Well it's silly to cancel at the end of the day unless it was the yellows protesting since they have blessed approval to take over airports/govt buildings.
Uhhhh, did you read any newspaper recently? Or are you living in the past?
Lol yes he is living in the past, that post was from March!

Sadly looks like one faction or another does not want the current stand off to end and is looking for more blood.
Look in direction of Sae Daeng and his "army" of thugs and you'll probably find who is behind these new killings.
I have to agree. All those weapons on hand, with CRES checkpoints at every exit (promising to confiscate all weapons and arrest carriers). What's a hot-headed loose-cannon indicted general to do? He's angry about a lot of things, not least because his barricades (which he directed the construction of for weeks) were never used, and will have to be taken down. He's angry because top brass have finally found their brass balls and are doing what they should have done months ago; bust Sae Daeng for treason. At least Seh Daeng doesn't have to worry about losing his pay and pension, as his good buddy Thaksin will shower him in riches.
Message to security forces: keep those cameras rolling. Don't let down your guard until the Red infection is far down the road, and all's cleaned up. Also: beware of booby traps left behind.
EDIT: if security forces are all around, as reported, ....and a drive by bomber/shooter goes zipping by - SHOOT THE FUKER!!!! Pull that weapon out, aim it, and POW! Murderer is dead. Do Thai brass teach their people how to handle a gun ?!? Just as Thai footballers need foreign coaches, so too, Thai security forces need foreigners to teach them how to shoot.
My office is right behind Central Chilom. To get there I must walk thru the Red encampment.
I can tell you for a FACT.. There are NO CRES Checkpoints anywhere around Chitlom.. and there have NEVER been any.
I have NEVER seen any government security force checking ANYTHING or stopping ANYONE from entering or leaving the area.
If anyone believes these Checkpoints actually exist, then they haven't been down there to see for themselves.
If the Government was serious about stopping this, then they MUST disband the Corrupt police and get some serious people that believe in Law & Order, and the primacy of the government, not the Mob!
CS
There is also no CRES checkpoint at Prattunam (corner rajadamri and petchburi rd). Red's are free to leave and jump straight on a Klong Saen Saeb boat and get the heck out. No check's whatsoever. There is army at various piers along the saen saeb before and after prattunam pier but they dont do much, I saw them taking photos of boat passengers the other day, but then yesterday they were not even doing that, just standing there. One of them dropped his gun on the metal floor of the pier and scared the shit out of everyone standing there though!

wasn't he born raised and educated in England? He holds English citizenship. Maybe I don't like him he seems very sly and out to feather his own nest at the expense of the thai people. Every thai I have spoken with say he is corrupt and evil. It appears that only farangs support him but what has he done or doing for you. Farangs in his eyes are just the same as the working class thais.
Every Thai I've talked to says the opposite about him. And everything bad you say about Abhisit seems to be what the people I've talked to say about Thaksin.
All the Thai's I speak to really like him too.

did you guys see the main protest site today?
look at it!! numbers surely seem to be dwindling:
-
I like it too. But the problem is they don't maintain it. There is SOOOO many dirty windows and broken tiles now that never seem to get fixed. That's what brings it down.

With all due respect, your relationship started on holiday in Nov 09, that is 2 or 3 months ago. This will look very bad for a tourist visa application, suggest you wait at least another 6 months to prove the relationship. Also, you will VERY likely not get any longer than the 3 month stay on first application. Will have NO FURTHER STAY condition, so will require leaving the country before another visa can be applied for.
I think you are rushing into this.... give the relationship more time, you go visit her a few more times at least.

its ridiculous, a taxi is 180 baht
-
erm yes, why not check the rooms out before you commit to a place? I love Samet, and I just arrive on the island and look for a place. There is lots of nice places at good prices. No need to book first.
-
Was the flight ticketed and a ticket NUMBER generated... not the PNR reference but an actual e-ticket number? I doubt it very much, in which case you never really had a ticket unfortunately
-
don't you just love how , rather than just providing a simple answer to a question, 'bobright' decides we need, ANOTHER... yes, ANOTHER thread to complain about Air Asia.
-
This thailand travel forum is rapidly becoming a 'lets whinge and complain about XXX airline' where XXX can be any airline on the planet. Surely the moderators should try and swing this forum back in the direction of THAILAND travel, rather than just a whine from someone that had a delayed flight one day, sorry to the OP, but who CARES!! These things do belong in other places, but not here.
-
Air Asia lost your luggage? That is ridiculous. It never happens with other airlines. I suggest everybody cancel their plans to travel Air Asia in the future. And fancy the bag not showing up within a few hours. Oh well, gives you time to log on here and post your Air Asia complaint at least.

