 European ones that are out are 90, 94 70% effective so please get your facts correct

Only a proposal, but there have been so many already.  Does anyone know the possible issues after vaccination? Are there any studies of people who have already been vaccinated?  Is it still possible to be a carrier and pass the virus on after vaccination?  Common sense does not obviously prevail.  No one in until the virus is eradicated and solid proof that the vaccines work properly (and that takes time).  Bit of a bummer too for those of us here who wish to travel abroad...but, so be it.

But a virus doesn’t just disappear you do understand  that , really got to adapt move forward start living again maybe end of the year

The government tried that when quarantine first came in. Most people in quarantine dissappeared which is why state quarantine was brought in. The UK are doing the same with similar results except that in Thailand there now is no Covid whereas its raging in the UK with full lockdown again in place. Is that what you want for Thailand?

Raging in uk lol utter rubbish I don’t no anybody who has had it , Also I know plenty that didn’t go for testing yet got result through the post to say they have tested positives . So much lies going around about this covid

    You're right.

You cannot have a tap like this turned off without serious economic fallout.  And it has only just started.

Those businesses shuttered won't be back in for at least several years.

5 yers just can’t see it tbh ,Thailand and world economy find it difficult if it’s another year but 5 years no chance this might be when it’s all put behind us to a degree

this Pandemic is here for the long stretch,, last one was over 2 years long. If Thailand does not get a grip and just accept that it doesn't matter what they do with tourism I can see it becoming a serious humanitarian crisis. Infrastructure investment needs to be done so now is the time to prepare for the recovery after the global crisis.. The USA is getting worse, South America is getting worse, India is getting worse, Europe is much better but there are now early signs of a second wave in Spain and the UK. Tourism is dead, it will be for a long time.. Stay safe, knuckle down, the ride is going to get worse before it gets better.

There’s no second wave in uk figures by the week are down, only isolated areas Oldham .blackburn couple more have spiked

  7. I am in Australia, and I am due to fly out tomorrow, 1 night in Bangkok and 9 nights in Pattaya, havent cancelled yet, but am considering it. Any thoughts??

Pattaya should be safe enough, shouldnt it?

Yeah mate, Pattaya is real safe :) , if you don't get raped, beaten, robbed, mugged by ladyboys, ur hotel safe robbed, killed on a motorbike, beaten up by the baht bus driver or ur throat cut or launch yourself of a high rise hotel balcony, OR ANY COMBINATION of these, pattaya is completely safe.

It is reasonaly safe despite your comments as long as you maintain your senses.

    Cheers

Well, I'm in Pattaya and none of the above from neverdie seem more likely here than they would have been in London, with the exception of the motorbike comment. I was nearly run down by some farang hoon on an overpowered m'bike. Why do morons think it's OK to come here and drive through crowded sois at 100 kph? ( yes, we all know why, really ).

To reply to the OP, it doesn't feel like Pattaya has suffered much. I reckon there's just as many tourists as normal for this time of year, with the exception of the Chinese package tour hordes. Mind you thet's great for most of us, as not so many of those tour buses thundering along Beach Rd.

Are you serious ,ive just come back this morning from patts, talked the bar owners ,girls and all agree that its been the worst for tourist for a long time.Ive been coming for the last 6 years and never seen it so quiet.SOI 7/8 DEAD,SOI2/3 DEAD,SOI DIANA DEAD,WALKING STREET NOT MANY PEOPLE.So really i dont no where you are coming from.THE only bars that are doing ok are the more popular ones.IM NOT JUST MAKING THIS UP ITS FROM THE PEOPLE WHO I HAVE TALK TO ,YOU ONLY HAVE TO LOOK.This time of year ive seen 2 or 3 times more people.

I dont post very often but always read forum,I think you had too many singha mate and seeing double or even triple people that werent there :D .

Never saw any trouble at all from the reds, had a brill time.So i would say its safe to go,well as safe as patts is :D

  8. Agreed, the saest and most cost effective way. The othe ris to leave it in yout UK account, get an ATM /debit card on the account. Go to Thailand, open an accountand withdraw by cash advance at the Thai bank in baht ( no fees) from your UK account. Deposit to Thai bank account. Same result. Legal.

Except if you do it that way, you'll have to pay 1.5% minimum which on GBP 10-20K is a lot of money just going down the toilet!

1.5% of what.. - where is that charged. I have used this system under advice from my lawyers and my bankers for many years.

It is legal and is doesnt cost anything.

The baht exchange rate her ein Thailand is always much better than in UK (same for other currencies.)

So what are you talking about pls? :)

ive been told about this,i have a halifax and nationwide debit card, how much can you with draw from cash advance from your account in baht at ant one time .I know from atms from out side usually 10,000 baht,is there a maximum amount , or does this depend on your bank.Halifax is £600 from counter each day so will this be the same in thailand.Any advise cheers :D

  9. Will they be closing the bars?

clearly this poster has his priorties right :D

To right alot of people have worked hard through out the year, and want to have a good singha or 2 when in pattaya, dry pattaya :o f... me that would really hurt pattaya big time.I know you will always get a beer but all this is really p...ing people off. When will this all end, hopefully for all concerned soon.FOR GOOD ,BUT I DOUBT THIS :D

  10. hi just a quick question about multple-non-O- visa from hull.just how easy is it to get if you tell them that you are seeing friends.I plan to go out some time next year ,plan to go for 6 to 8 months so i thought this was the best option but if i want i can stay longer with this. What kind of proof do you need and do you need a certain amount of money in the bank .Cant be that easy to get can it!
