1. Hi all ,

I found a dealer on the internet with good things for not to high prices.

Here is the link. i hope it's allowd : http://www.satellitetvthailand.net/index.php

Has anyone experiance with this company , i mean is it a safe company to order stuff.

or is it a fake one.

why i'm asking ? Because i have orderd some things with the option COD = Cash on delivery.

They never deliverd , only a few days back i got a mail , they didnot accept COD anymore, but payment in front.

So i'm a littlebit scared to order and pay in front

they also shanged there webside , before they had thelephone numbers and a adress, now not anymore.

    Please advice.

    many thanks Easyman.

  2. Hello all,

So last sunday i missed the F1.

And i was thinking today, hello i still have a Dreambox DM500S from holland.

But here in Thailand everything is much more diffecult.

So is here on the forum somebody who is also using a DM500S with a original UBC card to watch true visions. ( till my original receiver is back from repair ).

If so can you please help me to get my DM500S working. or PM.

What image is best and what for cam do i have to use.

And maybe some other points to make it work.

Many Thanks in advance Easyman ( F1 fan ).

  3. Yes you could get a work permit. The business has to be registered, have 2 Thai empoyees and meet income requirements for the company. It would be best to contact a lawyer to assist with this.

See the working aliens act for info: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/post-a58931-...iens-Act-1-.pdf

    That is to bad,

The business is registered, But we have no employees, and no income to prove.

The other part is yes , i go in the ginning off April for an extension of stay on base off marriage.

I'll think i give it a shot at the immigration in Mea sai.

    Normally they are helpfull.

    Thanks easyman.

  4. Hello all,

I'm living now for 2 jears in Thailand.

And my Wife has opened a internet gaming cafe.

Is it possible to get a workpermit , to help my wife.

The most answers would be yes, but without she has to show all the paperwork at income - tax etc.

Just a workpermit to help my wife (at home ) in the internet gaming cafe.

Now at the moment i help her, but only at night time when it is closed and even then only whit the maintenance and mailfunctions of a computer.

For the rest i'm standing behind her and telling what to do and not to do.

And i'm telling it's terrible to stand there and you may not do anything.

Only because they maybe could come and check you out.

I'm hoping for answers who can help me. NO SPAM (kidding) Thankssssssssss.

    easyman.

  8. Anybody having problems with MaxSh*te server today. I haven't been able to get online since 6pm today. Phoned up the office in Kadsuankaew and the lady said that the server will be online tomorrow (usual bullsh*t reply). Is this problem city wide or just an isolated server? ps. I stay in the Kadsuankaew area.

I'm now getting by with a good old Loxinfo dial up service.

    Cheers....

    Same Sh*t overhere,

We are living in Phan (Chiang-Rai).

We having problems for more then two weeks already.

Before we had Indy 4 Mb. also problems with connection and speed.

At the office : ttt answer: you are running a internet cafe, you need @cafe = 5Mb. and than no problems. so okay give us @cafe 5Mb for +/- 3000 Thb.

Now one week later, Stil MANY times NO or SLOW internet ( 250 Kb. ). But sometimes it is okay , but the max. speed is about 4300 Mb.

Download speed to Europe in the beginning (first few days ) 460 Kb - 490 Kb. Very fine . last 2 days download speed to Europe +/- 200 Kb. ( Reduced again ???? ).

At the moment is my wife to the office from ttt for complaining.

    Keep us informed.

    Greetings easyman.

My wife just came back from the office ttt.

answer tt&t: Yes yesterday there was a problem. but at the moment it is okay again.

And what about the slow or no internet, answer: buy a second modem and replace it every 6 - 8 hours. that should solve the problem.

    my oppinion: BULLSH*T.

At the days , when i was living in Europe my modem was always on 24 hr's a day 7 days a week and no problem. and here a modem most be replaced every 6 - 8 hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .

TT&T has a huge problem , and don't want to admit it.

    Greetings easyman.

  10. I'l would say,

Keep the rules as they are.

But For ALL KIND OFF VISA , Buy them in Thailand.

Make 1 or 2 or 3 places (north - middle - south )For buying and checking your visa.

the same as every 90 day's leave the country. Do everything in Thailand.

Why? Because that is a way to keep the most off the Thai Bath in Thailand.

All the forreigners don't have to spent a lot off Baths in other countries for a new visa.

    Best regards.

