  1. Very dark and smelly urine, is that it???

    Umm Ohhhhhhh

a couple of weeks ago my urine color changed to a darker yellow and has maintained this darker color ever since- i can think of no major change in my diet or my fluid consumption - any thoughts on what might be causing this?
  2. Bee Pollen helps see if you can get that.

Ive had an enlarged prostate for many years. I dont like cemicals, so I went with saw palmetto. It worked wonders. Took 3 months to notice results. I used to travel to the states occasionaly, and would stock up. Now, I am here permanantly and ran out of saw palmetto 2 years ago. I was fine for about a year, then the symptoms came back.

Im considering going to the doctor to get a prescription (cardura, or whatever he suggests), and am wondering what others who have taken these drugs think. Do they work well? Any side effects?

I would like more saw palmetto, but the initial costs, plus shipping would be a bit too much for me.

  3. Has this ever happened to anyone else? The calf of my right leg cramps up while I'm asleep, and it's so painful, it wakes me up and

I have had that and it wakes you up immediately, and hurts badly. I have found that Lipitor can cause it and it did in my case. Hope t

    this ?helps

stays cramped uphat for about a minute -- very painful. I can't raise or move the leg.

I didn't do anything strenous during the day, and there was nothing that stretched or injured the calf or leg. I play a fair bit of tennis, so the leg muscles are well developed, and after two hours of tennis in very hot weather the calves might start to cramp or feel tight, but nowhere near the state that the leg froze up to last night.

The next day, the calf is stiff and sore; so I had to massage it a lot, and apply some heat rubbing gel onto it. A day or two it should be back to normal, I think.

The weather here in Hong Kong has been very cold the past few days, with temperatures hovering around the 10 degree Centigrade mark, and while it's cool under the blankets at night, I believe my legs are well covered and warm under the blankets.

Does anyone have a clue why this is, and what might be causing my legs to cramp at night?

  4. Hi interested in the Moo bahn location and phone number. Please.

    WorldT

I rent a house in a moo bahn about 6 kms outside of Chiangmai for 7,000 B/month. 2 stories, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room and dining room - fully furnished. It was found by my wife by driving around the many moo bahns and looking for rental signs or going to the moo bahn management office and ask. Though this was several years ago and entry prices for rent may be higher but for a 2 bedroom (single story) should be found in the 5-10k mark.

  6. See you everywhere on this board but no time to answer a few questions for me? Oh well thats the way it goes

If we use the Butter inflation index figures in a couple of years could be way off.

Does anyone know why butter has just doubled in price.

I know the price of milk has increased but it hasn't suddenly doubled, neither has cheese from what I have seen.

Before anyone goes on about imports we are talking about both Allowrie and Imperial.

Back to topic; by all means retire , but only if you don't like dairy products :o

  7. read some of your replies to people, are you ok...I mean you know?

In Chiangrai if you buy the straw from your neighbor's rice crop and delay too long in hauling it home then someone else might just take some of it....or burn it for fun.

    Really they might!!

  8. hello I use big letters for the benifit of my eyes, so nothing more please on that. Wanted despertly to find someone to ask a few questions, since I will be living there in late summer.

    WT

IMO Chiang Mai is one of the greatest places on earth to visit or live. Also IMO, due to seasonal environmental pollution issues concerning regional forest burning practices, March is perhaps the very worst month of the year to visit here.
  9. Like the info on the downloads, I am in US at least for a few more months. Up impression that Internet very slow and can be a lot of money. Plan to live in Chiangmai..

    William

man i cant complain about dvd's for 140 baht.

But if you want to download them off the internet, PM me and i will tell you what you need to do.

If you have broadband with no limit, then its the best

  10. This too is not going to help, I have that router in the US, and its great.

    WTrav.

I have the same unit and have never been able to get it to work. I realize this does not help but at least you will know you are not the only one with that piece of crap.
  11. A freind of mine has recently seen a specialist regarding a sleep disorder at Suan Dork hospital in CM.

So in your opinion if you were having heart troubles, where would you go in CM? Good question! Excuse my bad eyes, this helps.

    WT

He had a sleep apneia test, but was not particularly impressed with them

You may well have to go to one of the big hosptals in Bangkok.

I would suggest that you post this topic on the Health forum for more informed assistance

Good Luck, sleeping problems are a real pain.

PS. The Ram is a useless hospital IMO and it is no surprise that you wasted your time and money there.

  12. Hello all: so who has the best burger, and what about Pizza. AM I realigated to Burger King to get a "fair burger".

    TV

I've tried the new location for the Pasta Cafe (Soi 5, Nimanhemin) a couple of times and have to revise my previously unfavourable opinion based on the old location on Nimanhemin itself.

I've enjoyed meals at the new one, which is much more spacious and inviting than the original 'hobby' resto. Good pastas and salads. Not as good a Da Giorgio (best in town for my tastes) but considerably cheaper and more relaxed, not as cheap as Italian Lang Mo but a tad better quality-wise and a step up atmosphere-wise - tho I quite like the casual atmosphere at Lang Mo for everyday dining.

Also there's a newish place selling pizza by the slice late nights, near the Rasta Cafe/Heaven Beach, etc. Not the best pizza around by a long shot (I haven't found any Chiang Mai pizzas to be all that special), but edible and convenient for that area.

    Please add your suggestions.
