    1. It depends upon how far you live from the immigration office you report to and how busy the office is that your report to. Both are good.

    2. You need your passport (copies will not be accepted) and completed TM47 form to do it in person.

    3. If you entered on the March 21st your report would be due on the June 18th. You can report in person up to 15 days before the report date or 7 days after. By mail it has to received by immigration 7 days before the report date.

    4. Correct if mailing it to Bangkok immigration.

Thanks a lot! I'll buy you a beer if I ever get a chance hehe. Persons like you deserve all respect.

1.If I mail it in today or tomorrow I should be all right then. Even if you mean working days, mail only takes 2-3 days within Bangkok I guess.

    2. Just saw that there is no form here: http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/download/tm47.doc

    (From http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days

    But found it here: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/tm47.doc

I guess that's the one? But how the h*ck am I gonna fill that one in, looks super weird in Microsoft Doc.

    Edit: http://www.imagedig.com/ftp/tm47-CM 2014.pdf
Found that one, is that one OK?

3.ubonjoe: I saw in another thread that you said you add stamps at a value of 40 baht because instead of a 10 baht stamp? Is that recommended? I figure its better to put like 50 baht to be safe?

    4. In the form it asks for "arrival card #" now can I know what one? I only have the depature card left obviously.

  2. Hey

I have been looking trough some post here but still not 100% clear.

1.How do you recommend doing the 90 days reporting? By mail or in person?

2.If I go in person WHAT is needed? Do I need to bring my original passport then as well? Problem is that my passport is gonna be an embassy for visa.
So I wanna take all the copies of the passport I need before going to the embassy?

3.If i entered Thailand 21 Mars, do I need to go to the office/send the letter 15 days before 21 june?

4.If I choose the mail option, I guess that the info here is correct: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days

    Thanks alot!

  3. Any chance of talking to other residents of building? They will be most likely to know which performs best.

I thought CS Loxinfo had gone the way of the floppy drive.

The things is that True is new in the building so nobody really has it yet.

questions to ask TRUE. How many subscribers are going to be on the same connection box? I believe but i may be wrong that true do the shared Fiber as do 3bb but 3bb will tell you how many connections per box. Mine is fourth of four. So there is a direct Fiber line to just outside my moobaan, then there are 4 Fiber lines from there to each house in the moobaan. I'm about 120metres from the box.. Furthest house would be about 300m.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiber_to_the_x#Direct_fiber

    Ok thank you.

I just got told they actually have AIS 50/20 as well. Anyone have any experience with them?

  4. I've been reading on different websites that the express line to Makkasan is suspended. Is that correct? It's just the slower line that takes like 30 min to Makkasan that is operating?

If that is the case, any idea on when it will be up and running again?

  5. 1. Do I need a departure ticket within 90 days to apply or do I also need it for every single depature i plan to make? I tried both mailing and calling the embassy in Sweden but they dont answer, and the phone is disconnected (LOL)

    2. With this multiple visa can I enter thailand how many times i want? So i can go to cambodia every week and then always get 60 days upon arrival within the 6 months period?

    1. Just one ticket.

    2. Yes.

Ok, thank you! So does the depature have to be within 90 days or 60 days? (I know i can extend 30 days at the immigration, but technically the visa is just for 60 days)

I don't think anyone will be able to give you a definitive answer.

According to the Stockholm website you need flight reservations for every arrival and departure. However, you are not obligated to exit/enter multiple times. The visa is valid for entries for 6 months and you could enter only once or many times. So I don't see how they can insist on more than one confirmed arrival/departure.

I would guess that they would let you have a reservation for departures dated 90 days after arrival, but the only way you can know for sure is to contact the embassy.

Well I guess they could say no to a multple entry visa if I dont show mutiple entries. They could tell me to get a normal single entry one. Because there is "no need" for a mutiple one.

From the Thai embassy in Sweden:

    Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

    8. A copy of flight reservation showing the applicant’s name as well as arrival and departure dates (Please check whether your arrival date in Thailand is within 6 months from the date of issue. The validity of visa is 6 months from the date of issue.)

  8. Hi everyone

Do you know where one would go about to learn to talk Southern Thai? And do you know how big difference there is between the different dialects in the south, like between Chaiya (as they speak in Surat Thani for example) and Ligor (as they speak in Nakhon Si Thammarat for example)?