another person spelling QANTAS as Quantas!! it's outrageous

Eureka, that's the way of low cost carriers. They don't want to know you, book and pay online, turn up at the airport and travel. Not happy with something?? Don't tell us because we don't give a $hit.
I travel a lot with Jetstar, and find them quite good for a LCC, and the price is very good, comparatively.
Australian pilots, good training, so that's a big plus in my opinion, and that's my opinion as a retired airline pilot.
Thai ground staff are extremely rude in both Thai and English and used words that were highly disrespectful.
Thai "waitress" was suffering from sever PMT as was the reason given by her workmate.
Paid for ONE meal package, for my daughter, but all hel_l broke loose when my pregnant wife asked to share a little of a drink. By the way only a single can of coke was ordered and not multiples as is allowed.
This was on the Oz-Thai leg and we had beverages out of my wife's immediate reach.
The tirad coming from the Thai "waitress" was only calmed when I released a barrage of Thai obsenities back at her. My swearing was harsher than her's.
You do have to pity those thai workers on Jetstar - being paid a fraction of the 'white' staff working around them.
Jetstar Intl - my opinion is : use only when absolutely necessary

The aussie elephant has made big news in Thailand this past day or 2 as well, as it was given a Thai name 'luk chai'

Very very unprofessional language.
I was just trying to help out a fellow poster and you single me out?
http://www.thaiair.com/thai-services/in-th...DF/B777-300.pdf
http://www.thaiair.com/thai-services/in-th...DF/A330-300.pdf
777-300 3 out of 6 are fitted with PTVs in economy class.
As for which aircraft is used for which flight I do not know.
A330-300 2 out of 14 are fitted with PTVs in economy.
Which planes are used for which flight I do not know.
the 4th 777-300 to be refitted HS-TKF is already back in service as per my post. So, the above info you have posted is again incorrect, even if the Thai website has not yet been updated (they are not particularly fast at updating these things). Sorry if you were offender by my unprofessional language .

1.Jetstar promotes itself on Cheap flights. What did you expect for something that sells for around 2600 baht roundtrip?
Well, I've travelled on other low cost airlines like Air Asia and Tiger Air, and they are generally reliable. When my first flight was delayed, I was kinda pissed off but brushed it off as one-off bad luck. The delay in return flight just 5 days later can only suggest operational issues with Jetstar. The only other time I've delays of 3+ hours was more 20years ago with a Quantas flight... i refused to fly with them after that too
Google: 'Jetstar Delay' or 'Tiger Airways Delay' or 'air asia delay'
Nice to see you holding a grudge against 'Quantas' for 20 years over a delay. Have you tried Qantas? I find them much better
-
LOL, you even made more of a fool of yourself by continuing to post in this thread wacky.
Please tell us how many B planes have crashed wacky
cdnvic has it right, completely.
-
I think that any airline which delays a flight by more than one hour should be immediately shut down and all it's executives and their entire family should be jailed for 5 years. I was so distressed to see your email and I hope you never encounter any further delays in your life.
I agree. It really is quite outrageous.
-
Perhaps you just better not fly mate, you could look into the history of almost every kind of aircraft designed on the planet and find a fatal crash and start speculating that this could happen on any upcoming flight you might be on.....
thanks mate. just paranoia? still, it's not just any old fatal crash but one that both airbus and air france say was probably due to a correctable equipment problem.
Yes, and that was the only fatal crash ever of an A330 in airline service. Despite that crash only one airliner, the 777 boasts a better safety record. (A380 not being counted as few are in service yet)
Keep it in perspective.
06/30/1994. A330 crashed due to pilot error, not counting the last Air France crash the total number of A300 series planes involved in crashes/incidents stand at 33.
omg- every airbus is in the 300 series.... like every boeing is in the 700 series. clueless

these CC rules apply to online bookings, walk into any travel agent and won't be a problem. Or pop into your local Thai office if you have one, you can book online with them then attend at the office to sign a form.
one way tickets are often more expensive than returns, you could try buying a return discounted ticket and throw away the return portion.
-
No... nobody has. you are the first person.
-
Have had nice wi-fi in the cip lounges since the beginning so the real regulars probably couldnt care less
-
I just tried again for 12Oct. at 10;45 anf for 3 passengers it is 90b each more than for 1, not a lot of money and it just might be worth it not to have to book 3 seperate times
I tend to agree with the scam explanation.
of course you would, you are in Thailand - so you are being scammed for sure right??
Never mind airline inventory control as an explanation.
