So do you have a recommendation ?

This person asked for one, so your counter falls flat on its' face.

Personally I would say to the OP - if you have any 'nice' bits that you don't want damaged, wash them yourself by hand, or in a public machine - but check the machine first.

I very rarely use Laundry service, but when I have,  I always tip - such a thankless task.

    Thanks mate,

Found one I'm happy with. PT Laundry near Subway on just off Soi Bukhao.

  2. Hi Guys,

Just looking for a reasonably priced laundry service wash and fold around 40 - 50 Baht per kg is what I consider reasonable. Looking around the Soi Bukhao second rd area.

    Any help is much appreciated.

  3. What is the best area of Bangkok or specific places for good Thai oil massages with beautiful ladies. With special options if I feel the urge.

    Cheers.

  5. Hi Guys,

My family plans have changed for Christmas day and we'll now be in Sakon Nakhon for Christmas day and I love a real Christmas lunch. Does anyone know where I may be able to get this in Sakon Nakhon or near by.

    Thanks in advance.

    Yes.

The routes you mention (1-3) are all accessible from Patong without any detouring required at all.  However, bear in mind that the Patong-Kathu road (the main road into Patong carrying about 80% of all traffic into and out of Patong) will almost certainly be closed or restricted, meaning that the routes you mention will all have correspondingly more traffic that would otherwise be using that closed/restricted route.

Also, note that the Kata-Chalong road has construction on it (restricted to one lane in the
Chalong to Kata direction) due to a road slip that occurred more than a year ago.  That one, a smaller landslide than the recent one in Patong, has been under reconstruction for well over a year.  Traffic between Kata and Chalong has been light, but that will probably increase due to detours from the closed Patong-Kathu road.

So, basically, other than experiencing higher traffic (and therefore perhaps delays) on the routes you mention you should be otherwise unaffected by the current situation.

Thank you very much for giving the time on a solid response.

  7. Hi Guys,

My family and I are heading to Patong mid November 2022. We will be hiring a car for a week. Regarding the current roads situation can we drive from Patong to:

    1. Kata/Nai Harn/Rawai areas

    2. Chalong area

    3. Kamala/ Surin areas

Without to much detouring or am I dreaming.

    Cheers.

  8. Hi Guys,

Do you think 300,000 baht is a fair price for 1 rai of land about 5-10 minutes drive from the main street of Sakon Nakon city.

The land has a chanote title and seems as if nothing is wrong with it. It has a beautiful outlook to the rear. It has yet to be filled and compacted for building on. (does anyone know the current prices for land filling in SN city)

I'm under no pressure to buy the land and the offer is there to my family until we decide to take it.

Any advise, info or things to be careful of would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

My neighbor has a outboard boat in his driveway....Never been used as you can't go boating in lakes here, unlike back home.....

Every once in awhile I see him showing it to another farang trying to sell it......

He might as well put it in his garden & make a planter out of it.....

We are not anywhere near saltwater but I've never seen a farangs beaching a boat anywhere when down that way.....

Saltwater might be the only possible option....

Thanks for your help. I was thinking more around the Sattahip and Rayong areas (South of Pattaya).

  11. Hi Guys,

Just wondering how many of you guys living over in Thailand own a boat and secondly tow it on a boat trailer behind your vehicle. If you do can you let me know what type of boat/yacht your towing and how often you have issues with the police.

    Cheers.

  12. Just letting those who tried helping me that I've booked a studio apartment (The Deck) in Patong through Air BNB. It has ended up costing around $60 per night. I've never used Air BNB before so I hope all goes smoothly. Thanks again to all those who helped.