    Thank you!

  9. Thx Rick.

Why is there a list of businesses that cant be foreign owned? Shouldn't there be a list of businesses that CAN be foreign owned.

Anyway. So I have to go with the normal deal of 49% ownership then. Or do you mean that i cant own a hotel at all? How does all the other foreign owned hotels (non Americans) overcome these

    restrictions in that case?

How does the thousands of thousands of westerns that opens guest houses, bars and restaurants do this? I cant believe that all of them are paying that 2 million baht in capital, they must all be writing the businesses on their girlfriends right?

  10. So whats the best way of opening a guest house/hotel in Thailand?

If im not gonna employ any foreign citizens, would i still need 2 million baht in capital?

Is there some way around this? I guess i could register it to some Thai i know instead? (trust issue of course)

Ive heard that hotels/guesthouses can be 100% foreign owned in Thailand, is that true?

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

  11. Hi, I got my Visa rejected yesterday in Penang. I have 3 tourist visa. One from 2007, 2008(double-entry), 2009. But the reason I got from a friend, with contacts with the visa-workers, was because of the fact that I made an extension, I was rejected. According to him, several tourist visas would not be a problem as long as you not make any extensions.

Anyways, I live in both Samui and Surat Thani. Where would you suggest me to go? Now I only have 12 days left on my "visa on arrival". So I have to do something quick, I refuse to join the "overstay club" or buying a Visa from a private person.

I've heard Vientiane in Laos is a good place to go because, they nothing like Penang, and you can get double-entry visa. Any suggestions how to get there from Samui or Surat Thani? I imagine bus or train takes at least 1-2 days?

Any suggestions for domestic flight comparing site? I've found loads of them when I searched the Internet, but no one seems to work properly.

    Thanks!

  12. I have had thesame problem as you for a long time, but now its back to normal again, with the exemption that i cant make international phonecalls via x-lite (SIP) or skype! Witch i could before this problem started a few weeks ago. The call either doesnt connect at all or ive got a like 5-7 sec delay in my calls. What could have happend when i got exactly (or even better ping) then before and thesame up/download speed.

    Thank you in advance

  13. Are people really stupid enough to still do this but somehow intelligent enough to reach this forum and ask about it, always after the event ?

As long as you leave Thailand you can post your passport wherever you want, what you cannot do it post it from Thailand without receiving an exit stamp.

I suggest a "lost" passport excuse, pay the Bt20,000 and move on.

Yeah, that should work shouldn't it? But then again, how would the Thai immigration KNOW how long he as been in the country when he try to leave? Then they would have to check the computers where the last "enter stamp" is? (Again, is there really a record of this? I know they take the picture at the Bkk airport, but as someone else wrote i dont think they take any pictures at all the borderlines, so if its the right station with some officer typing the exit and enter stamp in?)

But isn't those "enter and exit stamps" registerd to his passport number, if he get a new passport he will get a new passport number, right? Anyone knows how this works?

  14. Ive heard about this service and from what ive heard there is no problem leaving the country, but ofcourse thats what the ones that are doing it will tell everybody.

I guess if its just fake stamps then you probably will get busted because they doesnt match the computer (do they really check that at all borders?), but if the "visaservie" actually have the right contacts within the immigrationservice, then it would work.

I agree that isnt really clever to leave your passport in someone elses hands and then get back a visa, but to spend several days (months?) in jail for it... i dont know?

I dont know what you can do now, isnt it possible to "lose?" the passport and then apply for a temporary one from your embassy? And then youll get a new passportnumber? I dont know how it works, but i dont think its fair to be facing jailtime for this? Alright to be blacklisted, but jail is a bit harsh.

  15. Im living in koh samui, where is the nearest place i can go to get at new visa?

    Thank you

You do not say what Visa you want. Most people from Samui go to Penang Malaysia.

I have a double entry tourist visa. Soon its outdated so i need a new tourist visa.

Penang will issue a single entry.

Kota Bharu Malaysia will issue a double entry. So will Vientiene Laos.

Thank you very much! Any places that i can buy a trip like that from? Or do i have to arrange with it myself? Cheers
