  1. Oh no, don't insult the corrupt, lazy, idiotic and damn right stupid police force of Thailand. What a joke! Had many dealings with the Thai so called police and been left feeling let down, threatened and shocked at their incompatance. A police force filled with half wits who are fully responsible for most of the serious crimes themselves, who can be seen constantly breaking the law and then turn around trying to enforce it onto others whenever it suits them for their own needs. If you know one and have a bit of money you will be fine. Cross one or get on the wrong end of the law by standing your ground and relying on the truth and justice then you don't have a chance.

I don't care what they think, MAFIA IN BROWN UNIFORMS !!!!!!!!!

  2. 99 pages and no solution.

LOL that's good, I like your sense of humor at this difficult hours. You should have been a good facilitator on negotiations!

The order for the Thai forces to open fire has been the worsed one yet. The only other countries to do that have been places like Iraq and Bosnia, is Thailand next on the list for that slippery slope. Next thing you know there will be someone burning the USA flag. Don't reply to that, it was meant in jest...

  3. This is Thais' politic, STAY OUT OF IT.

We DO NOT need any interference (pro or against).

Yeh, heard that before. Until thoasands get killed and there's nothing more you can do but ask the UN to help you. Don't push away any support you can get. Lot's of foriegners live here and come here for holidays, and also support your cause after seeing and hearing...

OH, MAYBE YOUR RIGHT, WHY BOTHER??? let's just pull out all the media coverage your getting, all the help and caring coverage, lets jut leave you to get on with it eh???? Idiot!!

THIS IS OUR HOME TOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just submitted these photos to BBC. I suggest you the same to BBC and other media outlets.

I do not think that they will publish it since we did not take these pictures ourselves. Copyright stuff.

    Anyways, I submitted it.

This is the video of the baby used as human shield. I have taken this video today at 14.15 h under the expressway.

Please spread it! I give permission that it can be used! Those Reds are insane!!!

I know it was probably not possible, BUT, you should have taken that child to safety and give his parent/gardian a real good slap around the ear for putting an inocent child in such danger. He should not get away with such a selfish act. What a complete idiot!! Hopefully your pics can be used to find this man and have him punished by removing his bllas with a pair of pliers and a blow tourch.

  5. Thais shooting Thais with live ammo. Haven't they heard of crowd control, the use of water cannon, plastic bullets, tear gas, roit police and horses, bringing down the number of casualties? How can any Thai squaddy comply to an order to shoot on his own kind with live ammo because they are demonstrating for something in which they believe. This really will effect Thailand for many years to come. A whole country slit down the middle. A real mess which will now only get worse. Keep firing live rounds and they will have no choice but to go underground which will probably result in the likes of roadside bombings in public places etc. The end of the land of smiles is here. Sad times. My thoughts are with the dead and wounded. R.I.P.

  6. There are many reports from around the world of the H1N1 vaccine causing serious health concerns

Would you please be more specific, because the information that has been made available from the various health agencies in the EU, USA, Canada and Australia all indicate otherwise.

    I have written this before and I will write it again to impress upon you that your statement is inappropriate and unfounded;

The (A) H1N1 in the regions I referenced have been made the same way for the past few decades. All that is different is the strain. If people were going to have died from flu vaccines or grown horns out of their heads, we would have seen it over the past 50 years.

If folks do not want to take the locally manufactured vaccine based upon the lack of information provided by the Thai health agencies, I respect that decision. However, the Australian and French manufactured vaccines available in Thailand are safe.

Even though the vaccine was produced to be administered to animals, not humans?

  7. Yes, you can be sure your not the only couple having to go through these control measures and red tape, which they seem to change every year or when ever they please not making it any easier.

I'm married in Thai, with a son who will be two in May and another on the way due Aug-Sep. We have a house etc. together, all paid for. But, i'm just a tourist who needs to get visas and do boarder crossings, oh the joy!

I'm just applying for my first type "O" now at Hull, all I have sent in is a copy of our marriage cert and a passport photo along with the application form. I hope that is all they will need to aprove.

Good luck for you both. Hope it all turns out well for you. :)

  8. If successful (which I doubt) the real losers will be Thai teenagers who could never afford the ridiculous prices that the big labels charge for goods they produce using cheap labour. As far as I am concerned if piracy puts these companies out of business then it is a victory for common sense!

    I agree.

Just another game of cat and mouse for the Thais. Presure coming from the big brand companies who get their products made here and then charge 5x the production cost.

  9. This must only be for road traffic accidents outside of the cities and built up areas. It does not stop the problem of transporting casualties by road (in ambulances) in the cities. Other road users do not give way to emergency vehicles with siren and/or blue lights flashing. As every farrang already knows, every second counts for some casualties, LET THEM PAST! :)

Or give propper training to ambulance drivers, then give them the right to nudge cars out of their path. :D:D:D

  10. Hey, I have an idea for a great new FPS video game!

    It's called "Get The Tuk-Tuk".

You basically drive around Phuket Island armed with .50 cals and rocket launchers blasting any tuk-tuk that gets in your way.

And if you see any jet-ski operators out on the beach you can dispatch them as well for bonus points!

    Think it will sell?

    :)

Sorta like Donkey Kong or Super Mario Brothers, eh?

More like GTA. Yes sounds like an excellent idea, go for it!

Tuk-tuk Phuket up! I'd buy a copy! Let me know if it ever comes out.

  11. R.I.P.

Thought it has been a bit quiet the last couple of days. Any idea what went wrong?

They usually fly over my house, in circles, all day, round and round and round. I tell you, if any hostile air force ever flies an aircraft into Ubon airspace and tries to do a circle... they've had it! Circle masters here! :)

    Ubon

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....... BIG MAC with fries and sprite..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!

Macy D's... Ubon... Macy D's... Ubon... Macy D's... Ubon...

    I wonder if there's a frech frie available?? :)

  12. I'm 37 and from the UK. I'm self employed and work outside of the UK but for a UK company. I return to Thai every 2 months for 1-3 weeks, this can turn out to be 10-12 weeks leaving me with the possibility of having to do a boarder run every two weeks after the 30 days standard T visa has ended. It happened twice this year, the first time I travelled to Vientiene and got the 60 day double entry T visa for free. I have made do with that this year but it still left me having to do some 15 day visa runs... :D

So I've decided it's now time to get a visa that allows me 90 days, multiple entry for 12 months...

I'm married in Thai with a son, we have a house together with car, motorbike, dogs etc. all in the wifes name (not the dogs). I have a Thai bank acount in my name with my Thai address (just for bringing the money in). I will be looking to spend at least 6 months each year, including 2 trips of 60 days or more + Xmas & New Year, in Thai. I also want to apply for my Thai driving liecence and maybe later open a bissiness.

I want to apply for my visa, when I'm in the UK (prob Hull via post), before I return to work early January 2010. I will not be returning to Thai until March and that will prob only be for 2 weeks (ha ha how many times have i thought that). I have another passport I use for work so that does not create any problem waiting for visa returns etc.

    What options do I have?

    How much are they?

How long does it take at Hull from/to UK address?

What documents do i need to produce from Thai?

Do I need money in a Thai bank if so how much?

Just wanted to hear some of your thoughts and experienses before going to embassy website etc.

Cheers and all the best for

    2010 :D:):D woop! woop!
