Problem was with Central one. Case open already but they really didn't care. And I actually recovered my device out of the workshop for fear of any more issues. Zero confidence, Apple say that they have no control over the service in Thailand and are aware that it is sadly lacking. They do not carry any spares and ship on a job by job basis from Hong Kong, Singapore or China. Surely if they are aware of the problems they should do something about it! In the short term why not courier to and from the customer to a competent service location? Anyway the saga will go on no doubt.

Don't recommend iCare Chonburi. Horrendous. Rude and incompetent.

How very fortunate you have been. iCare service from experience is appalling and I am still facing an ongoing struggle with them to replace a defective screen under warranty. Having been in contact through Singapore with senior support staff in Australia, USA, Philippines and Singapore there is no progress other than that they are dealing with a barrage of complaints about service in Thailand. Their latest suggestion is to go to either Hong Kong or Singapore as they can't provide service in Thailand. Absolutely brilliant. At the end of the day there is clearly significant risk in buying Apple products in Thailand unless you are prepared to think of it as a disposable item.

You can use Safari. Just enable Developer menu from Safari Preferences and you can emulate IE. Works fine.

I have a vehicle registered in my name and need to move the registration from one province to another. Does anyone have experience or know the procedure and documents required? Thanks.

Yeah, overall the vehicle is excellent, good build quality, comfortable, good performance and economical. The only downside and it is serious is that the media centre now installed is from Clarion whereas the previous one and that was ordered was Kenwood, vastly superior. Be warned the Isuzu / Clarion has many bugs, including poor and outdated mapping, routing errors, failure to recognise telephone numbers in contacts if they are are suffixed with ±nn for country code as mine are as I travel internationally. For playing music it's fine but don't expect much else. Be prepared to rip if out or use a Garmin. The savings Isuzu must have reaped out of this deal must be enormous. Not using a good quality Thailand map like ESRI is unforgivable. They expect us to wait a year before they will fix, amazing. Makes you wonder what the attitude would be if the engine had design defects.

Swimming Pool Problem?
in Swimming Pool Forum
Posted
We have a swimming pool that has what looks like algae growing above the waterline in a lot of areas. The water comes into contact with it when swimming. I'm wondering if this could be the cause of eye infections? Shout the pool service guy be removing it? Or is it harmless?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
