  1. I am flyign into bangkok tomorrow night to watch a friend fight in Lumpinee, is there anywhere near by I could stay cheaply for 2 nights - i.e. cheap guest house, etc?

Also I am wishing to store my bags for 2 weeks whilst I travel to Isaan, does anyone know of anywhere?

I am wondering whether it would be cheaper to stay in say Khao San and travel to Lumpinee, or just stay in Lumpinee... hmm.

  2. Does anyone know of any good gyms in Isaan that will take foreigners (other than Legacy) I have heard that Kiatmoo9 is good but have no word as to if they take foreigners :o

  3. I have just finished private tuition of a 14 and 9 year old in Koh Samui Thailand. I taught them KS2 / KS3 and GCSE work over the course of 9 months in English, Maths and Science.

I am an English male of 21 years and have A-levls in English, Maths, Business and ICT.

I would be interested in job offers from schools or private tutoring, please send me a PM for further discussion.

  4. OK... So I STUPIDLY bought a return ticket when coming to this beautiful country, I've found out since the ticket expires on 29th September and I want to stay until at least December, I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere to book a ticket under 500GBP, my reasoning being that it costs me 75GBP to change the date on the ticket from August 5th, so if it is only an extra 425GBP I would pay it.

So, Thailand to England under 500 in December/January/February... possible?

  5. My name is Marc Aplin,

Having lived and traveled in Thailand for 3 months now I am looking for some Freelance work either Corporate or Journalist based. I've had numerous works published back home in England for companies such as Central Facilities and Phones4U in the form of press releases, and more journalism based works such as Muay Thai (kickboxing) articles for English, Australian and American magazines. Further to this I worked in England as an editor for a publishing company for just over a year upon completion of university before embarking on my travels to Thailand.

For some examples of my work and to enquire further, please feel free to PM me

  6. I love Samui, if you stay in the towns and near the beaches it is as beautiful and tropical as any island around the world. It is more when you go away from the towns you find the 'dirtier' areas, which in my opinion aren't actually dirty, they are just not yet developed.

You'll have a great time here... been living on the island 7 weeks now, also in my 20's :o

  7. I was at imigration with a friend the other day as she wanted to extend her VISA by 10 days... whilst there we were chatting with a woman who said she was having her ED VISA renewed there (as you have to every 90 days). I was lead to believe you had to leave the country every three months, am I correct and if so how come she could do it there?

    Very confused =/
