  1. Got a bit of hesitation with the new regulations:
I need to bring 3 members of my family who are fully vaccinated here for NYE. All arriving from Belgium. From my understanding, there are entitled to the Test & Go scheme with one single day of quarantine in a hotel.
But when I go to https://asq.in.th and I choose the Test & Go scheme, there is no Samui or Phuket in the list.
So does that mean that the Test & Go is not applicable to Sandbox destinations? (which would be over stupid)
If yes, does that mean they need to do their single night of quarantine only in Bangkok and then will be able to freely book a BKK-USM flight with Bangkok Airways?
    OR
Is it possible to have the Test & Go done in Samui, and if yes, how?
    Thanks.
  2. Well I'd like to know where I can make and purchase Custom-Fitted Sound Attenuation Ear Plugs for Musicians..

    I am DJ and I need a -25dB pair...

If there is no way to find some in Samui, maybe someone could tell me about another place where I could make some? Bangkok? Suratthani?

or maybe an online way to do it, like they send you a do it yourself kit that you send back... and then they send you the custom product?

    Thx

  3. Is anyone going to Bangkok tomorrow (26 sept) or the day after (27 sept) by car?

If you want company and wanna share the gasoline fees with me just drop me a mail

Bus is pain in the *ss, too slow & the flights are full.

I'm in Samui. Even if you are in Phangan or Tao, we can meet each other at Donsak Pier.

    Thank you

  4. Hi there,

Well, since days I've got SMS every single day around 8am from INNSMSHORO with my horoscope content in thai...

How can I stop this spam? I'm using 1,2 call and I've never accepted to receive such an annoying thing !

  5. i had my iphone screen replaced inside tesco lotus. i don't know that they can fix your specific problem but at least it's a place to start. i don't remember the name of the specific shop but the search function should find it since we did this thread only a month or so ago.

The shop you're talking about in Tesco is named Bliss Tel Shop and it's highly not recommended to bring your phone there. Why? Coz the last time I've brought my iphone there, the guy made me wait 2 days and when I finally come back to pick up the phone he told me "I'm sorry I can't remember how to reassemble it..."

Hopefully he sent me to another shop which is 500m far away from the Tesco on the mainroad (opposite side of Tesco 500m on the right when you coming out of the Tesco front entrance, near the police station, the name of the shop is written in thai but I can't remember the exact name. I can just remember a small wall right in the entrance of the shop, same wall as they build to prevent the floods coming inside the shop)

In that one, the guy is such a professional, he spend all day on repairing tons of phones and he just repaired mine in a few hours the same day.

And really cheap as well !!

HIGHLY recommended that you bring your iphone 4 to him, he knows how to deal with for sure.

  6. No usually then owner come to pick up the rent, but as she's walking as fast as a turtle as she seems to be kind of sick, I assumed she sent a guy... And the guy came exactly the day I was expecting she to come pick up the rent which is the part that made me confused... Everything went fast I didn't take much time to think..

"on a related note at www.scamferang.com somchai posted....

' Cant believe i nearly got away with going to a random ferang house and asking for his rent !, silly ferang didnt have any moeny on him, but still came on my motorbike with me... ' didnt go to well, as i should have hidden my tattoo;s"

Is that a joke or smth? The website even doesn't exist...

  7. I've just almost been victim of a scam !!

A thai guy (I've never seen before) knocked my door and ask me to pay the rent of my house. I guess he was sent by my old owner to take the rent from me. But having no money with me at home, I've followed him to the ATM.

He offered me to go with him on his motorbike. I've refused and followed him instead with mine.

Then when I realized that the guy had like hundred tattoo & a very bad ass face I've told him I'll pay the owner cash in hand instead of giving him.

He insisted to have "at least" 1000thb to pay the electricity because "they were about to cut it off".. Too bad, I've paid it since few days.. So when I refused he just ran away on his motorbike & me on mine...

The craziest thing is today is the real day I suppose to pay my rent. How did he know???

I guess they are several people like that taking a chance at the end of the month to try to scam tourists in their rented house...

    Nice try anyway but.. ไม่โง่นะ ! สมองก็มี..

  8. Well, as I've opened this one, I might close it by the following :

Finally I've been exempted of paying any overstay fees as Sadao :)

"The head office of the Thai Immigration Bureau just sent us the following message:

Any person that overstay their visa period between 27th March to 1st of April will be exemt from usual penalty charges due to the extreme weather conditions.

Ferry passengers from Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao with tickets between 27th March and 1st of April must keep their tickets to show to immigration departure to be exempt from overstay charges.

    Stay safe."
