  1. Sorry not to put / home after my www. address, but yes it is the same one and I am in Thailand at the moment but will be travelling to England on the 6th September for three weeks, so while I was there I was going to make an appointment to go to the London Embassy before returning to Thailand with a new visa but if they only supply a single entry 90 day visa then I will not bother as my current multi entry will still be valid until January 2020.

  2. Hi Colabamumbai, I did this four years ago, then you paid the Burma visa fee of 500 Baht at the entry point and had to leave your passport at the immigration office as you can only go as far as the town of Miyawaddy for a look round and a bite to eat, or you simply keep your passport and walk back over the bridge without staying. You will only get 15 days for a border crossing unless you have a proper visa for re entering Thailand. Regards HighPlains Drifter.

  3. Hi everyone, I would like an answer to this question. For the past four years I have been living in the northwest of Thailand with my Thai wife and extending my non O visa based on marriage and every 90 days report to my nearest office in Mae Sot, however my wife has now got a very good job in Bangkok so we are now renting an apartment there and only go back up north to visit the family at special times. I know from the rules I still have to report to Mae Sot but do I put my current address in Bangkok or continue to fill in the address I have always used. Two different officers have said either will do but I remember reading an article that mentioned (informants) are used for random checks on farang living here and I wonder what happens when one calls on say a neighbour who simply says he does not live here now, they are in Bangkok. What does everyone else do? Thanks for all the good advice in the past.

  4. Hello Everyone, I am English and now living in the wild northwest of Thailand for three years with my Thai wife of six years. Due to a double bereavement we had to come to Thailand to look after relatives, but for me a welcome escape from the cold and windy island.

My interests are photography and natural history so I have a wonderful opportunity with all that Thailand has to offer.

I would like to thank Thai Visa Forum for all the very useful information I have used in helping me get to grips with the difficult and ever changing Thai immigration system, not that the UK is very good in this department either.

    Best wishes and Chohk Dee.