    Hello 5tash,

You mention there is a oppurtunity to learn Thai in Chiang-Rai.

Please can you tell me where, or do they have a website even better.

I'm living not to far from Chiang-Rai, and my Thai is not so good.

  13. Hi,

I'm new to this forum too...

I am Married to a Female Thai National, we have two children together in Thailand. I have a class O visa that I extended for a year nearly 12 months ago.

Is was told today that the rules have changed and that in order for a lass O visa extention, a work permit is required. Any one know if this is true?

Any advise will be well recieved.

    Hello Callmetim,

By this i'm not sure , but what i heard about that was , wen you have the old rule , you can keep the old rule.

But if you want to be sure just call a immigration office ( better if your spousse call) and just ask.

And don't wait to long TIME FLIES. Better pick a smaller immigration office. They have more time than in BKK.

    Good luck, easyman.

  14. I think his question is if you are using a combination of income and bank account, does the bank account part have to be seasoned for 3 months just like if you were using 100% bank account?

This is coming from sunbelt asia , they also did the paperwordk for my mother, and it worked. but it is quit easy to do it yourself. we find out ofcource later.

Retirement Visa
Sunbelt Legal Advisors will complete all the required paperwork and accompany you on your trip to Thai Immigration to insure the process is completed properly, and without additional costs or confusion.

To be eligible for an extension of stay permit based on retirement you must be 50 years of age, show funds or pension that equate to 800,000 baht (note: any pension claims MUST be certifed by your embassy to be applicable.), and a provide a valid health certifcate which can be obtained from any Thailand hospital or clinic.

    Basic Requirements:

    • 50 Years of age or older

    • 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank account (90 days)

OR 65,000 Baht pension OR a combination of both.

    Immigration Order 7.17

Type Criteria Required Documents 7.21 Retirement

Each time of permission shall be granted for a period not exceeding 1 year.

    (1) Foreigner shall obtains VISA for temporary stay and,

    (2) Shall not be younger than 50 years old and,

    (3) Having evidence showing the monthly income not less than 65,000 Baht or,

    (4) Having the records of saving money in the latest 3 months of account book of any Bank in Thailand not less than 800,000 Baht or,

    (5) Having annual income combined with the saving money in the Bank not less than 800,000 Baht from on the date submitting the application.

    1. Application form

    2. Copy of passport of the applicant

    3. Evidences of having income, such as pension or interest of saving money, or dividends etc. and/ or,

    4. Certified Letter of having a bank account with the Bank in Thailand and the passbook of the account.

  15. The requirement is 40k family income - he has said nothing in this thread about having that; and he is too young for retirement.

You apply for visa in morning and pick up about noon next workday. Allow for any holidays of either country and late flights.

    Thank you very much Lopburi3.

I will have to search the internet for those holidays of either coutry for that.

I was planned to go on Sunday 27 April and on Monday 28 April for aplly my visa.

  16. Sorry, but am I missing something here? You have the requirements for an annual extension of stay. A 3 month visa is all you need. Then you go in to Immigration in Thailand with the paperwork and have it extended.

Correct , but for an extension you also need an income off 40K a month. workpermit , job and all these i don't have.

We have an income but not enough.

  17. - but now it seems I misread and rather suspect that the old "borrowed money" may be the plan.

This is the reason they brought in these rules. To stop people borrowing the money one day and giving it back the next.

the experiance i had with my mother last year was -

She had a money transfer from Holland over 800K in one time.

Bring the paper from that transfer ( from the bank in Thailand ) with you. and a letter guarantee. not older than one week.

And the normal required papers and it will be oke.

Iff you have the possibillity to do that with 800k you don't have to ge to the Embassy (saves you money), for verrifying your income.

But at the end all toghetter must be 800K ore more. even savings ore income ore a mix of it.

  18. Singapore seems to be a sure bet with anything over 400k in a bank account anywhere. You also need marriage certificate/copy and copy of wife ID card and home register. She should sign and date them.

You would probably also receive a multi in KL or Penang with that proof but Singapore seems to be more willing to list what is required.

Thank you Little Beer and Lopburi3 these are good answers where you can do something with.

Now is comming up a second question , Is there any experiance with how lang it takes to get this visa ,

When we go out from monday morning apply , wen would it be ready for pick up.

I ask this so i can calculate the flight back to BKK.

    Thanks a lot.

    Best regards easyman.
