  1. Hello,

I was very surprised to find "chinese" blurays with a very nice packaging, at a very low price (180 baht or 300 baht for 3d) and very good quality with all the languages and subtitles. In fact, the "thai bluray" sometimes has only "thai" and all the other languages are missing.

The ladyboy from the shop told me they are original blurays from China, well, maybe original copies with all the features i don't know. I didn't know that before and i ended up with 18 bullshit thai blurays, and if you look closer, yes it's bluray discs but with only 4Gb of data inside and almost everything is missing from those blurays.

My question is, where do they come from really, any website where we can get a closer look to those chinese blurays from their original location ?

    Thanks.

  2. Hello,

Where can i take an insurance in case my dogs attack's someone ? I just bought two rottweilers and i want to be covered in case of any accident, of course prevention and training are the best ways to prevent accidents but we never know what can happen.

    Thanks.

  3. Well, maybe we can't call them gold diggers, but any thai person involded in farang business will always want you to know less and pay more. It's the same in any other business, in my own business it's the same, i want people to know the less possible so i can take much more money from them. The more they know about my business the less i can take from them.

This is normal behavior. You guys just don't like it because they are trying to milk you away.

And i wont say calling a farang "farang" it's bad manner, i too sometime call the farangs "farang", just because it's easier for me while communicating with thai people. If i say "hey i've met ryan yesterday", they wont know who i'm talking about, but if i say "i've met the big farang with the long nose yesterday", they will automatically know who is that. Most of thai people expect the word farang while talking about a non-asian foreigner. The first year i came here i didn't like that word and it got me angry many times, but now i don't give a shit about it, because they will never change and it makes me feel good to think that i have more education than them and also more culture.

Getting angry because some poor guys call you farang is the more stupid reaction you can have, even if those guys are your family in law, for them you are just the trophy that someone in their family brought home. And even if the family in law is richer than you, you will always be the farang that their daughter took home. Keep that in mind, enjoy your life and forgive all of those who are uneducated. If they had more education maybe their daughter wont marry you anyway.

  4. I have been told by many thais; a falang speaking a little thai is cute, funny...like a child....speak too much..no good...

I' m betting you haven't. And those that have said it? I think could guess what sort of people they were.

Only prostitutes and gold diggers will tell you such a thing. The more you know the less you pay and the less they will like you, and that's good because you don't want those kind of people in your life. The more you speak thai the less bad thai people will enter in your life. And you will also find out how difficult is to make good thai friends.

You care to clarify why my response is "unintelligent"? The OP is bragging about how he can afford $30,000 watches and yet he's bothered about paying import duty. That makes no sense to me. Why take any kind of risk if money is no object? Why not just buy from a local Authorised Dealer, and get the full International warranty.

Because then the watch isn't virtually free, it doesn't matter to pay 30K for a watch if someone will pay the same amount to buy it back, to sell it fast i could afford 10% looses. If you pay 40% taxes on it, you will loose 40% of the value and another 10% for fast sell. It's common sense. I will maybe fly to HK for the PP nautilus in pink gold, not sure yet.

  6. You guys will always be farangs here, no matter how many years or how much money you give them. I always say "thai people" when i talk about them, just like they do, so i wont feel bad when they call me the farang. I'm a farang and they are the thai people, the thai sister, thai brother, thai mother, thai friend. And i prononce it always bad so they think i'm saying that they are dead...

You will never change them, maybe you can get them to call you by your name when they see you, but they will always refer you as the farang when talking in private. Because for them you are just an income source and because most of the thai people don't have any education. Don't get mad because uneducated thai people call you farang.

  7. I don't like rolex.

Probably because you can't even hold one for US$1600, much less quibble about the import duties. coffee1.gif

I want the 1600 USD watch because i like it, but i can afford a 30K watch if i want, my other choice was for a patek philippe nautilus pink gold at 38 000 USD. And it's not because i can afford that watch that i want to pay import fees, because those watches are more or less like free watches because they hold their value and you can resale it with almost no looses.
